• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed The Labyrinth

Otorio turned around. "Because I always thought Minotaurs had a bull's head. Don't step on that rock." When he realised that Gairran was charging him, he dodged to the side, her horns hitting his arm. "Let's keep going. Look out for anything suspicious if you wouldn't rather me claw you up." He laughed.

(meep, already so long just from tonight...)

Avalon awoke in what appeared to be a little bird's nest on a ledge in the middle of the third floor. She looked around and, seeing the strange new surroundings, got all excited all of a sudden. "Oooh, where am I? It looks fun!" She started to fly off in a random direction, down a corridor, ending up heading mostly north. (toward where Giza is, I suppose:p)

"Claw you up?" Gairran asked. "But you don't have claws." She decided to follow the human anyway, since she didn't have anywhere else to go.

"We'll discuss that later," said Otorio. "When it needs to happen." He continued down the hallway, and stopped when there was a suspicious section of floor. It was split down the middle in half, so Otorio had no way of knowing which one was the right one. He tried the right one by stepping on it.

Otorio did not trigger a trap, not due to luck, but due to the fact that he was past the trap section (one post is needed to traverse it).

Garrain, however, inadvertently triggered a trap when she charged at Otorio. A loud clank echoed throughout the room as a wall opened up. The floor then slanted as a boulder, larger than even a minotaur could handle, started rolling towards the two of them. A werewolf like Otorio could outrun it, no problem, but Garrain would need help to avoid becoming a stain on the ground.

Avalon eventually came across the backside of the puzzle door. There were clanking noises coming from the other side. The marble that Giza tried to move fell back down the hole, and was on its way to the top. Well, at least the mystery of the first movement for the marble was solved. The first movement was down.

----------

Eric replied to the small faerie. "My name is Eric. And, honestly, I am confused. Where I come from, faeries, well, are as mythological as Sphinxes or Werewolves or Minotaurs!"

[x.x Sorry if the quality of my post has degraded. Handling my own post, along with both puzzles, is a little hard]

Giza swore rather loudly as the marble went back a second time, but now she was sure, unless it was a trick. She moved the marble down, hoping to move it right and left again.

The marble managed to go down without a problem... Then went back up to the top upon being moved right. The door apparently hates Sphinxes.

----------

"Well, where I am from, you are a figment of ones imagination," Eric told the faerie, "So I am wondering how a whole species stayed hidden for so long."

(How do you figure out if we're right or wrong anyway?)

Giza moved the marble down again, then left, hoping to let it move right again.

(Because I can't think up the words she would say. They'd be worse than cuss words, I assure you ;D)

[I used a maze generator and made the maze 2x2. This means no backtracking is needed X3]

The marble easily moved down and left, but upon being moved right, despite there being track before, it fell down and was brought back up to the top once more.

(<3 Could you tell me where it is?)

So, she knew two of the directions. She moved it those directions (down then left) and pondered it for a bit, deciding to put it back down.

[Nope ^^]

Yet again, the marble went back up to the top, almost as if saying, "Sphinxes should stick to riddles."

Since I don't feel like another description

Down, left, left

(You mean you can't show me where the maze generator is? ;~; I swear I won't use it for this. I'm just a geek that likes mazes :DD)

Down x 3

EDIT: Oh, sorry, I don't know why my brain did that o.O I meant down twice, then left.

[Erm, are you sure? Remember, down and left have been confirmed. Not down and down O.o]

The marble almost looked like if it was sweatdropping as it fell back down and went up to the top.

Eric frowned.

"No, I mean, where I come from, you are completely fictional. Not even a hair or wing to prove you exist."

Gairran desperately attempted to do something, but to no avail. "Help me!" she weakly cried as she held her horns forward, attempting to smash the boulder when it came.
