Open Streets Run Red

Their music had been playing for a while now. It actually seemed to have drawn the Rhinestone Eyes to their turf.

The tension between Gears and Nevermore was so thick it could be cut with a knife.

Lee eyed Rift, And Rift shared a nod. He was excited now, he'd get to tear something open if this continued. Lee instinctively reached for his sword on his back. But, he remembered he had something sharper.

He reached down to his belt and placed his hand on the pokeball that contained Checkmate, his Bisharp.

"Somehow I'm not surprised the great 'Nevermore' looks like a girl..." Tigress chuckled, "Ain't that right, Iris?" She asked the Volcarona floating around her head. Iris let off a buzz of agreement.

"I mean really, you'd have to be at least a bit girly to have an alias like 'Nevermore'," She rolled her eyes. Iris let off another, sharper buzz that sounded a bit like an add-on to her trainer's insult.

So that's the fabled Gears..., Rico thought.

"What a barbarian...", he then commented out loud.

He turned and sized up the opposing gang members. No matter how many influences flew about them, they didn't exactly look like pushovers. While Rico did not particularly mind a battle, he wasn't the best at them. Having two not fully developed Pokemon did not help at all. At least the whole gang was together. His hand ran across a belt of four Pokeballs.

Collen sighed quietly, to himself and perhaps to his smeargle. His least favorite part of being in a gang and, in fact, the part that most people joined a gang for had rather abruptly arrived, with the Rhinestone Eyes basically dropping out of nowhere and now insulting Nevermore. By calling him both a girl and a number of other things, a few of which Collen didn't particularly enjoy hearing at all. Although he disliked the whole 'fighting' part of the night shift, Collen knew that he cut a vaguely imposing, if short, figure and that he should put that to good use.

And then he had an idea.

Pulling out one of the ping-pong-ball-sized poké balls from his pocket and enlarging it, Collen rapped his knuckles against a bare spot on the newly-painted wall; the heal ball opened with a low flash of pink as his ditto, Squish, appeared with its face as blank as usual. It turned its blank face towards its trainer, a small smile serving only to underline how black its eyes were.

"Squish," Collen muttered in the ditto's not-ear, "Squish, I need you to turn into that guy over there, the one with the huge muscles and the small head. He's the leader of our enemy, alright?"

With a nod, Squish began to metamorphosize, quickly gaining the form of Gears, the Rhinestone eyes leader. It stood there silently, staring at its muse with a blank expression. Again.

Now what is he up to?, ace thought.
He pulled a net ball out of his pocket and released his chatot, swift.
"ok swift use mimic on ditto," ace said. The chatot's eyes flashed yellow and it let out a faint chirp to let ace knew it was done

Upon seeing Gears and his crew suddenly arrive in the ally, Anthony's grinned from underneath his hat. His grin widened as he tension increased between Nevermore and Gears. From Vorser's excited growling, he could tell that the Hydreigon was also feeding off of all this bloodlust. Tryna, meanwhile, was circling up above. At the signal, she would make her strike.

"Ladies, gentlemen, I'm sure that this all can be resolved in a civil matter. Must we resort to this savagery each and every time?" At this question, one of Vorser's heads looked at Anthony quizzically. The other two, meanwhile, kept a close eye on the enemy, and small bits of energy started to gather at their mouths.

"However..."

Anthony raised his arm.

"If there is, I'm sure that Nevermore wouldn't want to hear it. I know that I wouldn't..."

He clenched his raised hand into a fist.

"And I don't think you want to hear it either..."

The Hydreigon head that looked at Anthony turned its attention to the enemy again, and gathered energy along with the other two heads. Vorser knew what was going to happen.

"So let's just skip all this banter and get straight to the excitement, wouldn't you agree, Vorser?"

The Hydreigon roared in glee, and blasted out a Dragon Pulse at the Rhinestones.

Show me again, Rhinestones, what you can do.

