Misreadings and stuff

'Puppy' as "Derpy"

EDIT: At school, I was looking at a book. I read a line about Greek mythology and saw the word "nya" in there. That resulted in a double-take.

My brother misheard "roses" as "Rhosyn." I was talking about mutant roses that were enemies in a Scooby Doo-based game, so he only thought it was weird to fight Rhosyn in Crystal Cove.
 
"African elephants" as "Ancient elephants."

And my brother kept calling some guy on Youtube Diseased Crab, but I recently found out that it was actually Deceased Crab.

Is that a misreading? Anyways I keep reading "So many cosplays" as "So many corn". So apparently misreading can cause bad grammar.
 
So, my brother has started reading Homestuck and sometimes gives me detailed information on something I forgot...

Him: "Take legendary nap." Do you know who is supposed to do this?
Me: Ehh... This is weird... Equius?
Him: No.
Me: I really can't think of anyone... Wait, you mean "nap" with an E! ...John!

And I had to explain to him that I thought there was Nepeta involved in this.
