Open The Night's Reign

I hope I'm not too late.

Name: Kyle Owens
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Occupation: Team Night General
Appearance: Kyle is average height and slim, and has deep violet eyes and dark blue, short cut hair. He refused the Team Night uniform (explained below) and wears grey jeans, a black hooded sweater and black trainers.

Personality: Kyle is the strong, silent type. He won't talk much, and prefers to work with keen people, who understand his orders without him having to talk. He is very clever, one of the aspects that made him a general among the Team Night, others being observant and discreet. Despite his affiliation, if Kyle witnesses a lady in trouble, he'll help (unless she's an enemy).

Biography: Kyle lost his parents at a very young age, and was adopted by a Team Night Grunt. He was then submitted to special training and studies, with the sole purpose of making him a top rank. With the great results of that training, he was proposed to the rank of General and accepted. Because they needed someone as competent as him, they had no choice but to authorize his rebellion against the uniform.

Pokemon:
Dusknoir (M)
Scyther (F)
floatzel (M)
aggron (F)
gliscor (M)

Other: Nothing.

"Busy day Sir?" the shop clerk said as David searched through his wallet for money to pay with. "Yes indeed Ma'am" He answered, tilting his hat, "I got a Pokémon Beauty contest in two days, a drawing contest whose deadline is tomorrow and I've not even started the drawing!" he gave the clerk money and took a plastic bag, placing the goods in it. He walked away, carrying the bag in his right hand.

((Arcanine: Accepted))

There was a commotion near the museum, Amanda could see. She wondered... what was going on? Checking it out wouldn't hurt, now that she had Volt by her side.

She fed him a Nomel berry -- sour foods were his favorite -- and they headed towards the scene.

It seemed that a long line of people in purple uniforms were trying to get in. What were they, a field trip? Of course not! With a closer look... they seemed to be... members of some kind of organization? And it didn't look good.

I've seen many articles in the newspaper about crimes lately, within the last few months, Amanda thought. And these people look like them...

If there's any more suspicious behavior, I'm going to have to do something about it. But not now.

Calmly, she returned home, beckoning to Volt for a moment.

Name: Ira T. Itsaginof
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Occupation: Trainer
Appearance: Ira's hair is straight and snow-white, about waist-length. His eyes are bright but coal-black. Although his face is rounded, his features are a bit misaligned if you look at him from the right angle. A gray t-shirt and blue jeans are his normal attire, along with standard black platform boots. He has an average build and stands about 5'5".
Personality: Ira doesn't appear to care about the length of his hair, although others might. He can be a bit irresponsible at stressful times but is otherwise helpful and loyal. He believes that all Pokemon need a chance in life and rivals the dark team. He can be a bit impatient when he's waiting for something good but other times he is patient. He likes ice-skating in the winter, but dislikes temperatures above 65 degrees.
Biography: Ira lived as a young child in Lilycove City. After a fire burned most of his house, he moved to Fortree City and lived high in a tree when he was 9. He enjoyed life in this naturalistic town, and has lived there since. One day a strange Pokemon came along, and he went onto the ground to get a good look at it. He had never seen a Riolu before, and this one was fleeing from a wild Linoone. Ira scared off the Linoone and the Riolu became his friend. After that Ira caught every Pokemon he thought was interesting and filled up half his party with Ice-types.
Pokemon:
White - Riolu - M
472m.png
- M
Krow - Honchkrow - M
Jawnx - Jynx - F
Soran - Glalie - M
Wonton - Walrein - M
Other: Is it okay if White is basically the Riolu from Ranger 2 or something?

Two words: Un-finished 83

((Arcanine, by General you mean Admin, right? Or at least someone in the boss' pocket?))

Marissa calmly surfed the waves. No one would be surfing or swimming at this time of day--the oceanic world powers down early. And even if a couple of explorative divers were around, for all they new she was just a young woman who was afraid of birds and was close to her Pokemon. Al knew by now not to do anything to change that paradigm, despite having to put up with constant mutters of various factoids and plots mixed with "you're doing it wrong" and "are you trying to get me wet?"

A couple of largely uneventful minutes (and a silent lament over the state of a dress) later, taking a secret passage hollowed out by Blockade some time ago for safe entry and exit in case someone was watching. She paused to wink at a security camera (purely a precautionary device of her own) before moving into the main city.

