• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Spirits return...

Derish* stood up as regained his seneses. He was unharmed and supriseingly unshaky. He shook his head as if to shake water off his coat. "My name's Danish- I mean Derish. Sorry I'm a little disoriented.

Halan sighs, shaking his head sadly.

"Well....I guess you won't remember me. Last I saw you, you were a pup"

He places his paws on his hips and looks at the group that Xhan gathered, his gaze resting on a Pikachu.

The mouse's aura....

"You're aura is strange for your kind..."

He then glances at the Houndour, a small smile on his face.

"Well..you did run into a cave wall. It's to be expected..."

((Black Yoshi: I'm a tad confused. Wasn't Halan Xhan's teacher when he was young?))

((@Moony-Yes, but I want to be difficult.:3))
---
"Well, that explains a lot. I hardly remeber anything from five years or longer back. I've got plenty of memories to take up my head from the last THREE years... But I still would feel PRE-TTY awkward giving you a hug."

"Yes, my aura is different..." Erican sighed. "...But that's because I am not a normal Pikachu."

((Time to bring Masquerade back in!))

Masquerade found a cave. "I sense Erican is near..." and he walked in.

Halan tilts his head, taking a few steps towards Xhan.

"You...can't remember much about the past...?"

He looks over the young Lucario's shoulder, his heart sinking a bit from the news. He shakes his head a bit.

Then he heard the last thing Xhan said. He bites his tongue and looks at his with a small smile.

"Of course...I geuss I was getting a tad too...emotional about seeing you again"

He wouldn't know who I am...who I really am...not yet

He then stretches his arms to his side and looks to the horizon, thinking silently. He then crosses his arms and speaks with his back to Xhan.

"I see you still have that Scarf...tad ratty now, but it seems to still work for you. Pecha dyed black, correct? I remember when you first got it...you'd sleep with it, and at times I'd have to tie you up with it so you would pay attention to what I was teaching you...but I guess you don't remember that either"

"Umm.... Yeah, I... geuss...." Xhan could just barely remember the day he got his scarf. He had those kinds of things, but he couldn't remember it being tied up so he would pay attention to anyone. Feeling awkward, Xhan simply sat down cross-legged, and realized it was almost dusk. "We're going to camp here for the night. Maybe you could join us for the night?... Or longer?"

Halan looks over his shoulder at Xhan, studying the look in Xhan's eyes. He sighs, seeing that he doesn't remember much at all. He begins to wonder why he lost so much, but pushes it aside to think of later.

"Certainly. I'll stay tonight...and help keep a watch. Maybe something will help you remember the past"

Halan then turns to look at Xhan better, then shake his head a bit.

"You look like your father...but you have your Mother's eyes, that's for sure"

"See, I never really understood that stuff. Both my parents had red eyes, and I have red eyes." Xhan stood up, and promptly broke a few branches off a tree nearby. "I've got some questions for you anyway." He told Halan as he set the branches on the ground in a manner fit for a good fire. "Derish, could you light these twigs for me?"

"Your eyes are Red, true, but the very shape and the strong softness of them are your mother's"

Halan walks over to the rock he sat one and hops onto it, watching the sun finally disappear on the horizon.

"Ask away. I'll answer what I can"

"Uh, well...." Xhan got closer to Halan so their conversation could be more private. "So, how do you know about me? I mean, I've forgotten a lot of things since... Th...-a-a-a certain point in my life." Xhan studdered over the word 'a' so he wouldn't say 'the time I was pushed off a cliff and scarred for life.'

Halan sits on the rock and smiles down at him, leaning forward so they can talk quietly. He has a soft smile and a soft look in his eyes.

"I knew you when you were a little Riolu. I was your teacher in that time...lord knows I've tried to teach you how to fight. I've known you your entire young life...basically"

He then reaches forward and takes the end of the scarf in his paw, studying the fabric.

" I've known you for a very long time, Xhan"

Derish aimed at the pile of twigs, He fired an ember at it. The flames imeditaly started and a nice blaze was going. "Mission accomplished."

"Okay, thanks Derish, but lighting a fire isn't a mission." Xhan grinned at the blind Houndour humorously. He turned back to Halan. "Well, if you really were my teacher, then maybe you could teach me more? I noticed that you seem to have an 'Aura Armor'. I have no idea what the deal with that is, or how to make it, but I want to learn!" His face showed excitment and an eagerness to learn. He bounced very slightly in anticipation.

Halan couldn't help but laugh a bit at the bouncing Xhan. Memories of the past flood his mind of the young Riolu doing the same.

~ "Teach me! I want o learn!" ~

~ "Then listen for once to what I say!" ~

~ "But it's Booooooooring" ~

Halan reaches out and pats Xhan on the head and nods, stopping his laughing, but his eyes still look like they are.

"Yes...I think I can teach you how to do that...it's tricky though...and it's something I came up with on my own. It takes alot of Aura control and manipulation"

"It's daytime? Why didn't you say so?" Firebird shouted. She scanned the area for somewhere to roost. A tree, an overhang on the cave...

Perfect. Since Xhan was probably going to set the backpack down sometime soon, she hung nearby, over the rest of the group of Pokémon.

Name: Edward
Species: Persian
Personality: He's a bit... dark, to say the least. He loves to fight, but not as much as he did in his youth. Now that he's less of a hot-headed youth, he can see more clearly and stay out (more or less) of danger. He's caring in his own way, preferring to teach the young by beating the tar out of them in the name of the greater good than coddling.
Biography: Born to a shiny Persian mother and a Delcatty father, he live a very simple life, until his mother died, and his father left him and his younger brothers. He turned to battle as a way of protecting himself. He was separated from his brothers eventually, and devoted himself to the art of battle. During this training time, he met up with an old friend, but the two soon split up again.
Details: covered in scars, and his fur has a slight gold tinge to it. His right arm is made of metal.
Other: you're a fredfredburger. >(

hope I'm not too late~? >3

Derish just sat in his position. For some reason he wasn't really tired. The smell of trees was heavy in his nose. It all seemed so peaceful bet he couldn''t help but feel insecure. He stood up and said "I'm going to go explore a little bit. Anyone want to come."
