Open Legend of the Stone Tablet

Eric grabbed his Pokeball and examined it. A red and white sphere with numbers engraved right into the metal. Could it be? He pressed the button, and out came a Totodile. Its sleek blue skin shone as light hit it for the first time today. Its eyes were blood red, yet so very cute. Its teeth and claws were pearly white, and the yellow scales on the belly looked so supple and shiny

"Totodi-LE!?" It choked out as Eric glomped it happily. It bit his head in response. Eric, naturally, passed out.

Even the Aipom sweatdrop

Aria looked around at the people that were sending out their Pokémon. "Well, I guess I can, too." She handed the sketchbook to Ava, then pressed the PokéBall's button. Then she threw it against the ground. What emerged made Aria squeal with delight. It was a yellow, slightly humanoid object with brown shoulders. It released a pulse of psychic energy, then said, "Abra!"
"Yay!" Aria squeaked again, patting its head. Abra appeared to smile. He had a red star in the middle of his forehead.
"Your name will be Onestar," Aria said.

Ava took the sketchbook in her hand, and used her free one to stick the Pokedex in her pocket. She carefully grasped her Poke Ball, and released the creature inside.

Its face was ground, with beady black eyes and a pink nose. Large ears protruded from the top of its head, and they had puffs of tan fur on the tips. The Pokemon had the same fur on the lower half of its body. Whatever wasn't tan was brown.

"Buneary!"

Ava giggled. "Yay! It's Josephine!"

"Buunnn?" She looked up. As Ava leaned over and gently rubbed Onestar's head, Josephine hopped up and hit her new Trainer over the head.

"Ow!"

The Buneary giggled as the girl with the sketchbook looked down at her.

"It's hard to stay angry with you," she said as Josephine tapped Onestar's hand.

"Awww! Your Buneary is so cute!" Ashley exclaimed. She picked up the Buneary and squeezed it. The Buneary scratched her and jumped out of her hands.

"Oww! Sorry!" Ashley apologized as she held her arm where the scratch was. She picked up her Pokeball that she dropped.

"Pff, I WISH I could let out my Pokemon here, but it's a Magikarp, and it needs water," Ashley told Aria and Ava.

Kinara put her new Ralts on the ground, grinning.
What should I name her? Zelda? Artemis? Jake?
She grabbed the Ralts again and ran out of the room.
I have a Pokemon! A Ralts! Yay!

"Josephine!" Ava waggled her finger playfully. Her Pokemon was rocking back and forth on the floor, laughing.

Ava smiled and picked Josephine up, letting her sit on her shoulder. "I have a feeling we'll be good friends."

She turned toward Aria. "Can I have that back when you're done?"

Eric overheard Ashley as he woke up. "Actually, Magikarp don't need water. Most water types don't need it at all, actually. Also, Magikarp, when badly damaged, can be VERY nasty! I've heard of Magikarp that beat up Golem!"

Meanwhile, the Aipom was exploring the building. It soon found a room and walked in. "Ook?" It said as it poked the bed. It then clapped and climbed up, then fell asleep

"Wow, really? Golem?" Ashley asked Eric in astonishment. "I guess I'll let it out, then."
Ashley threw her Pokeball at the ground. "Go, Magikarp!" she yelled. Her Pokeball opened to reveal a Magikarp.
"Kaaaaarp..." it said.
"Awwwww! It's so cute!" Ashley exclaimed. "I'm going to name you...Swimmy!"

"That's nice." Aria smiled, poking the Magikarp. She turned to Ava and said, "I just gave the notebook to you." She pushed it closer, then looked back at the Magikarp. Aria stared at it with big cute eyes, and turned her head from side to side. "Swimmy, Swimmy...."
Meanwhile, Onestar teleported in front of Swimmy and hummed, "Aabra!" He looked at the red fish intently.

"Ohhhh." Ava nodded slightly, taking the notebook in her hands.

"Sit still, Josephine." The Buneary looked up at Ava, head tilted slightly. "Neary?"

Ava had already started sketching her Pokémon's head. She looked at Swimmy and Onestar for a moment before returning to her activity.

"Kaaarp..." Swimmy said while looking at Onestar. The two of them continued to stare at each other.

"Umm, I guess that means they like each other?" Ashley asked. She giggled. "Whatcha drawing, Ava?"

Tala noticed that some of the other students were releasing their Pokemon. She might as well have done it too, except for the urge to be the very last one, to let the world know she didn't want to be here. Those girls nearby, who were chattering and lighthearted and - and happy. Tala wanted to scream at them, to let them know this wasn't all fun and games, that they should just leave! But she couldn't. Not without drawing the attention of everyone in the room, and getting panicked. It's as if they don't think anything is wrong. As if their perfect little worlds can block out dull, boring, harsh realities like mine.

