• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

[OOC & Sign-Ups]Darkness Rising

(there, I finished my sign-up)

Name: Sabertooth
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Species: Seviper

Appearance: Sabertooth is quite large, about 15 feet long, and has been growing all his life. His body is a somewhat dull patchwork of red, yellow, purple, and black, in a unique pattern resembling a honeycomb. His fangs and tail blade are both also correspondingly large, and he keeps them both sharp. His venom is rather potent, and tends to paralyze his victim's muscles, and numb its senses, inside and out, to the point where its heart just can't move, and it passes out.

Personality: Sabertooth is very calm and laid-back.. most of the time. In the daytime, he prefers just relaxing the day away, atop a mossy rock or something, letting his cold-blooded body soak in the sunlight to keep warm. He's more active during the night then, when he goes out to hunt for prey. He has a simple philosophy to life. Anything smaller than him that moves is prey, but has a chance to prove otherwise. Likewise, anything bigger should be respected and avoided, but also has a chance to prove otherwise. Needless to say, he has very few friends, but those he does have, he trusts deeply and would defend with his life if needed.

Although he's usually relaxed, if he's provoked enough, he'll lash out, biting at the enemy to release some of his venom.

History: Earlier in life, he was wrapped up in the rivalry between his kind and the warriors of light, the Zangeese. When he was very young, he watched his own mother being slaughtered mercilessly by one of the vicious mammals, a male named Sickleclaw, and fled for his life, hiding until the danger passed. He began to fight the Zangeese nearly every day, killing any of them he came across, mostly young children. He yearned to find the one Zangoose that had killed his mother, to exact his revenge. But once he finally had that opportunity, he realized he had met his match. Sabertooth was 15 years old and about 10 feet long, an impressive specimen that had grown out of survival, when he ran into the Zangoose, but even though Sickleclaw was now older, he remained incredibly skilled, and mercilessly beat down on Sabertooth. The Seviper was struck down to within an inch of his life, and left for dead. But that was when he met her... A young, female Zangoose named Aeria, about the same age as he was. She had the perfect opportunity to finish the ailing serpent off, yet, she instead began to tend to his wounds, feeding him a couple sitrus berries. Sabletooth looked up at her weakly and almost begged her to kill him. When she refused, he asked why, and she responded, "My father's brought up in the old school. He only sees you as vicious monsters, to be killed. But I believe that a little kindness can go a long way toward easing the tensions. It has to start somewhere. The was between light and darkness ended eons ago, and the bloodshed needs to stop." This went a long way toward mellowing the serpent. For the next couple weeks, Aeria hid Sabertooth from her father and helped his wounds to heal, and in the process, learned more about the legends of Arceus and Giratina. Two months later, a child was born, a female, purple-furred Zangoose they named Dusk. However, when Sickleclaw discovered the odd union, including his own daughter, a final showdown was inevitable. Aeria pleaded with her father not to kill the child and Sabertooth, but he refused to even listen. Sabertooth stood between him and the child, laid across the ground with his head and tail raised threateningly. The two began to spar once again, and once again the Zangoose quickly got the upper hand. But before Sickleclaw could make a finishing blow, Aeria jumped in front and took it instead, being slashed across the ground and landing on her back, her chest gashed open. Sickleclaw was surprised and devastated... but his hesitation then gave Sabertooth an opening... the Seviper suddenly plunged his tail directly into the heart of the male Zangoose. Sickleclaw staggered forward, falling right in front of his daughter, the two breathing their last breath together. Sabertooth had won the battle and avenged his mother, finally... but in the process, had lost the love of his life and the only Zangoose who had ever shown him kindness. Over the next years, he dedicated himself to raising Dusk the way Aeria would have wanted him to, protecting her and trying to shield her from the struggle between the two races that were in her blood, but also trying to make sure she became strong enough to defend herself. "Never afflict the first blow, but always the last..." Eventually, she became old enough to go out on her own, and Sabertooth became alone once again. He sought solitude, trying to keep his distance from the ongoing conflict, and has lived by his own ever since. Even now, though, he knows his daughter is out there somewhere though, and would like one day to meet her again and see what kind of woman she had grown into.

Other: If anyone would be interested in playing Dusk, that would be cool... She'd be 16 or 17 by now.

Alrighty then, I'm finally done with my form.

Name: Attis
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Weavile

Appearance: Attis stands out a bit as a Weavile, as while he looks like perfectly fine in shape, the red parts of his fur are now a rather dark shade of yellowo, and so are his eyes. The gem in his forhead is also a bright, silvery colour. And his "collar" fur is also signifantly furrier and bigger, so much he can hide the lower part of his face in by slightly looking down, which he usually does.

