The Trainers release their Pokemon, who get into their battle stances, as the trainers issue commands. After the commands have been said, the Pokemon turn back to each other. The battle is begun by a Scyther holding up a flag. Rotom attacked first, releasing a hurricane of leaves that came out of nowhere attacking Hikozaru. The trainer had said to try to withstand the attack, and Hikozaru handled it well.

Hikozaru released her Ember attack, pelting the Rotom. Very few had hit. Rotom had disobeyed its trainer's commands to avoid damage. Rotom, in return, released a Thunder Wave attack, Paralyzing the Hikozaru. Hikozaru attempted a Flame Wheel attack, which had gotten through. "Oh dear God..." Rotom thought. Hikozaru started spinning around madly, Rotom avoiding almost every attempt. Hikozaru eventually hit Rotom, which had caused major damage. Rotom felt a burn pass through him, annoying him madly. Hikozaru was about to ready the next Flame Wheel, but stopped immediately, looking as if it was in pain.

Though almost every part of Rotom's body said to go crazy, Rotom obeyed his command. He stayed still, energy flowing through it's body. Both Pokemon awaited their next commands. The Scyther raised a flag signaling the end of the round

Nothing to note other than the fact that Hikozaru was paralyzed on the second Flame Wheel, and that she was humming "Smooth Criminal" while in battle.

Hope I got this right...

Anyway, I'd like to know how you do the colors. I'm an idiot. The lack of batle text is because I'm too uncreative to use more than three moves. I will change if needed.

ROUND PI

Completely infuriated with Yin, Stairmaster is ready for Yin to get what she deserves. First, however, his trainer has requested a Substitute. He takes a deep breath, letting a portion of his health and life force flow out of his body. He mentally shapes the mass of glowing matter into a passable imitation of himself before letting it solidify. The Substitute snorts and paws the ground briefly before going to stand alongside Stairmaster, waiting until it is needed.

Yin grins. Her abilities are in no way impaired, so she struts past Stairmaster, lamenting his lack of artistic ability. She also slips in some cleverly-placed insults which are meant to give Stairmaster’s pride a dent. Already irritated, Stairmaster quickly takes the bait. He’s suddenly overcome with fury at the Absol, wanting nothing more than to repay Yin for the pain she caused him in the previous round.

((Yin loses 2% energy; Stairmaster loses 5% health and is Taunted.))

The two Pokemon eye each other for a moment before Stairmaster, automatically latching onto his only offensive option, begins to charge dark energy. It begins to form a crackling skin over his own, but Yin, knowing that he isn’t quite ready to attack, quickly steps in. She bounds over to Stairmaster and makes to deliver a solid blow to his side.

The Substitute, though only moments ago on Stairmaster’s opposite side, somehow gets in between the two fighters. Yin doesn’t have the opportunity to ponder its methods before she crashes into it. She is extremely put out, but doesn’t envy the Substitute; it stands tall for a moment before crumbling, the dust of its remains all that prove its existence.

Stairmaster takes the opportunity to unleash his completed attack. Charging at Yin, he meets no resistance as he slams into her and sends her skidding a few feet across the stone on her side. He doesn’t feel that he got as much satisfaction out of the action as he should have, but the simple fact that he has inflicted damage pleases him.

((Yin loses 6% Energy and 4% Health (3% from Payback + 1% due to stat reduction); Stairmaster loses 4% Energy and his Substitute is broken (11% damage).))

Yin, getting back to all fours, watches carefully as Stairmaster begins to draw strength from inside himself. When she decides that he’s completely immersed in is task, she darts forward and lands a hard blow to the Tauros’ head using her tail. Stairmaster frantically tries to hold on to his collected energy, almost successful, but it ends up escaping him and dissipating.

Stairmaster angrily snorts at Yin, upset with the rather anticlimatic ending. He cringes as the poison in his veins deals a sudden burst of pain. Although it is brief, Yin notices is a lets out a giggle, maddening Stairmaster further.