((I think it's in the character of a psychopath like Anthony to start the battle. I'll get rid of this post if you disagree, TR))

Attacking already, niw what have we here, ace thought from the shadows, he then flipped down some glasses that had a pokedex built-in.
After it scanned the pokemon the data came up on the screen.
So it is weak to fighting types ace thought, "ok lucario on my call you will attack that pokemon," ace said," but be careful of the flying type." steel bowed his head in agreement.

LeAnna knew what was about to come. The smirk on her face grew into a big smile. "Alright Stone...watch out for that Gallade, he might attack you with attacks like Drain Punch, but hit him hard... And Shadowstar. Go all out. Don't hold back. Fight, to win." This provoked her pokemon alright, even causing Shadowstar to gain a maniac glint in his eye.

The scene must look a wild frenzy to any onlookers who dared to watch from buldings, you never knew who could be watching them. Especially a girl with her hair in a ponytail and a crazy smile on her face. This...this will be fun. Waiting for the signal. The signal that would make it happen. All she needed was a signal from her leader, and the frenzy would begin.

Both Claymore and Zero immediately tensed up when Gears appeared in front of them. Despite what he wanted, it looked like a fight was going to brake loose. Zero quickly looked over at Nevermore, then back to Claymore, who was standing behind him. He could tell that his partner wanted a fight, and he wanted it now. The only time Zero had seen Zero more bloodthirsty was when he fought that Seviper trainer a few years back.

"Claymore, wait for my order," He commanded. The beast growled in reply.

Zero walked over to Nevermore's side and got a closer look at Gears. He then looked towards his leader and gave a smirk.

"I guess you were wrong about the whole 'Neanderthal goth look'," He joked. His eyes weren't joking though. His eyes were staring straight at Gears across from them.

"Iris, at the ready." Tigress commanded. A sharp, almost earsplitting buzz echoed from the Volcarona as she fluttered forward. The bug's eerie blue eyes were set on the Zangoose, Claymore, for some odd reason, her wings shedding coal hot scales underneath her hovering body.

"Be ready to react at the slightest inclination....' Tigress thought, remembering the words from when she had been training Iris as a Larvesta. She had nearly been obliterated by a Gigalith owned by the other trainer, but she had pulled through in the end.

Holden made little motion less a flick of his wrist, giving Josh and Ignacio the signal to appear from where they were. Holden rarely battled outside of a double form, preferring the tag-team advantage his pokemon had developped. Josh looked across his opponents lazily, not actually feeling they were a threat, wheras Ignacio's wrists were blazing intensively, obviously noting the strength of his opponents, namely Nevermore, their leader.

Holden grinned slightly, he enjoyed seeing Ignacio's wrists this bright, it showed that his opponents were as tough as he was, as the only other time he saw Ignacio's wrists as such was when he trained with Ignacio.

"Ready when you are sir." Tussle remarks, quite dryly, complete prepared to fight if necessary. "Oh, and Josh, block that Dragon Pulse with Protect..."

(Last sentence will be removed if the Hydreigon is not allowed to battle)

(Damn, I'm way behind... had no idea this had even started yet.)

Polly, better known as Cub in the gang, had followed the rest of Rhinestone Eyes towards the sound. She already knew what it meant... El Mañana was here. Time to fight.

She reached for her Pokéballs, and threw the Dusk Ball containing Derana, her Sneasel, who started glaring at the rival gang at once. The Sneasel was ready, and so was Cub. "So, uh... Derana.." she said, not really sure who to hit, "attack who you want. Use Blizzard". The Dark/Ice type started glaring at the Zangoose, and let out a chilling, snowy wind from her mouth.

The Blizzard attack collided with Claymore and knocked him into the nearby wall. At first, Zero was shocked at the fact that one of the other gang had actually decided to attack his partner, but then he was ready to fight. Claymore was extremely pissed that some pathetic black creature had hit him with such freezing cold air, and he was ready to return the favor.

"Claymore," Zero commanded. "Close Combat that thing into oblivion."

Claymore's mouth revealed it's fangs and he lift his hands into a fighting position. After release an ear-splitting roar, the mongoose ran forward at blinding speed and started an extremely fast combo of punches and jabs, all aimed at the Sneasel.

