Style: Switch
DQ: Six days and 23 hours and 59 minutes
Damage Cap: 25
Banned Moves: Super effective moves and One-Hit-KOs (Whew this'll be a challenge)
Arena: Snowfield

The snowfield is a big field of snow that is outside somewhere in an abandoned land that no one knows about. It has a pillar on one side with an Abomasnow on it and another pillar on the other side with a Mamoswine on it. It's pretty small, Pokemon that're bigger than Steelix couldn't fit between the pillars. It is big and rectangular and nobody has battled in it for the last three years. It's basically a 32-foot long blizzard, because it's been snowing since 1986, and hasn't stopped at all EVER since then. Ten years ago, an Articuno was spotted above it and was caught by a mystery trainer.

Other: The weather condition is hail. Anybody up to the challenge?

Lars makes a crazy arena!

2 vs 2 single
Style: Switch
DQ: Five days
Damage Cap: 95%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, Perish Song, Destiny Bond, Chilling, Direct Healer limited to 1/pokemon, all status effects(self induced are allowed) but poison and paralyze.
Arena: Cookanion

This wierd place, known as the 'cookanion', is acctualy a gigantic cannion made of rocks and cookies. There are several pillars made of cookies on which pokemon can stay, but they are quite unsteady, and standing on one will cost 1% energy per action they do so. Attack that require use of wieght launched from one of these pillars(like earthquake) will have their power booster by a x1.2 modifier, although they will have a priority level lower by 1 than normal(earthQuake will have -1 priority). Rock types used in this arena will take 1% less damage whenever they will be hit by any kind of attack and will start fighting with a +2 defense modifier, Ground types will start with +2 attack, and dragon types will start with +2 special attack. These modifiers will stack, so a garchomp will get both +2 attack and special attack. If the move earthquake will be used in this arena, the canion will shake like mad, and a 'cookie rain' will fall from the sky. Whenever a cookie falls on someone, they will inflict said victim 10% typeless damage and lower their speed stat by 1 stage. Finally, the move dig will cost 2% less energy, while flying, hovering, or using the move fly will cost 4% more energy per action.

Other: Pokemon start with 250% energy. Water and grass types are also banned. Fully evolved pokemon aren't allowed either. PLEASE DON'T BE ANGRY BILLY

This challenge is for Psymon, by the way.

Damage Cap: 35%
Banned Moves: OHKOs, Rest, 1 instant recovery/pokemon, 5 chills/pokemon
Arena: Pictochat (Based off SSBB)

Pictochat is, and always will be, a strange and unreal dimension where things can appear and disappear at whim. Although the cause of such strange objects and phenomenon appearing in the dimension in unknown, scientists speculate it is the cause of a much larger powers, presumably for communication or for their own personal humour. Usually, however, the arena is completely flat, and is a simple square board in the middle of said dimension.

Arena Effects:
Around the beam is an endless expanse of nothingness, and any pokemon that is thrown off will simply take 3% typeless damage and be transported back on.

At the beginning of every second round, a random number between 1 and 100 will be generated. The arena will change accordingly.

1 – 10: The arena returns to it's normal state, if not in it's normal state already.

11 – 20: Two large fireballs appear, suspended in the air. Touching such fireballs will be the equivalent of a 70 base power STAB-ed Fire move coming from a fully evolved pokemon. If the user is weak to fire, they will also lose their move for that action, if not completed already (Flinch go!)

21 – 30: A Minecart appears on a wide U-shaped track supported by beams. The cart may move fairly slowly, but being made out of ChuckNorris-ium, the cart is incredibly powerful and touching it will cause 8% typeless damage, no questions asked. The toucher is also sent flying, and therefore, loses their move for that action, if they have not yet completed it (Known as flinching in the land of pogeymans).

31 – 40: A rain cloud appears, and all weather effects are changed to rain. Any previous weather effects do not return when the rain passes.

41 – 50: A huge wind picks up, cancelling all actions for that round and dealing the equal of a nonSTAB-ed 20 Base Power Flying move coming from a fully evolved pokemon to all current battlers.

51 - 60: A large brick wall appears in the middle of screen, forming a staircase like shape. Pokemon can climb upon the staircase and execute their attacks as normal. If fired from on the staircase, Ground type attacks do 1% more damage, and Electric type attacks cost 1% less energy. It is impossible to destroy the wall.

61 – 70: A giant Wailord using Water Spout appears in the middle of the arena, but is simply a drawing. Pokemon can climb upon the Wailord. If on the water spout, pokemon whom are weak to water take 4% damage for each action they are upon it. Pokemon with Water Absorb gain half of the health they would normally gain from a water-attack.