Arg, know I'm a bit late, but almost all the other RPs I was in died, and I'm craving some RP action.

Name: Hannah Pomme
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Occupation: Trainer

Appearance: She has short, chin-length auburn hair that flips up slightly underneath a black knit beret and has forest green eyes. She wears a light gray shirt with a dark-silver stylized dragon insignia underneath a half-zipped black jacket. In addition to her backpack, she also wears light khaki cargo pants, and very much takes advantage of the pockets, and heavy black hiking boots. Her overall build is sturdy, but not stocky. In craptacular sprite form:
hannahdh5.png

Personality: Is a bit quiet and reserved around strangers. She's fairly hard on herself, and has minor confidence issues. She's also a skeptic, not willing to trust things without seeing it herself first. She has trouble getting to really trust people, but when she does, she becomes intensely loyal to them. However, overall, she's a nice, polite person with a good sense of humor.

Biography: Hannah led an ordinary life in Fortree City before her days as a trainer. She spent a lot of time out in the woods, befriending local pokemon since she was a bit of an eccentric child and the others tended to pick on her. After she worked her way through the Hoenn league, loving the life of being a drifter, she took to wandering the region with her pokemon, occasionally stopping back home for a visit. On her most recent visit, she received a gift from her father: a shiny Eevee.
Pokemon:

Eve - Togekiss [F]

Scooter - Swampert [M]

Chirin - Ampharos [M]

Myca - Breloom [F]

Holly -
133eeveeshiny.png
[F]

Other: Holly is obviously at a much lower level than the others, so is treated more like a pet and is usually kept out of her pokeball. However, she's still being trained, just at a much gentler pace. This isn't favoritism, as it's Hannah's style to raise pokemon in this style.

((MurrMurr: If you prefer Admin, go ahead.))

Kyle watched the group of trainers that shared the road to Fortree with him. Their Pokémon were still so weak, Kyle asked himself how much time they would last against him. A few seconds, probably... His phone vibrated in his pocket, and he picked it up.

"Your orders?" his assistant asked.

"Prepare fifty to a hundred flying mounts for take off. I'll tell you when the time comes," Kyle answered, and hung up, not even giving time for the young man to reply. While he passed through the first trees that surrounded the city, he looked at the agents he had positioned strategically, hidden on trees.

This, he thought, is going to be so easy...

All right, after some delay, here's, my form:

Name: Rico Pérez
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Occupation: Pokémon Coordinator and Team Night Grunt

Appearance: Rico stands at an above average he at 6'2". He has somewhat tanned skin and short, dark hair with an overall slight curl to it, kept in a fancy, swirl style. He has a distinct muscle tone, but is overall relatively thin. He prefers to wear flashy clothes, using them as a way to reveal part of his soul.

Personality: Rico outwardly is easy-going and quite social. He isn't afraid to give advice to others, after proving his own strength in comparison. However, in reality he's very vain and arrogant, looking down at others if they show a weakness or a lack of class. He loves dancing, ladies, good food, women, his Pokémon, and females.

Biography: Rico grew up in an upper middle class family. His parents themselves were members of Team Night, which is where they met in the first place. So, ever since he was young, they planned to introduce him to the Team eventually. He didn't know about it, however, until much later. From a young age, Rico was obsessed with dancing and beauty. He strived to become a great Pokémon Coordinator and make a name for himself. He was overjoyed on his 12th birthday, when his parents gave him a Trapinch, and began him on his way with Pokémon. 5 years later, however, they staged an event, acting like they had been kidnapped by Team Night and forcing him to try to 'rescue' them. This was more a ploy to introduce him to the team and test how strong he had become in the 5 years he had been training. Eventually, he agreed to join the team as a grunt, in return for his parents' 'release.' It was only after he had begun to become accustomed to their shady methods that he finally learned the whole truth, at which point it was too late for him to turn back.

Pokemon:
Flygon (F) - Kali
Milotic (F) - Tanya
Glaceon (F) - Amanda
Lopunny (F) - Grace

Other:

Skymin and Kali: Both accepted.

There was more commotion going on at the museum.

That's it, what's going on? Amanda hissed in her mind. They looked like they were attempting to... break in?

She began to call the police, but a hand touched her shoulder. "And why do you think there's a need for that?"