((Yin loses 6% Energy; Stairmaster loses 13% Health. (11% from Sucker Punch + 2% Toxic))

ROUND ? START

Stairmaster stared at his opponent with an incredible feeling of hatred. He was not happy with how this match was turning out. Either way, he was ready to stab his opponent to the death... wait. Substitute? That didn’t involve beating the crap out of an Absol! Stairmaster snorted loudly, causing his life energy to leak out of his nose. The brown gas solidified to create a small doll that resembled a Rhydon. [10h,8e] Yin, on the other hand, was feeling rather smug. Noticing that the decoy was a bit deformed, she began to mock the Tauros’s Subcrafting skills. Stairmaster began fuming, to her delight. [2e]

Stairmaster prepared to attack the annoying Absol, charging up a powerful, dark-typed headbutt. Yin saw his chance and lunged for the charging Pokemon at a blinding speed. Before he could do that, though, the Rhydon doll ran over to protect its creator from the cheap shot. The quick, darkness-fueled slash sliced the Substitute in half. [12h,7e] Meanwhile, the angry Tauros saw an opportunity to slam into his archnemesis. With an enraged roar, he charged and headbutted his opponent. Fueled by both his rage and dark-type energy, the move did quite a bit of damage. However, thanks to her Dark genes, Yin was able to resist the otherwise powerful move. [6h,5e]

The Tauros began charging up for another headbutt, but this time it was fueled by pure power. Yin saw her chance and sliced Stairmaster’s skin. [12h,7e] Angered by the foe’s dirty tactics, Stairmaster ran at a lightning speed towards his opponent. Yin had predicted that he would do this, so she effortlessly jumped over the stampeding Tauros. [14e] Stairmaster stopped upon reaching the edge of the block, turning around. When he saw the Absol in front of him unharmed, he angrily stomped the ground. He had calmed down, but he still was pissed about his bad luck. The Disaster Pokemon, indeed...

Stairmaster felt the poison in his body worsening. He closed his eyes as the toxic liquid took its toll. [2h]

Stairmaster’s footsteps can be seen as a result of the power of the Giga Impact.

GENERAL NOTES:
No size was given for the Substitute, so I made it a small one (10%).
Payback hit with a base power of 100. While technically it should be only 50, since he wasn’t hit, a) his opponent made a cheap shot, and b) he was Taunted, and thus super-pissed off. Those two factors would probably make him want revenge, thus giving the move 100 base power.
Giga Impact missed on the third action. Sorry, Stairmaster.
Get Innocuous posts commands, followed by Finch. I would be reffing if this was a real match.

You have a lot of grammar errors in your description; the description itself isn't too bad, but it looks quite sloppy.

Substitutes always take the full force of an attack and protect their creator from all of it, no matter how much health they have--thus a 1% substitute could in theory block a giga impact and leave its creator unscathed. The only exception are multi-hit moves like fury attack, of which sucker punch is not one.

Giga impact does not require a recharge action in ASB. In your ending stats, you should make note of how much longer Stairmaster will remain taunted.

If anger point was activated by the sucker punch, Yin should've taken more damage than 7% from payback... not only is the attack's power doubled because of the damage taken from sucker punch, but Stairmaster would at that point have +6 attack, and Yin already had reduced defense. That means you're looking at around 17% damage with no other factors involved, and even if you choose to outright cut the pain in half for type resistance, it's still more than 7%. Likewise, I'd have expected more than 20% damage out of giga impact (STAB and all), although it probably wouldn't take as much as 20% energy if a double-power payback only cost 5%.

Your math in the final stats is... very wrong. 91% - 27% is nowhere near 47%. Similarly, Stairmaster made a 15% substitute and yet somehow managed to lose less than 15% health. Energy is correct to your numbers, though.

