• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed Look Good, Boogie Down, Strut Your Stuff: A Super Contest RP!

I glanced over at another bystander with a Lucario. Lita seemed interested in the wolf Pokemon, but was very well aware of the power they had if they found a bone. Getting smacked by a Bone Rush was not her most favorite memory.

After looking over the information on the form for any missing lines or spelling and grammar errors, I turned it in to the counter.

"If it is your first time competing, I reccomend you take the Contest Training Tour--it will allow you to see the Contest Hall proper and practice in the three competitions." the lady tending to registrations assured me as she filed away my form.

Practicing for my first contest sounded like a good idea. With that thought in mind, I ran to join the latest tour group, which was forming by the entryway to what I presumed was an Internet cafe.

((Is it okay if I do mine in first-person also?))
Looking over at another excited coordinator, I followed her to the group and waited for whatever was happening to start.

Nafter suddenly swooped down and landed in front of the Contest Hall, with Ella on his back. He crouched down so that she could dismount, which she did. She patted the Charizard affectionately. "You did a good job," she muttered to him, taking out his Poke Ball and returning him to it.
She walked in to find several other Trainers already gathered there, filling out their forms. Her heels clicked as she went up to stand in line.

(You can write it however you want)

I took a moment to look around at my surroundings. The Winner's Wall was off towards the registration counters, and judging from the number of pictures on it, I knew I had my work cut out for me--some of my competition would likely have been coordinating for years, and getting Lita's picture on that wall would be my first step in getting accepted into Coordinator-dom.

(I'm a bit behind, so I need to speed myself up a bit with another post :X)

The line was not long, and Ella got her form quickly. It wasn't very long, so she filled it out quickly and ran to the tour. She had never been in a Super Contest before, but she had watched them on TV, and she had a nice fashion sense. She was pretty sure she knew how they operated, but wanted to make sure, and have a setting so that she could start planning.

After signing up for a contest, Edward fit Starr with a short black cape that wouldn't hinder his flight. He went tp the Concert Tour.

After all that wanted to go on the tour had gathered, a brown haired girl I thought was a judge came to meet us. "Good morning, and welcome to the Contest Hall...my name is Keira, and I'm one of the contest judges. I'm glad you've chosen to take part in a contest; but it can be a bit stressful if you don't know how the process works. So if you'll come with me, let's head down into the staging room, where the magic happens." With that, the group followed Keira down a hall, around a corner, and into a room dominated by a large stage that was surrounded by seats.

"Pika..." Lita was impressed by the sheer number of seats in the room.

"That's where all the people sit to watch the Contest." I explained.

After signing all the forms, Jack and Jumpup were taken by a lady to go to the Contest Tour. It was his first time anyways, so he decided to look around with a group to stay safe. While navigating around, Jack got very nervous.
"Are you ready, Jumpup?" he asked his Spoink quietly.
"Spoink Spoink!" she responded.
As they walked all over, they finally arrived on the stage where all the performances happened. It was surrounded by what seemed to be a myriad of seats to Jack. He and Jumpup stared in awe along with the rest of the tour group to the stands.
"Alright everyone," said the Tour Guide. "You will now be taken to your own practice areas. There, you and your Pokemon may practice your routine and touch up on everything you need." With that said, the guide led everyone to individual rooms. Going into theirs, Jack and Jumpup were pumped already.
"Let's practice a bit of our routine. Start of with a Splash, Spoink!" With that first attack, Jack and Jumpup were starting to get a better grip of participating in a contest already, with the room very much like where you would actually have a performance. After practicing their routine for quite a while, Jack decided to now go to his Spoink's favorite part of Contests when they trained: the dancing. Jumpup had quite a knack for rhythm, and Jack didn't have to train Jumpup much in dancing. What they had trouble with the most was the visuals, where they were now dressing Jumpup up in. Even though it was a practice session, Jack still had a lot of decision-making to do.
"Hmm..." pondered Jack. "What should we decorate you with: this fluff or this moustache?"
"Spoi-Spoink Spoink!" Jumpup replied. She didn't know much about dressing up either.
"Well, this is one thing we have to get better in," sighed Jack. In the end, he dressed up Jumpup quite well, and his introduction wasn't that bad. Now, with everything done, Jack thought he was finished with the slightly tiring Contest Tour. All he had left now was the Question and Answer interview, which wasn't too bad. He answered everything pretty well with the interviewer in his opinion, but he was a bit groggy and might have answered things too fast. However, the Tour was now over with, and he went back to the main sign-up hall, found a bench, and lied down on it. With Jumpup looking tired too, bouncing slower than usual, Jack returned the Spoink to her Pokeball, and seemed to then fall asleep on the bench.