Personality: Personality is another part where Attis does things differently. He's gloomy and quiet, rather then what's significantly more common in a Weavile. He's proud, but will take the blame for things he's accused for, even if he didn't do them. He do at times seem to be in deep thoughts, and do most of the time hold his arms in a crossed position, grabbing his arms like he's freezing.
Most who know him would agree that Attis is rather hard to define.

History: Attis had two somewhat younger siblings, that often caused trouble, and always got Attis blamed for it. Sometimes he took the blame by himself, while at other times they accused him of their mischief. This did at times end with Attis get hurt physically, but he always seemed to be able to shrug it off and go on with life. He did become infamous in the pack, thought, and eventually was forced to leave when he was old enough.

Other: Those who know where the name Attis originates are cool.

HAH FINALLY

Name: Shari
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species: Sneasel

Appearance: Shari is a bipedal Pokemon standing about 2'6'' feet tall, shorter than the average 2'11'' of her species. She is covered by dark blue fur and is rather skinny, though most of her mass is muscle. Two oddly bright, vibrant red feathers form a kind of ear, instead of the typical one, and another three form her tail. Her ear-feathers are oddly longer than a female's but shorter than the typical male's, so her gender is often confused from afar. Closer, Shari looks more feminine, with pronounced eyelashes. There are two yellow gems on her, one on her forehead and one on her chest, both rather dull. Her claws are sharp, and are the only part of her not covered with fur, instead being made from a bone-like substance.

Personality: Shari is a juggernaut. Her main goal is to evolve, and so, is focused on training herself, and only on that. She's rather sharp around people, and is especially touchy on the subject of evolution. Shari's learned to not trust anyone, and is hard to befriend. To the few she won't begin to plot against right away, she can be pretty loud and knows how to have a good time.

History: For the life of her, Shari can't find a Razor Claw, and so, can't evolve. It seems that most of her species have evolved by her age, though Shari is more fierce than any Weavile her age, or likes to think of herself as such. Her mother was a Weavile while her father, a Sneasel, and she left them as soon as she became 15 and had learned to hunt, properly. The second feather that forms her ear was from a near chance at a Razor Claw, when a speedier Sneasel grabbed it and took off with it. Shari watched as he hunted down a few Pokemon and evolved, before ambushing him and attacking him. Leaving him rather injured, she took one of his tail-feathers and began to train, so she would never miss a chance to evolve again.

Other: Need moar killing things?

Sorry about the lateness, everyone! BlazieAura, Chaon, Dragon, Male Gardevoir, and Kali the Flygon are accepted.

Magnemite needs more details. Describe Brennen as if I have never seen a Haunter before. Also, give him more personality. Yes, he is shy, but why? What will he when others approach him? Does he like to fight? For the history section, why was he rejected by his peers? Why does everyone bully him? Try to expand more and fix some typos, and we'll see if you get in.

((But a conflagration would be good! It would block out the moon and make everyone look even spookier.))

Really? But that would add light to the clearing, and possibly power up Cresselia and weaken Dark as a result. How would it block out the moon?

Rain clouds are already doing that, though the rain would make it difficult to light a fire anyway, even after the rain disappears. Everything is still wet, so a really hot fire attack would be needed. Also non-ghosts would be coughing a lot, have eyes and throats stung by the smoke, possibly get tired from carbon monoxide or somesuch, burned by the hot air even if the flames don't touch, and everyone in general would be blinded. Well, if Cresselia continues to glow with safeguard that won't be an issue. But it would behard to manouevre.

((Everyone, Sef is a party pooper.))

Well if it's in-character for your character to make bad decisions like that, then by all means go ahead and make bad decisions. Nobody's stopping you. Well, I mean, nobody out-of-character.

In fact, stuff like this enriches the roleplaying experience in my opinion. ^_^

I really hate it when TCoD won't load for me for no reason. Everyone else posts, but I can't. I was really hoping to actually strangle Cresselia to death (like an anaconda), but I did my part.

And now I have more plans. Eeeeeeevil plans... :D

I might need to tell Crazy Linoone OOC though, because I'll probably get my arse kicked if I do stuff without permission.

I am a little regretful that I didn't choose a decent carnivore, because now I'm missing out on eating all of our enemies. Azurill probably doesn't eat meat at all, too. :(

But we're an army on a mission, now, so food may become an issue. Anyone capable of doing so should fill their bellies now so they don't have to waste time and energy hunting later.

Besides, she'll have the best scars if she magically survives.

:C awww I can't even eat her. Stupid zippermouth. But she can be creepy still. Bwhahaha.

But I think Melly is turning into a psychotic preacher...is this bad D;