71 – 80: A drawing of a human head appears on the right side of the arena, and a human hand, presumably belonging to the same body as the head, appears on the left side. The head is extremely large, approximately 3 charizards high and can be stepped upon. The hand is slightly smaller, about two-thirds the side of the head.

81 – 90: A picture of a boat appears next in the middle of the arena, with a cloud-like base supporting it. There is a flag in the middle that serves no purpose, save decoration. Pokemon onboard the boat are immune the ground attacks (basically they gain levitate), unless the move is executed on the boat.

91 – 100: The arena returns to it's normal state, if not in it's normal state already.

Rawr Challenge!

Format: 2v2 Double
Style: Set
DQ: 1 week
Damage Cap: 37% (Because I can)
Banned/Restricted: Direct Healing, Two turn attacks, Surf, Dive, Waterfall, etc, and OHKOs (chills limited to 3/Pokemon)
Arena Name: The Bottomless Pit
Arena Description: A five meter by five meter pit that is surrounded by a variety of rocky outcroppings. As the name suggests, the pit is bottomless, so any fall is an instant KO. However, the pit seems to exert a spiritual force that prevents anybody from coming within two meters of it. This makes it so a Hariyama couldn't simply drag a Pachirisu to the edge and throw it in (though there is nothing stopping the Hariyama from throwing the Pachirisu from outside the two meters). Surrounding the pit are rock ledges, pillars, and small dips and rises in the ground, a long with many pebbles, and a few boulders. There are four pillars surrounding the pit. In relativity to the pit, each one rests in line with one of the four main cardinal directions. This is where the Pokemon are first sent out. If any Pokemon proceeds down the ledges at a fast pace, there is a 25% chance they will trip and scrape themselves against the rock, causing the Pokemon to take the same amount of damage they would take from a rock-type attack with a power of 40. Rock, Ground, Flying, and Ghost types are immune to this.
Additional Rules: No water-types that can't survive out of water.

Re-accept.

Taking this on.

A brand-new arena idea!

The giant Roulette... Thing
4vs4 Single
DQ:
532800000000000000000000000000 yoctoseconds (comes out to 5 days 4 hours)
Style: Switch under special conditions
Damage Cap: None
Banned Moves: Moves related to the ground, Splash, OHKO's

This is, as the name suggests, a giant roulette... board? maybe? In any case, it is a pretty simple thing; massive, and the bits around the edge where the ball falls into are pools, so water-types can battle. Due to size restrictions, however, Pokémon of more than about 6 metres cannot fit in the pools. Surf and etcetera will be very difficult to dodge for non-hovering-or-flying Pokémon, due to the water coming from all directions. At the first action of the first, fourth, seventh and so on round, the board will begin spinning. This occurrs with maximum priority, so nothing can happen before it besides giving commands. Pokémon that are on the board will of course spin with it; Hovering or Flying Pokémon will not. It is therefore impossible to correctly aim from a Hoverer/Flyer to a non-Hoverer/Flyer or vice versa. The board finishes spinning within two actions, and any non-Hoverers-or-Flyers will be mildly confused out of dizziness. The ball will, in the spinning actions, be moving around the board; if it hits a Pokémon (10% chance) it causes 50 Steel-Type damage. When the spinning ends, the ball will fall into a pool; if it is occupied by a Pokémon (5% chance) then it causes 50 Steel-Type damage. The board is also so hard that no attacks can use it in any way.

Notes:
Switching is permitted once a Pokéon falls below 30% health and then only once per Pokémon, as well as the normal restrictions and rules of switching.
Ground-based moves include but are not limited to (I might have forgotten something!): Ancientpower, Avalanche, Dig, Earth Power, Earthquake, Fissure, Frenzy Plant, Ingrain, Lava Plume, Magma Storm, Magnitude, Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud Sport, Mud-Slap, Muddy Water, Rock Blast, Rock Climb, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Rock Wrecker, Sand Tomb, Sand-Attack, Seed Flare, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, and Toxic Spikes. The referee will not stop a Pokémon from using any of these moves, they will just have no effect.
Also, Arena Trap and Honey Gather cannot take effect due to respective restrictions. All that Pickup will Pick Up is discarded coins. A Pokémon can also spend an action looking for a bit of money to add $3 to the monetary gain at the battle's end. This will stack with Pickup and cannot exceed $12 total. Pickup can also go up to $12 at most.