This wasn't enough for Zero. Zero was a man of strategy, so he needed some backup for Claymore in case something went wrong. He reached for the Luxury Ball on his belt and prepared a second Pokemon for the fight.

"Euphoria, use Mean Look to make sure the opponent doesn't escape."

The flash came from the poke ball as the ghostly Mismagius emerged from it. Having heard her master's order, she flew downwards behind Claymore and looked for the opportune moment to stare straight into the Sneasel's eyes so Claymore's prey wouldn't escape. Many would have called this move cheating, but Jason Rain only saw it as guaranteeing his win.

"steel your up," ace said to his lucario,"use force palm on zangoose."
Ace knew what he was doing, close combat lowered the users defense and Zangoose was weak to fighting to begin with.
The lucario bolted out of the shadows so fast it appeared as if he had teleported. He got right behind the zangoose and used force palm.

Cub watched as her Sneasel was hit by the Zangoose's many punches, and what's worse... she couldn't even escape now, due to the Mismagius's Mean Look. The Pokémon looked really tired and hurt, and the attack must have done extra damage to her due to double weakness... but she would just have to fight for as long as she could...
"Derana, just... try doing your best now..." she said to the Pokémon to comfort her. "Use Aerial Ace." She had just got the TM for the move, and was eager to try it out. The Sneasel started running towards the Zangoose, and leapt a bit up in the air before slashing down on him.

As things began to heat up around him, Lee released Checkmate for extra help.

"Alright you two. Mainly, I want you to stay on the defensive, making sure to block all attacks that come towards any of us. If you notice something you can reflect, reflect it towards something that's weak to it. If anything tries to attack you up close, use something super effective. If you don't have anything, then protect and try again. Check, I want you to go and defend anyone else who needs help. Rift, I want you to wait for my order, and then go and attack that Hydriegon up close with a Drain Punch. Alright, let's move. Rift, stay close to me until I give the signal."

Lee and Rift walked towards the Hydriegon, while Checkmate went to help those who needed it.

A sly smile appeared on Zero's face. He had his opponent's pokemon right where he wanted it. In his opinion, the Sneasel deserved it for attacking his partner. He had hatched Claymore from an egg back when he was young and grown up with him.Claymore was his first pokemon. The two were inseparable and it was going to stay that way.

Which is why it hurt so much more when the Aerial Ace knocked him to the ground. The Close Combat had left him open, so Claymore had taken more damage than normal from the attack.

"Claymore! Are you okay?" He asked, his face expressing worry for his pokemon.

Claymore shook his head several times, but he stood up without showing much pain at all. Zero adjusted his glassed quickly before giving his next command.

"Euphoria, stay where you are. Make sure the Trainer isn't trying anything funny. Claymore, Iron Tail that pathetic thing."

"GrrrAHHH!!" Claymore roared. His tail started glowing silver as he ran forward. When he got close enough, he brought his tail around full swing and attempted to slam it into the Sneasel.

"Derana, get away!" The Sneasel reacted quickly, and moved out of the way just before the attack. "Good! Now, use Metal Claw!" The Dark/Ice-type ran towards the Zangoose again, her claws glowing somewhat silver and shiny before she tried attacking. "Hmmm, time to send out more, maybe?" Cub thought to herself. "He has sent out another one already, so why shouldn't I?" She grabbed a Luxury Ball, and threw it to the ground. Out came a Quilava. "Hey, Tony, ready to fight?" The Fire-type nodded in agreement, a smirk on his face. "Now, just wait for your turn and I'll tell you when..."

Once LeAnna saw the Bisharp released she told Stone, "Okay, get that Bisharp! Show him what real pain is! Shadowstar you help and make sure he's fine!" The two pokemon nodded and dashed after the Bisharp, Stone aiming a hefty Brick Break at it. She then relased her Beheeyem and Gardevoir.

"Okay, Pepper," she addressed the Beheeyem, "Stay close to me. And you..." She looked around for a good target, only seeing the Gallade as one. "Go get that Gallade's attention with Attract or something, make yourself look good." She smiled, she would cause great chaos for that boy one way or another.
