D/P/Pt Small Platinum changes (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

Ooh, I have one:

In the Pick a Peck of Flowers...er, flower shop, it costs you less berries to get an accessory.

I got a Red Flower for 1 Cheri berry. :)

Eterna Pokemon statue doesn't have a caption plate, but if you go into the house just south of it a boy will tell you the text from both Diamond and Pearl.

The exp. bar is only 1 pixel and doesn't have lines on it.

You can get certain pokemon earlier, like Togepi.

Various music revamps! Don't ask me why I care so much about the music...

In Pastoria city there's a little stand-up of a Croagunk with a hole for its face that you can put your head in :D!

Oh, oh! It's rare, but sometimes when you do this, a little Croagunk will run through the town and into the Great Marsh. Somewhat like the ghosts in the Old Chateau that appear if you're lucky.

You can now get the Pokemon breeding match app if you catch five Pokemon in the Great Marsh for a girl at the entrance.

Surprised nobody mentioned this:

Remember the kid who asks to see the three forms of Burmy in exchange for a Macho Brace? Well, now he wants to see a male and female Combee instead

And later, you can see the full text of both of them, with the gaps filled in, at the Team Galactic base. Not sure if that was in D/P or not, but I sure didn't remember it being there, so I figure it deserves a mention.

I never went into that house in Platinum once.

It actually mentions Cyrus' age, I think.
B-but... he looks too old to be 27...

Please note, I only barely saw this but I'm sure I definitely saw something along the lines of 27 years old in the text. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. >>

Hypnosis' accuracy is back at 60!

Also, it should be noted that Burmy, no matter what cloak, is pure Bug type. So, the type chart wasn't changed.

Yeah, Looker mentions that Cyrus is "only 27 years old" during Cyrus's big speech to the Grunts.

I would've guessed that he was more like 40 years old, based on the way he's drawn in the intro scene (he has a lot more lines on his face than you'd expect an anime-style twenty-something to have...) and the fact that only the really old people in Sunyshore actually remember him... maybe he's suffering from the whole "excessive stress makes you seem to age faster" thing.

Professor Rowan's age is mentioned, too--he's exactly 60 years old.

Also, this isn't a change, but I found something interesting. You CAN make a steel type poisoned. Evolve a non-steel type into a steel type while it's poisoned. It makes the steel type poisoned. I wonder if that will work for others (paralysis-ground type, poison-poison type, burn-fire type, frozen-ice type)?
Steel-types were never immune to being poisoned to begin with. :/ Being immune to moves of a type does not at all equal being immune to possible status conditions associated with that type. You have always been able to poison a Steel-type with Beedrill's Bug-type Twineedle attack and the Poison Point ability. Same with Ground-types and attacks like Stun Spore, Body Slam, Glare, etc. and the Static ability.

So a poisoned Pokémon remaining poisoned after evolving into a Steel-type is really not to be taken as evidence that a Fire Pokémon will remain burned, an Ice Pokémon frozen or a Poison Pokémon poisoned.

Trainers have three frames of animation.

This shall forever be epic :D

That was true in the 2nd and 3rd-gen games, but it seems like they changed it in D/P. I tested it out in my Diamond version with the Steelixes in Snowpoint Temple a while back; my Roserade has Poison Point and the Steelixes kept using direct-contact moves (mostly Crunch and Double-Edge, if I remember right.) But even after I had gone through a dozen Steelixes, none of them ever got poisoned.

The chance of getting poisoned from Poison Point seems to be pretty high (maybe 25%?), so if it was still possible to poison Steel-types, I figure at least one of them would've been affected by it.

Of course, I guess they could've changed it back in Platinum (they did with Hypnosis's accuracy, after all.)

Is moving while in the middle of watering a plant to another plant a change? My Diamond's busted.

Yes, actually. You could move between plants in D/P. Also, I am going to try burning a fire type/freezing an ice type using the evolving method. I'll use Eevee's evolutions Glaceon and Flareon. Now to find a Fire stone. [Goes off Underground]

I thought you could do this with Synchronize?

The victory road entrance hole is now bigger.
I don't know if the exit is also bigger, though.

EDIT: It is, but not as big as the entrance.
Also, the interior of the Pokemon league entrance before the elite four is also remodeled
