The "Fwee" Thread

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

Hope everyone has a lovely Valentines/not very miserable Singles Awareness Day!

I'm pretty excited to give my boyfriend his Valentine. I took a Regenerate from M10 (The pretty one illustrated by Rebecca Guay? C:) and tried one of those alters where you expand the picture beyond the frame and stuff. None of my brushes were fine enough for many tiny details but I hope it looks alright anyway :[ ALSO I WONDER WHAT HE GOT ME eeee so excited I hope it's heart-shaped

The one missing from the little jewelry box is an aventurine necklace. I saw it first because he stowed it in the box of chocolates, he planned it that way because it matches my eyes <3

Yeah, so happy Valentines folks, though here in Finland it's known as Ystävänpäivä, which I, as a little treat, will directly translate as Friend-day. Yep, so let's celebrate friendship, understanding and love.
In school we got these paper heart signs that said some cheesy love-related thing. We later came up with a random one: "You fill up my heart container". Anyway, just... share love and stuff; in these cold, dark and deadly hours it certainly could be needed. Peace.

Best Valentine's Day ever.

And I was (and still am) single. 8D

The sheer amount of awesome in one day cannot be matched.

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

My dad got me sympathy chocolate!

Also, my crush keeps on being nice to me. (Gyaa he has a girlfriend ;-;)

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

Watching people freak out over what to do for valentines day when I don't have to do anything is way too much fun. Also, yesterday I reached 100 days/sections of drawing random things in my sketchbook during school. (I think I'm getting better at drawing, not sure though lol)

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

now that i've officially recovered from the chaos of yesterday/today

MY DIRECTOR ACTUALLY COMMENDED HOW I WAS PULLING OFF A PART

THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

Dear Jess,

I'd like to send you this email to remind you that you're good enough to spend a Valentine's day with more than just ice cream. I just hope you'll realise it on time :)

That's suuuuper-cute. I like the occupy Valentine's day things too, especially ones about celebrating forms of love other than romantic! (and ace-awareness!) I like people who treat it as a 'remind your friends you love them'-type of affair :D!

Though loooool there are people who take the actual thing seriously?? Every single year I forget.

Kind of off-topic but things like that always make me feel just a little guilty for having the "normal" Valentine's day experience, and not feeling "oppressed" by it or anything. I'm pretty sure we both had an awesome day.

I mean, I can get behind stuff like that and I agree it needs to be a lot less heteronormative and all, but does it have to put down the "normal" Valentine's stuff while it's at it? Some people honestly do enjoy traditional Valentine's affairs.

Well, the 'normal' stuff generally consists of worrying lots and lots and buying ~~the right~~ normatively-romantic presents, right? Going by most people I know and the general image! I had an ex who was pretty insistent about the whole thing and it just felt soooooo horrendously silly.

I don't think there's much point in being vehement about Valentine's day if you're not about everything else, though. Preeetty sure most holidays/everythings are over-commercialised (though this one can be particularly horrendous). I don't think the 'but you should spend time together/express love every day!!!' argument holds either, because having an excuse to do something might be good for some people?? and I would find it uncomfortable to argue that when I think things like the other V-day and other one-day things are useful.

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

Milan (the football team I support) beat Arsenal 4-0 in the Champions League. And I went to Cadbury World with my friend and returned with enough chocolate to sink a ship.

Re: The "Fwee" Thread, Mk. IV

i freaked out a bit...but eventually it ended with me talking to them about it (with further confirmation that my brain works weirdly) and i feel better

Some days I just love myself too much. Wrote a Freudian analysis of the school play. <3
