Pokémon Scarlet Version
~Introduction~
Hi. My name is Lorem Ipsum, and you may know me from other parts of the forums, and indeed, other boards entirely. Earlier this month, Pokémon Scarlet was handed over to me to make by an old friend called Houndoomed, who retired from game-making for personal and family reasons.
Pokémon Scarlet Version is a new fangame based on Nintendo's extremely popular franchise, Pokémon. It includes 149 new Pokémon custom created by our team, a whole new region to explore, a new and mysteriously interesting storyline, new characters and much much more!
As of July 22nd 2008, Version 1.0 of Pokémon Scarlet's Demo was released, and the download can be found here. Note: Game will only work on Windows, unfortunately.

Game Maker: RPG Maker XP
Started in: February 2007
~Basic Plot~
In most of the world, things have been peaceful for quite some time. A rising Pokemon star has been accused of many crimes, his name: Giovanni. You are his neighbor, a 13 year-old boy named Lance*, and have to prove him innocent. In the process, you must seek him out across the land of Koyoto with your cousin Clair**. It turns out that he actually committed those heinous crimes. You must stop his growing organization before Koyoto is in turmoil. Along the way you will develop your skills as a trainer.
* You will be in the past in this game, and you will play the young Lance, from the Elite 4.
** Clair is Lance's cousin and grows up to be Gym Leader of Blackthorn City.
~Storyline~
Today is your 13th birthday. To celebrate, you're getting your very own Pokémon. Your Mum wakes you up, and you visit Prof. Maple to receive your starter Pokémon.
Professor Maple gives you and your younger cousin, Clair, a Starter Pokémon each. She also gives both of you five Pokéballs and your very own Pokédex. You thank her, and then head back home.
Later on at your house, Clair comes barging in, claiming she saw a group of men dressed in black clothes head into Professor Maple's Lab and force her into a black van which then took off.
You start to go to the police station but Clair stops you. She says that since both of them have Pokémon, they should find Professor Maple themselves.
Your mother begins to disagree, but you assure her that you and Clair will be fine, and that your Pokémon will protect the two of you.
And with that, you set out on your journey to find the people who kidnapped Professor Maple and return her to safety.
~Region Map~
The Koyoto Region
This region is located South of Sinnoh. It's a fairly large and sunny region, although some parts are completely covered in snow. A large attraction of the region are the Tri-Islands - three small identical islands, forming a triangle. Many mysteries and strange things are occurring in the region. There is also an ancient tale of a legendary city that had been lost for centuries - under the sea. Is this legend true? Or simply just myth...

Lance
Lance is a headstrong young boy who has an odd affiliation with Pokémon. His favorite type is dragon type, though he has never seen one. It is his dream to become the greatest Pokémon Trainer. He is the male protagonist of the game.
Clair
Although younger than Lance, Clair must still watch over him. She is very mature for her age and loves Pokémon. She wants to become a Gym Leader when she grows up. She is Lance's cousin and the female protagonist of the game.
Professor Maple
A capable Pokémon Professor, Prof. Maple can show her competence in battle as well. She is an aging woman and has been a Pokémon Professor for most of her lifetime. She was kidnapped as part of Giovanni's evil plot.
