Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.
Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.
Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?
This. People never learn, do they?As if this tragedy weren't disgusting enough in itself, when the news of the explosion first hit, random Muslims and Arabs were apparently plenty harassed or even outright assaulted. Until they found out a Christian Norwegian did it, that is.
I've heard nothing to suggest that it was Muslim fundamentalists. As far as I know, it was just random nutters.Religion needs out.
Then... why write an entire post about how it wasn't?I've heard nothing to suggest that it was Muslim fundamentalists.
Because I was explaining why blaming religion for terrorism in any situation is stupid, regardless of whether it was relevant to this case.Then... why write an entire post about how it wasn't?
Religion steers thousands of people away from a life of crime and poverty, as shown by religious charitable organizations from all major religions. One of Islam's five pillars is charity, and if I remember my RE correctly, it is law in the Arab states to donate 20% of earnings to the poor.I disagree. Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

And religion is not a prerequisite for this. See: Stalinist Russia, Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge, etc.I disagree. Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