There are many problems with this. In general, try reading over your reffings carefully after writing them; there are a lot of issues on this that are just sloppiness (spelling errors, math errors). Also, you don't seem to be aware of some of the conventions for attacks in ASB; there's really nothing you can do there but try to examine some instances where certain attacks have been used and see how they're officially supposed to work. Not Approved

Blastoise

Very nice on the battle description. There are a few minor phrasing issues, typos, and so on, but on the whole it's a nice read. The calculations you put in the body of the reffing don't agree with Yin's energy total in the end-of-round summary, but I'm guessing that's just a subtraction mistake... the calculations themselves look fine. Aside from that little mistake, great work. Approved

Shadow Slice

This is not SPPf/UPN/BMG. Please read the first post and/or notice what the people around you are doing. As for your question about color, though: if you meant font color, the BBCode reference should help.

Kam

Description is fine.

Substitute takes half as much energy to use as the size of the finished substitute. So, Stairmaster shouldn't have used 8 energy to make a 10% sub. Meanwhile, 14% energy is way too much energy off for a giga impact. In general, your energy costs for offensive attacks seem a little high; if an attack only does one or two percent more damage than it costs by default, then you tend to run into energy KO's becoming much more common, perhaps even as common as HP KO's, because each attack then hits the user almost as hard in energy as it hits their opponent for HP and they have to draw out of the same resource to use non-offensive attacks. Additionally, it looks as though you might be using straight one half/double damage for attacks based on type weaknesses or resistances; I'd prefer that you didn't, as that allows for some really spectacular damage totals (around 20% for a thunderbolt against something only once weak to the attack). And are you making STAB a straight 1.5 boost, too? 12% isn't out of the realm of possibility for that attack when used by an absol, but it looks suspiciously like 8 x 1.5.

Stairmaster's badly poisoned, actually, not just poisoned. Generally you want to distinguish between the two to remind yourself and the battlers that the damage from it will grow to much more than regular poison.

Your damage and energy is really the only sketchy thing, energy especially. Work that out and you should be fine. Not Approved

BlazieAura

Great description. The only issue in your execution of the attacks is the "disruption" effect of sucker punch. You played it more or less like a flinch, with Stairmaster completely unable to attack after it struck. However, sucker punch isn't naturally a flinch-causing attack, and you gave it a higher chance of success than any non-serene-graced flinch-causing attack that does exist. That's a bit much; if you're going to completely prevent the opponent from attacking, rather than just causing them to do reduced damage or have an increased chance of missing, you would want to use a much smaller effect chance than that. Personally, I usually wouldn't have sucker punch be able to disrupt an opponent's attack unless the pokémon's trainer indicated that that, specifically, was the intent with the use of the attack, just like pokémon using quick attack usually don't evade the opponent's attack with it unless the trainer specified that that was how it ought to be used.

I was going to give you the pass on health and energy, assuming "Stairmaster loses 5% health" after the first action was a typo for "energy" and you had just not mentioned the implicit 10% health drop for the substitute. Adding up your ending stats, though, I realized that you meant energy, which means that you did substitute wrong entirely: a 10% substitute costs 10% health to make, in addition to 5% energy.

There's nothing wrong with your description; it looks like it's just some of the more tricky aspects of ASB attacks that are tripping you up. It might help to read through a few reffings to get an idea of how various attacks are done. If you hadn't had the substitute problem, I would have given you a pass, but it's a fairly serious mistake. Not Approved

He squinted his eyes to see what the ant-like Pokémon on the other side of the darkened arena was doing. Ossus began to run as fast as he could toward him, which wasn't very fast. He then began to vomit a burning purple liquid all over Ruchii. It seeped into Ruchii's skin, and he began to shudder. Trying to think quickly, Ruchii figured out that he had to use Iron tail. By the time he figured this out, Ossus was already retreating, albeit very slowly. The small mouse chased him down, hardened his own tail, and smacked him across the body with his newly hardened tail. He then started to dance somewhat erraticly, but at the same time with some sequence. Suddenly, rain clouds began to gather inside the building, and started to let their contents spill. Many of the abandoned machines began to short-circuit due to the rain. Ossus looked on, not knowing how the rainclouds got inside. He then stood up on two feet, then came down as hard as he could. The whole earth, and the building, began to shake violently, causing Ruchii to fall down on the ground with pain. The clouds hovered ominously over the weakened battle field.

