(Yes, I'm perfectly aware that there's a topic like this already just a few topics below mine, but my teacher wants us to do the survey ourselves, almost everybody gave multiple answers in that thread, and our survey is allowed to have a maximum of five choices, anyways. Sorry? I'll immediately delete this thread when I've gotten the 35 responses I need.)

So we're doing a mini-project in math class at my school where we have to survey 35 people on something and make a circle graph showing the results. I chose to ask people what their favorite video game is, but since I have no life or friends whatsoever I'm turning to you guys! Just choose your favorite video game from the options below. (Only one, please.) The project's due on the 27th, so yeah, please post before then.

Hmm... I suggest adding more games to this, unless you plan on adding them in the "other? category.

what kind of poll is this.

most people have never heard of SMRPG, Mother 3 doesn't even have an official western release and kirby super star ultra isn't exactly the War and Peace of video games.

out of that list, the only game i've even played was OoT, and i got bored of it after twenty minutes. so i'm going to go for "other" and point you to Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken for my favourite game in existence. it's the only game that i've replayed more than four times, and i doubt this current playthrough will be my last. it's got wonderful characters, a perfect gameplay system, a good soundtrack and a story that is at worst endearingly cliche.

I'mma go with Last Scenario, which is probably hugely unhelpful considering how obscure it is, but oh well. Best RPG I've ever played, except perhaps the follow-up, Exit Fate, which I'm in the middle of.

I thought most people on the internet knew about SMRPG. And if they don't, they should, with it being on VC and everyone wanting Geno in Brawl and all. Most people on here play or have played Mother 3(with a very sad exception of myself), and SS(U)...well, you got me there.

This is hard....SSU isn't exactly my most favorite game in the world, but I don't want to choose other for some reason...

Ah, put me as other anyways. As much as I love SSU, I have played many games that are better than it.

well, i've barely ever heard of SMRPG. and i've never heard of this fuss about Geno. so yeah.

also, Mother 3 is still quite popular on the internet, but it's not what i'd call a major mainstream game in the west like, say, OoT or Half-Life or whatever.

the issue here is that for the op's survey to have any meaning, he really should choose some more popular, well-known games. as it stands, he's got a few votes for Mother, two for OoT and an overwhelming majority of "other" votes. since the point of the exercise was to learn how to produce a graph, it won't be very useful if his graph is just one giant block of colour and two slivers of whatever-else.
 
I don't get this. Of all the games in the world, just how many people are genuinely going to have one of those four you listed as their favourite?

I've never heard of any of those games on that list except mother 3, I know what mario and kirby are but not those games in specific :V