4v4 triple (I am allowed this, yes?)
DQ: 1209600 C·V/W (comes out to seconds, or 14 days)
Damage Cap: 10%
Banned Moves: OHKO's
Arena: A Really Big Historic Battlefield

Generic. Except bigger. It would take about a round just to get from one end of the field to the other for a jolteon sprinting the whole way. There is a 12m-wide river that winds through the place dividing the two battlers' starting positions, which, for inexplicable reasons, is that width across regardless of location. There are, however, some islands in the river, and there was once a pair of bridges, but one is now just broken beyond repair, leaving a 11m gap, and the other will break under 40kg under earth-gravity.

so yeah

Sorry Negrek. I quoted a post that had a quote in it and thought it would quote both. :sweatdrop:

...Zora wants a rematch? Zora gets a rematch, time to settles this. 8D New competitors, same (different) bar! (With just a few tweaks to mechanics)

1v1 Single
Style: Set
DQ: 7 days
Damage Cap: 50%
Banned moves: Anything goes baby!
Arena: Some DIFFERENT dive in lower Manhattan

Just some indeterminate bar in the city, this place smells heavily of alcohol, BO and piss. (Don't even -try- the bathrooms.) The patrons are at best drunkard bums and better described as imbibed apes, and the liquor they serve will set off radiological alarms. So what kind of battlefield is this?
Well, apparently when two trainers get drunk they find it to be a good idea to get their Pokémon drunk, as well. Noone really knows why, but it's probably in a similar vein to beer goggles. Of course, neither trainer is in much of a state to issue commands, and their Pokémon will soon be in no state to listen.

Upon being chosen each Pokémon is served gratuitous amounts of alcohol and set off on their way to have a go at each other.. if they can stay on their feet. The barkeep is about as apathetic to this, it seems, as to any other bar fight; and trust they're common.
Moves are selected completely random, similar to Metronome, from the Pokémon's available move pool. Any move may be used, included OHKO's, however should they hit they cannot break the damage cap and will deal an instant 50% tops.
Both Pokémon being lit off their arses will have an inflated ego and a boosted pain tolerance; essentially giving them both 150% HP and letting them go longer.
The bar is full of rickety and amusingly destructible objects, as well; and arena damage will become apparent. Apparently, the barkeep doesn't take into consideration supernatural powers. Hopefully soon he will~

Now, bar patrons will probably crowd around and chant a drunken Fight! chant; they may also throw things or get aggressive. Every action there is a 1% chance of a miffed patron trying to start a bar fight with one of the Pokémon, in which case they will lose their action that turn and take 5% untyped damage to knock the sucker out.
Bottles may also find themselves flying at either competitor, and each action there is also a 5% chance of an errant flying object hurling into the ring. Of course, aim is questionable, as is the actual contents of the bottles. There is a 15% chance of is containing more drink that will restore 5% HP to the Pokémon who catches it (Whether with their hand or their face), a 15% chance of it restoring 5% Energy, and a 20% chance of it dealing 5% untyped damage. Finally, at a 50% chance it will miss outright.

And finally, in this state the competitors will be less than capable of holding a steady battle. Every action there is a 5% chance of either Pokémon falling victim to temporary negative effects. There is an equal chance of one of four actions happened:

Falling asleep: The Pokémon will completely nod out, lowering both its defences by 3 stages until awoken and waking up after either 3 actions or after being struck by an offensive move.

Vomiting: The Pokémon will empty its stomach.. all over their opponent's face. This will totally gross their opponent out, and lower their defences by 3 stages for 3 actions.

Falling over: The Pokémon will completely lose its balance and fall right on its arse, causing them to lose that action and be inflicted with mild confusion.

Punchdrunk Swing: The Pokémon will forgo its supernatural powers in favour of slugging their opponent in the face. This will deal 5% untyped damage at 70% accuracy.

I'm drunk, wat's YER excuse?!

Minor difference, I think.

PRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROFILEeeeee..... again.

Suddenly I felt like making this arena.

3vs3 Singles (willing to make it 2vs2)
Style: Set

Banned Moves: OHKOs, moves that require water bodies
Arena: A City Ablaze

The firefighting brigade has officially claimed that the fires were beyond their control. An immediate evacuation was ordered. However, as most citizens hastily packed their belongings, three outsiders insisted to stay upon a balcony, even if the blaze approached them. Two had a fierce resolve to stage a battle; one had qualification to be a referee and a newfound fondness of heat. By the fifth round of the battle, the building upon which the balcony is based will start burning; at this point, if both trainers agree to it, they may choose to make no commands for one round, using it to flee and find a safer place to keep the battle going. If they refuse to leave until Round 7, they will reach the point in which they will be forced to run. From there on, the referee may introduce similar situations whenever he/she/it wishes (If they wish to introduce none, they are perfectly allowed to, of course).

Other: Pokémon that need a body of water to stay on cannot be used.
