Open Survivor: Storm Peninsula

The corner of Valkyrie's mouth twitched, and she broke into a grin.
"I'm fine, Murad," she assured him. "I just wonder how well I'll do in water. I could probably swim, if I held my tail up," Valkyrie thought out loud, and smiled even bigger. She turned her attention back to the water, and watched the waves slap against the side of the boat.

Ilycren paced around the boat restlessly. Why did I ever decide to do this? After a moment, he shrugged. Oh, well, I'm sure it will get worse once we reach the islands. That's at least something to appreciate about this ship. He then wandered over to the side of the boat and threw up.

A few minutes later, he could be found huddled up in a ball, moaning softly. I'll be glad to get back onto solid ground--that is, if I ever do.

(Right then.)

The sun finally reared its bright face after days of thunder and rain battered the ship, and the Wailord escorts welcomed it with glee. A sharp peak rose from the seas, and the ripping currents became calm once more.

*We're here, folks! Welcome to the Storm Peninsula!*

"Finally." Cairne thought to himself.

As the passengers and crew began unloading, a big, tanned Lickitung marched towards them with big, open arms and an even bigger tongue. Behind him were Pokemon of every size and shape carrying the teams' toolboxes inside.

"Welcome to the Thtorm Peninthula, everyone! Thorry about the thpittle, I have a bit of a lithp." He announced, the spit bearing down on his visitors like heavy rain.

I hope it's not too late!

Team Hellpath
Name: Star
Species: Dusknoir
Gender: Female
Age/Level: 55
Appearance: Nothing special.
Personality: Star isn't usually judgmental, and doesn't hold grudges. She's rather impatient, however, and sometimes jumps to conclusions too much. Star strongly believes in teamwork and following the rules. When she's in a bad mood, Star can be spiteful.

Wolf looked up, and barked in disgust. She struggled to keep her eyes open, but managed to speak.

"That's alright... a bit..." She shook her head.

"Oh how rude of me, I haven't even introduthed mythelf. I'm Todd, and I will be joining you guyth in your journey. Come on in for the detailth." The Lickitung then ushered everyone into a medium-sized hall with a big, round table. In the middle is what seemed like a model of the island.

"I thought this was gonna be survival of the fittest, not some race from A to B with this guy." Colt whispered to himself as he wiped off a gallon of spit from his feathers.

"Calm down, okay? You'll get your adventure soon enough." Marian answered with a soft, almost motherly tone as they all sat down at the far end of the table, away from the rain of saliva.

Star sighed at the Lickitung. "I'd just like to get to the point." Todd was rather annoying, but he wasn't the worst person in the world.

As a ghost, Star guessed she would have a distinct advantage, being able to float through obstacles, unlike others. Also, she wasn't affected by rain, fire, hail or snow. Wind didn't blow her much, although it did slow her down a bit. This would be fun, she guessed. Let's work together, Team Hellpath.

Keladry sighed inwardly as she saw the lickitung. This is going to be a long day, isn't it? she thought, as she settled into a place around the large table.

"Right, the firtht thallenge will be a thimple rathe. You all have to get to Theafarer'th Haven firtht, and along the way there will be a trial, in the Great Plainth. When your team completeth the trial, you will get an Aid of your thoith at one of the rethting locathionth. Thith can be an ekthra member of the team, an item or even a headthtart. Tho the thoithe will be to either finith firtht, whith will get you another Aid and helpful tipth on the nekth thallenge, or rithk not being firtht and get an Aid." Todd explained, rather messily as he pointed at the scale model where the teams were headed, drowning it with his saliva.

"Thee you in the morning, and good luck. Be here by midday, guyth!"

Both Colt and Cairne had a confused look on their faces, and as the groups stood up and chattered among themselves, the old Blastoise was somewhat annoyed at their guide.

"What the hell was that guy spitting about?" He asked angrily.
Taking a deep breath, Marian explained everything clearly. "Basically, our goal is to get to Seafarers' Haven. Whoever gets there first tomorrow gets an Aid or something from the islanders. Then he spat on me and I lost track."
Colt continued as he pulled out his map. "But there's a trial here in the Great Plains. If we manage to do that successfully, then we get another Aid. But then we lose the headstart we have, but finishing the trial earns a guaranteed bonus. So it's either finish first and head out earlier, or risk lagging but with help when we need it."

"Great. So I'm guessing we go through the Plains?" The young psychic Pokemon asked. Colt's eyes answered back with an eager glare and grinned.
"That's a no, then." The old turtle broke the silence, then waved goodnight to his companions and slowly winced on towards the cabins using his beat up cane.

However annoying the spitfall was, Murad managed to catch everything the vocally challenged Lickitung said. Looking around, he realized not everyone was so fortunate. Their loss., he thought.

He turned to his teammates, "Need I explain anything?"

Valkyrie winced, and wiped spit off herself. Then turning to her teammates, "So, we have to go through the Great Plains? Mmm, let's go, then." She went a few steps ahead, and looked back at the others.

((Postninja'd...))

((I saw an error on the front page. You put a Dusclops's picture, while my character is a Dusknoir.))

Star nodded, becoming transparent as some saliva was hurled towards her. It slammed into the ground behind her. "Got it," she said to herself in her eerie voice. "Seafarer's Haven, isn't that it?

((Oh yaaaaaaaay a third member <3))

Lilith wiped some spit off her face with her arm, resulting in an odd noise like two rocks scraping together.
"Disguisting," she snarled to herself. "That Lickitung should really learn to say it, not rain spray it."
Lucifer gave a growl that sounded like he agreed and glanced at Star. The saliva just passed right through her. "Lucky Star," he said.
Lilith added, "So we're racing to Seafarers' Haven, hmm? That means we should go the traditional route, through the Great Plains."
But what about the Sea of Voices? she silently thought.

Wolf turned and looked at her teammates, an Absol and Lucario.

Nodding, she said. "You all heard that. Seafarer's Haven. I'm not quite sure what to do, but that's why we're a team."

Ilycren, relieved to be back on dry ground, nodded. "Definitely."

He paused for a moment, then turned to Kel. "So do you have any idea what we're supposed to be doing?"

"I say we go as the Murkrow flies," Keladry said. "We don't need an Aid."

She paced around restlessly as her team discussed the task ahead of them. She may have seemed to know exactly what she was doing, but really she was quite worried.

((Speaking of the front page... can you take the picture of the team symbol off my form? I was meaning to redo it anyways, and it's shit.))
