I don't... see why everyone's reporting on this. It doesn't say "the game will only be released in Japan", it says "the game has only been announced for Japan". It's not uncommon for new games to not be announced worldwide as soon as they're announced for their home country. Heck, PL4 'hasn't been announced' in America, and I don't see any internet petitions about that, even though it looks /super rad/ with Layton's Life.

An announcement'll come, don't worry. We've been patient with them for GS5 and PL4 this long, we can hold off for this too. :3

Actually Mother 1 was all set to be released in the West but then they cancelled it at the last minute, and I think the same with Mother 3.