Round Begin

Ossus is the first to move with Protect. Light reflects off a sealed, transperent sphere around him, protecting him from any and all harm that comes his way. However, there doesn't seem to be anything to protect from just yet, as Ruichii sits down happily and calms himself. It's hard to chill with that much anger coursing through such a tiny little body, but the pichu manages to recover 5% energy. Ossus watches patiently for a while as his protect fades away.

{Ossus: -4% energy; Ruichii: +5% energy}

Sensing that he's chilled enough, Ruichii sets up for the next move - he pauses, concentrating as his tail stiffens and glows, eventually forming a hard, metallic sheen. He leaps across to Ossus and strikes him on the face with his stub of a tail. Ossus takes it, all the while preparing foul toxins in his mouth. Just as Ruichii strikes, the trapinch releases a torrent of foul, purple liquid that sinks into Ruichii's fur. He squeals in disgust, and begins to feel the posion enter his system.

{Ossus: -13% health, -6% energy; Ruichii: -7% energy}

Panting slightly, Ruichii recalls his commands and looks to the sky. Focusing all his energies, he starts to twist and skip, performing the best dance he can with his stubby little limbs. Hopping and skipping, his efforts are rewarded by a clap of thunder. Rain sweeps the area... outside the laboratory.
Having waited long enough, Ossus gladly performs his next command by rearing up on his back legs and thumping the ground as hard as he can with his forelegs, calling to any seismic activity below the surface. The faded, tiled floor of the laboratory sways and cracks obediently, ceramic tiles shattering. Ruichii's little body is thrown around the floor as the ground sways beneath him. Eventually the earthquake comes to a rest, leaving Ruichii panting on the ground, bruised and tired. He wails as he feels poison course through his veins. Ossus grins happily.

Round Whatever number would be here if it wasn't a mock

The round starts with Ossus, smirking confidently to himself, starting to focus defensive energy from all around himself, quickly forming a translucent green barrier around himself to repel any attacks that the Pichu may send his direction. Ruichii thinks about his orders for a second, before remembering what he has to do in the current situation. He sits down on the floor, slightly displeased that he doesn't get to attack again, and falls into a gentle sleep-like trance to recover some of his energy.

[Ruichii -0H, +12E] [Ossus -0H, -4E]

Ruichii breaks out of his trance, thinking of his orders again. He runs up to Ossus, his tiny little tail starting to glow white, glinting with traces of metal, jumps up, and strikes Ossus on the back of his head. Ossus, not to miss an opportunity, waits until the little pipsqueak sliudes back down, and fires masses of horriple, smelly toxic goop at Ruichii. The purple goop covers Ruichii, leaking into his bloodstream, poisoning him badly.

[Ruichii -0H, -6E] [Ossus -8H, -4E]

Ruichii, suffering badly from the Toxic, starts to dance intricately. Twirl, crouch, spin, jump, twirl, lift up arms! Nothing happens, so Ruichii tries putting down his arms. Nothing happens inside still, but listening carefully the battlers could hear the pitter-patter of raindops on the rooftop. A few leaks came in through the roof, but not that much nonetheless. Ossus quietly laughs at the feeble attempt while Ruichii looks back at her master. Rain dance? In a building? What were you thinking? Ossus regains his composure, and starts to jump up and down on the factory floor. Shock waves spread across the floor, shaking the machinery and slamming Ruichii into the floor repeatedly .

Energy: 86%
Status: Shaken up by the earthquake and covered in purple goop. Angrily fuming. Badly Poisoned [2% this round, 3% next round.]

Arena Notes:
-Some parts of the machinery have been flung off and scattered across the floor. Loose tiles have been shaken up.
-It is raining outside and leaking through the roof (4 more actions)

Ref Notes:
-Ruichii gained a bit more energy than he normally would from chill because he didn't have to worry about getting attacked.
-Rain dance didn't work fully because we're in a building, but a few leaks came in due to the abandoned nature of the factory.
-Opaltiger attacks first next round.
-Pokemongirl attacks second.
-I would ref but this is a mock.