(Sorry. Don't really know much about the tour... If you could fill me in a bit I can edit it some more.)

(The tour will show the main stage, a chance to practice introducing your Pokemon in costume, practice areas and sessions for the visual, dance, and acting competitions, and a Q and A session.)

"Hm..." Shadow said, looking up at Keira, "Tour, sure I'll go."

Even though I know this place like the back of my hand.

"All right!" A ten year old girl yelled aloud. She stood with and Eevve standing on her shoulder. The Eevee jumped onto her head. This girl was Yuki Hikari and her Eevee, Fluffy. They both looked at the building in front of them in amazement "Ready, Fluffy?" Yuki asked her Eevee.

"Vee!" The Eevee replied eagerly. She ponder of what might happen inside those doors.

"OK then!" Yuki yelled with spirit. "Let's go!" She opened the door and walked inside. Seeing the front desk, she ran over to it. "I need to sign in please!" She grabbed a paper a filled it out, Fluffy looking around as she did. Her head darted looking at all sorts of people and decorations.

"Done!" Yuki shouted. She heard a "Vee..." "Oh... yeah... Guess I shouldn't be so loud. Oh..." She went over to the tour. "Wait... Here Fluffy." She put Fluffy's favorite jacket on her. This jacket looked much like the one Yuki wore, which is why Fluffy loved it so much. "Now! Let's start that tour!" "Vee!"

"What do you think?" Keira smiled. Impressed murmurs wafted through the room.

"At the start of the contest, my colleague Dexter will intruduce the humans taking part, and it's all up to you to introduce the audience to your Pokemon. Many coordinators through the years have came up with a "character" for them to play while on this stage, and I hope to see all of the unique personas you want to share with us."

She paused to lead us to a row of doors in a hallway by the stage. "If you have a costume and want to try making an introduction, you can change while I go find Dexter, so we can treat this as a true rehearsal."

"Come on, Lita." I motioned for Lita to come with me as we entered a door marked with a Venus sign, signaling it was the girl's dressing rooms.

After finding a suitable dressing room, I set Lita on the vanity as I stepped behind a screen to change.

I first removed my jeans and exchanged them for a pair of black knit pants I kept with me at all times. Next, my tennis shoes were replaced by some black dance shoes. I opted not to put the taps on them, as the resulting clacking would be distracting to the audience.

Next, I threw off my T-shirt and put on a loose white shirt with short sleeves. My new sparkly jacket went on over that to finish the look.

After taking my hair down, gathering my casual clothes into a plastic bag, and stashing it in the locker by the bench for safekeeping, I put on my new top hat and admired myself in the mirror. For a moment, I felt like a real showgirl!

"Okay, Lita...take a look!" I called as I stepped from behind the screen in my new outfit.

"Chu..." I swore I could see stars forming in Lita's eyes when she looked at me in my new costume.

(@Mewtwo: Sure, you can change it!)

((Thanks!))

Mysti dove in the contest hall,Flametail struggling to keep up.She ran around until she found the sign-up sheet. She signed up,and relaxed a bit.She picked up Flametail and tickled her under the chin. They went into the clothes shop, and noticed they had a sale on seals. She ran over and showed some to Flametail. "You can have more than one on the ball, right?" she asked no one. Then she saw sparkly confetti. "This'll do just fine!" she said to Flame tail. Her Pokemon nodded in agreement. She went to the checkout counter."I'd love to buy this seal, please!" "OK,that'll be $5.00!" Mysti dug in her purse. She took out all the money in it. "Aww,I only have $4.95!" she said in dissapointment. But then she saw a nickel on the ground. "It's my lucky day!" she said, and picked up the nickel. She bought the seal and left.

(Sorry..V_V)

Shadow dug through his bag. He pulled out a plastic bag and a Pokeball.

"Okay, Magma, come on out." Shadow cried.

From the bright light of the Pokeball, the form of Magmortar showed.

He ducked into a dressing room. He came out with a brown feodra, brown trenchcoat, and brown dress pants.