Clutching the Pokeball even tighter now, she wished it was a Dark-type. Her coin, and the number on it... Yes, she liked Dratini, and their evolution, Dragonair, even more, but how could one of those graceful Pokemon understand her? A Dark-type now... Like an Absol... No, don't think about it. It'll get me into trouble if I mention it. She passed her hand over her curving scar, eyes narrowing.

((I've been so behind in this!!!! -_- I'm deleting that post I made before, since I was totally ahead=not paying attention))

Xackori walked camly to the table holding the Pokedexes and decided on a black Pokedex, seeing as she liked Dark-types, and didn't want the Red Pokedex, which she almost did take. She next walked to the table with the Pokeballs, and took the one numbered 004, and let her Pokemon loose. "A Charmander! You're so cute!"

Xackori took a silver bow out of her bag and tied it on the Pokemon's tail. "Your name's gonna be...Silver. Okay?" The Charmander nodded, liking the name. She hugged it, the Pokemon's body feeling warm near hers. "Maybe this place isn't gonna be so bad...But as long as I have a Fire Pokemon, it's all good~" She started humming a nice, happy song, feeling the best she has this whole time.

"It's Josephine," Ava replied without looking up. The Buneary squealed with delight but did nothing else.

Ava was almost down to the lower torso. She started lightly drawing the basic shape of Josephine's waist, so that she could erase it after she added fluffy fur.

"I don't see any reason anyone should be pessimistic," she said, oblivious to anything around her. It was the first thing that came to her mind: Pessimism. A lot of people had it. Of course you were more happy if you were optimistic. Ava liked to think of it that way.

Aria nodded furiously. She tapped Onestar on the shoulder. He looked at her. Just what she wanted. "Why do you have that star on your forehead?" She then remembered that he couldn't talk. "Sorry. Never mind."

"What do we do next?" she asked no one specifically. She looked again at Onestar, who was itching his ear. "Are you okay?" She removed his hand, and scratched it for him. He hummed contently. He seemed to be saying, "Yay....."

Arylett continued to stand there, immensely confused.

Luckily, a nearby student decided to take pity on the bewildered girl. The polite student carefully demonstrated to her exactly what she was supposed to do. And finally, things made sense.

"Ooooh." She felt a little stupid, as she already had her coin out and was supposed to retrieve the Pokéball first and then the Pokédex. The nice stranger, however, smiled friendly at her. Arylett had a feeling that the stranger seemed to think that she wasn't of the right mind... or that she had some sort of mental disorder. They were acting too helpful. Treating her like a child. But she supposed she sort of liked it, at least they weren't being mean.

"So you have to go get one of these, the ball with the same number on it as your coin. Can I see your coin?" Arylett handed her the coin and the nice stranger picked out the correct ball and handed it to her. "There we are! Everything's set! Do you know how to open the ball...?"

She shook her head yes.

"Good! Tell me if you need any more help, okay? I'll be more than happy to oblige!" And the nice stranger skipped off, leaving Arylett standing there like an idiot once again. She felt both insulted that the stranger seemed to think she lacked basic intelligence and at the same time happy because the stranger was so nice and polite to her and she finally got her Pokémon.

She looked at the ball curiously, feeling the good vibes of the moment washing over her.

Aaah, she was excited at last.

Eric watched. "Why did you stop your Abra from replying? Psychic types can use telepathy, you know. In fact, some are able to speak. Such as Slowking when the Beast of the Sea was involved..." Eric quieted down and turned to Totodile. "Now... One toto for male, two for female. What is your gender?"

Totodile sweatdrop, not able to believe a human was too dumb to see his gender. "Toto," he replied to his trainer

"Male, huh? Then I shall call you... Tsunami!"

"Oh yeah! But are you sure he'd be willing? After all, I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm strange..." Aria blinked, confused.

Onestar nodded slightly. "I don't mean to hurt your feelings."

"Wow, did you just talk?"

"Of course. As your friend said, after all, I am a Psychic type."

Aria nodded. "Sorry, I'm a bit forgetful."

Onestar laughed. "I have a feeling we'll be good friends, Aria."

"Are you talking to your Abra? Wow~ It must be fascinating having a Psychic Pokemon!"

Ava stared enviously at Onestar, and at the same time happy and friendly toward him. She continued her sketch, adding the Abra to the scene, sitting in the background and looking intently toward Josephine. At least, that's what she planned to do after she finished the fidgety Buneary.

"Sit still," she said firmly, moving her pencil in round lines.

Ashley quietly watched Ava make her sketch. She then glanced towards Onestar's star on his forehead.

Wow, I've never seen an Abra with a star on his head like that! She thought. I don't think Swimmy has any special features...

Ashley shifted her attention to Swimmy, who was looking around the large room at all the people moving around.
