• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

MINECRAFT

How big is the file size for Minecraft, and can I expect to download it and play without getting screwed in terms of fees?

Yes the filesize is quite miniscule (takes all of a second to download) and you can play offline just fine! The updates are nothing gigantic either ~
However if you want to play multiplayer then it eats through gigabytes like delicious chocolate cake. nom nom nom
If you had a particularly good month, only played for a little while, and put your view distance on tiny you could manage it though.

Give me that skin right now.
Which one? (;
(send me a PM, I have both of them~ or maybe I should just upload them to skindex)

Found my first dungeon. It's full of spiders and I am scared :(

Torches stop mob spawners, right?

If you completely surround them, yes.
It might work if you just make the room too bright for mobs to spawn anyway but as far as I'm aware you need to surround it.

I've saved up the money to buy it, but I want to know if I should. I've heard good things and like the look of it, but I'm still not 100% convinced I want to buy it. Is it worth the money or not, I'd like to know.

Also, check this out

I found lots of clay yesterday but then I died and it disappeared before I could pick it up again :(

man i don't get why everyone thinks clay is so rare, i've got 2 x64s of brick blocks

then again, my world is a big archipelago

Two stacks of clay is not a lot.
With cobblestone, that's all but naught.
Two stacks can be spent very quickly.
Clay's rare enough to make bricks tricky.

In other news, it made me feel awful
when I found a project impossible:
The sky's too low to build to scale
A cathedral that does not fail.
I long to build Firenze's Duomo,
But until the sky's raised, it's a no-go.

Late to the party but fuck yes minecraft.

In years to come, you can claim hipster credit because "you played it in alpha"

Also after beta I found TONS more clay than I used to.

Hey, could somebody tell me how to use TNT to launch a minecart without blowing it to shit? I have had problems with that.

This thread needs more Fuschia City.

1
Taking the coastal route into town, since cycling road must be closed.

2
Didn't there used to be a house or two there? Maybe Bill bought his family a mansion and they all moved there and sold their old house for the raw materials.

But there's a button in the Pokémon Center that makes it go "doo doo dodoo doo~" isn't that AWESOME?! Also there's lots of CAKE in there.

3
The safari warden's house. He seems to be out of town so I moved in, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I even mined quite a lot of gold so if he loses his teeth again I could craft some more for him!

4
Climbed onto the roof to get a better view of town. I've no idea where everyone is :(
Maybe there was an earthquake and they ran off with Bill's family's house. That would explain the mountains in the background that I swear weren't there before...

5
Not even a Volorb! Maybe it evolved into a creeper and blew up.

6
Have you seen Lapras anywhere Mr. Chicken? Also leave those roses alone, they aren't for eating.

7
Maybe the gym leader's around here somewhere. I just have to work my way through this damn maze >:C

8
Nope, nobody here. WHERE IS EVERYONE?
