Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Teaser countdown launched on Square Enix website

Mmm... I'd say it's got something to do with Final Fantasy as well; considering the fact that the loading bar is an ATB bar at Limit/Desperation... I'm sure we'd be able to tell more if they gave us more than a silly sketch, but who knows...

I don't know if I want to say it's a Final Fantasy remake though, because if it was, than it wouldn't say NEW GAME as the page title. I don't want to say it's FFXIV either, but who knows...

It'd be completely ridiculous (even for Squeenix) if they were announcing FFXIV already... FFXIII hasn't even come out yet, has it?

FFXIII hasn't come out yet, but FFXIV already has been announced. It's just another game like FFXI was.

Except it's PS3 exclusive, and free to play.

If I remember correctly, they did something like this with another FF game... Where one game wasn't even finished and they announced another. I don't remember for which two games, but I'm sure they did it at least once before. I dunno. Lately, the only thing I pay attention to Squeenix for is to wait for what I know to be impossible; a sequel to Chrono Cross. And Blood of Bahamut, because it looks interesting, and I want to know if it has any connection to Bahamut Lagoon (Awesome game).

What? So am I basically supposed to guess what this is? >.< I don't really care; if it's a FF remake, I'm not interested, but if I might look into it if it's a new series.

lol.

I would hope for a World Ends With You sequel, but after looking at the teaser page, I don't think that'll happen. :/

Hmm... I had no idea someone could outgrow something that isn't quite a fad, and is for all ages. I think you meant you lost interest?

FFXIV isn't going to be PS3 exclusive, it's for the PC as well. Besides, I heard they were finishing up on FFXIII, just doing the voice recording and stuffs. Now, if they were to announce FFXV ...

Yeah, my bad. I missed when they announced it was gonna be on PC as well. Apparently XIV had been in development for quite a while now, but as a different game?

Yes, under Project Rapture iirc.

Other than that, I have no idea what else this could be other then a pretty cool new game. If you like RPG's that is.

Depends on if it's free or not like I keep hearing people say. If it is, I'd be more than happy to make a party with some people here who may get the game when it comes out =D If not, then I'll just have to put some money aside for that ._.

No, I'm no longer under the influence of S-E's bullshit; the past few years have been nothing but hollow, substance-less games coated with impressive aesthetics.

Mmm, I'd still say it's not quite outgrowing it, just not giving a shit anymore. The only reason I still even pay any attention to Squeenix is because they publish tri-Ace games, and because I still have even the smallest sliver of hope for a sequel to Chrono Cross. That and I still enjoy all of their PS1 games, particularly Threads of Fate, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, and Chocobo's Dungeon.

You guys are too tough on their games >.< Square Enix has definitely produced some good stuff in the past couple of years.
