• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed The Labyrinth

Otorio tried to turn and flee, but his feet were stuck to the ground. He barely knew Gairran but he couldn't just watch a stranger die. However, there was barely anything he could do. Otorio ran forward and pulled the heavy minotaur out of the way. Or at least, a little. He had tried. "Go," he said. "Get out of the way!" Otorio himself already was out of the way of the boulder.

Avalon listened for a while to the sounds coming from the other side of the door. "Oooh, there's something on the other side! Perfect!" She flew around, looking for any small holes she could squeeze through to get through the door.

Ketarin, giving up on finding any food he would find enjoyable, sulked back to his room to eat some of the fruits he was growing.

Gairran was pulled out of the way, the boulder just missing her leg. "Thanks," she muttered, and continued down the hallway.

Otorio coughed. "You're welcome." I guess, he added to himself. He got up and followed Gairran, but silently.

((I have a question. When does Otorio become a wolf?))

(Otorio becomes a wolf whenever he chooses :D)

The marble, yet again, went to the top. It looked almost as if it were saying, "Down, Left, Up."

(Sorry, but you are now trying combinations you already tried. v.v)

----------

There were no gaps around the door. It would have to be opened in order to get through.

----------

Eric smiled. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you."

----------

Please, somebody else make some puzzles x.x I have to leave on Friday, and all those puzzles just... x.x

I'll give you a cookie? :D?

Ah, the no backtracking thing made it confusing, so I thought up wasn't needed.

I thought you said we could only make three mistakes, anyway?

Oh yeah, and do that.

[You are able to keep trying the same puzzle even after failing, as long as the puzzle isn't fatal. What I meant was for every point in Mind one has above recommended, one could make a mistake and it would not penalize them. In this case, if you had, say, 4 mind, then you could have done ANYTHING with the first move, and it would count as correct]

The door made a bunch of clanking sounds as gears and shafts moved. Suddenly, the tracks started to move apart, and the door opened rapidly.

----------

"No problem. So, have I asked your name yet? I swear I have short term memory loss."

Giza flicked her tail in self-satisfaction, about to walk through before she saw who was on the other side of the door.
"If you are the by-product of an amulet, I mean no harm," she said cooly, unseathing her claws anyway.

Avalon suddenly saw the door opening, and she flew away from it to avoid getting caught by the swinging. Once she saw beyond it, she saw the impressive, enormous (at least to her) figure of a Sphinx. "Oooh..." she said, examining the creature, then flying over to land on its nose. "Hi! What's your name? I'm, of course, the great and beautiful Avalon." She poses to try to show off her petite figure. "And no, what do you mean by an amulet?"

Otorio sauntered along the pathway. He looked back at Gairran. However, he bumped his head into a wall. He felt dumb while rubbing it with his hand. "Ouch...." He continued forward, making sure to avoid the wall this time.

Gairran stopped at a puzzle on the wall. There were five glowing rings in different colors: red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. What could this mean? she thought, and put a finger in the middle of one ring. Its glow intensified for a moment, then it faded again.
-----------
This is how this puzzle works: all you have to do is press the rings in the right order, then the wall will crumble, leaving access to the middle of the labyrinth.

(Darksong, you can't make puzzles for yourself, as you can then cheat. Somebody else will have to handle the puzzle for you. Also, leaving tonight or tomorrow. Barring getting lucky access to a computer, after today, I won't be posting again until the 23rd)

(I'll handle the puzzle, Darksong. Oh, and I'm still waiting for shadow_lugia to respond to me)

On the wall, there is a grid of colored balls... Red, Blue, and Green. The grid has 6 rows and 5 columns. Some of the squares of the grid are vacant. There is a second, smaller grid, also with 5 columns, but only two rows, just above the first grid. In addition to the grid, there is a domino-shaped wooden block, the same size as two grid squares put together, containing two balls trapped in the block, one Red and one Blue. The smaller grid is empty, while the larger grid has balls in the following organization:

|_|R|_|_|G|
|_|R|R|B|B|
|R|G|B|R|G|
|G|R|R|G|G|
|G|G|B|R|B|
|R|R|R|B|B|
---------------

The domino is movable, and it appears it can be placed in the smaller grid, in any orientation, horizontally or vertically
