• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

The CoD Monotype Challenge

I probably should have updated this sooner...

I got through most of the game without problems - only Cynthia was awkward, because Garchomp outsped my counter and had earthquake, and she had some other difficult stuff. I probably should have taken notes or something. Anyway, I've done the Stark Mountain thing and was about to go through the second half of victory road when I was distracted by shiny gerbils, honours projects and Unova.

Beginning a Ground monotype on Leaf Green. Starting with Bulbasaur so I can speed through the first gym and pick up a Geodude in Mount Moon. Also going to nab a Nidoran.

Soon to Have Team:

This looks fun. I think I'm going to try a Water monotype on Emerald. (was going to do Grass, but then I realized Zackrai was already, so...) Tomorrow, that is.

Crawdaunt
Walrein

I will update after every 'boss battle' -- rivals, gyms, some magma/aqua battles, legendaries, E4, etc.

Try to stay on topic with 'mono run' and less with 'feebas'

Anyways, I'm using the update idea that Zapi has. After this rival battle an update is coming

It's annoying to get feebas two.

The word you want is "too".

"Two" means one more than one. "Two" means one less than three.

"Too" means additionally or also.

Sorry to snap at you, but I've been seeing this error a ton lately and it drives me up the wall.

oh fricking man
I FACED MY RIVAL FOR THE SECOND LAST STORY-ORIENTED TIME

alakazam
charizard

NO. JUST FREAKING NO. I COULD BARELY GET PASSED ALAKAZAM. Then Charizard appears.

That damned charizard ripped through my team, whatever I threw at him. Then I had a genius idea of using a SicK Tentacruel I had conveniently in my party.

WING ATTACK. 50SOMETHING HP LEFT
REVIVE

It went on and on until I finally got charizard to red health. I couldn't heal no more; no FRs or HPs left. I had to use my half-hp revived tentacruel.

WING ATTACK

5 HP LEFT

WATER PULSE
"Foe Charizard fainted!"
"Player beat Rival Blue!"

there's a missing comma, too.