Amanda looked up, shocked, at the man in the shadowy uniform above her. He appeared to be a higher rank than the rest.

"The only way you're going to drive us out of here is if you defeat me."

Volt began to growl, his fur sparking.

Seeing that Amanda probably accepted the challenge, he threw a Poke Ball. "Come on, Mightyena!"

A black canine emerged from the mechanism, its dark, long back fur bristling.

"Volt, Thunderbolt!" Amanda commanded.

The blue-colored Electric-type built his electricity up, then launched it at its enemy.

"Use Crunch, Mightyena!" The Team Night member cried.

The Dark-type opened its fangs wide and gave a bite on the shoulder to Volt. The maned dog howled in pain, striking sadness through Amanda.

"Take your chance! Charge, then Thunder Fang!"

Immediately, Volt gathered electricity, then retaliated, energy crackling in his jaws. It was Mightyena's turn to cry out, and it waited for its trainer's command.

"Take Down!" The man in uniform shouted.

The Mightyena charged at Volt, and both were knocked backwards. The Dark-type lay on the ground for a moment, but then struggled to get up. Volt still seemed tired.

"Finish it with another Thunderbolt," Amanda said.

Quickly, Volt fired the remaining electricity, and Mightyena was shocked enough that it fainted.

"Return," The criminal said, withdrawing his Pokemon. He beckoned to the other Team Night members, and they gathered at the port, probably to sail back to their base somewhere.

Something told Amanda that they would be back. I know a few strong Trainers whom I might be able to discuss this with.

She headed towards her house and pulled out a few envelopes and pieces of paper. Mail like this is kind of old-fashioned... but I like doing it this way.

Amanda addressed each one to a different person:

Hannah Pomme, Ira T. Itsaginof, Vairocina Windra.

Possibilities:

David Eneco
Mark T'oise
Angelo Silver

((Tell me if you want to be included, if you're in the Possibilities section, or don't want to be included.))

((All right, you're in. You could probably see by her list, but I'm telling you, in case you didn't want to read all that.))

"Ah, a challenger," Winona said, after Kyle entered the Gym.

"That depends. Are you the strongest trainer in this city?" Winona nodded.

"Lets make this a two-on-two battle," she said, and sent out an Altaria. Kyle sent out Aggron, who let out a frightening roar that made both Pokémon and Gym Leader tremble.

"Blizzard," Kyle said and Aggron obeyed, summoning a snowstorm that hit hard and fainted the bird. Winona recalled her first Pokémon and sent out a Skarmory.

"Drill Peck, quick!" she also screamed, and it attacked immediately, but barely hurt Aggron, who just stepped backwards from the impact.

"Fire Blast, and Flamethrower next if you need," Kyle said, and Skarmory just had the time to use a Swift between the two attacks. Winona recalled Skarmory, wide-mouthed.

"Who are you?" she asked. Kyle smiled.

"Someone you couldn't beat." Kyle turned around and walked through the Gym door. He then grabbed a communicator and put it next to his mouth. "Advance."

Fortree was now Team Night's.

((So, we get these letters by Pidgeot or something? And welcome back to the sad world of RPing, Skymin~))
Vai got her team under control, and nodded to Storm.
"So, let's see if any of the Brains are up yet," she suggested. Storm grumbled in reply, and the others went back in their Pokeballs. Storm rose into the air with Vai on her back, and they started to survey the Frontier, maybe finding a Trainer or two to challenge.

Marissa's phone rang.

"Advance," a word breathed.

She sighed. Sometimes, she regretted phone tapping the communicators. It got so tedious. She really should have switched her com tap off before she left. Still, formality dictated that she should congratulate the organization. "Formality" meaning she was dying for a bigger salary and liscense to get out and do things more often.

Mouthing the words to Indestructible, she punched in Kyle's phone number.

"Mr. Owens? Congrats. Come see me in Sootopolis city at your next convenience. This is a matter of potentially getting us both raises if this works. If it doesn't, we were never here. Thank you."

She shut the phone off, grinning. Who said there were no perks to being a technological genius? She sat back, and tried to relax after the stress of the day. Al walked up and nestled in her lap, to be viciously recalled with a grimace.

Finally, Amanda finished writing each:

To [name],

I have seen suspicious activity lately. There have been a few newspaper articles about a mysterious "Team Night," and I didn't think that they were much threat. But I was almost defeated by one of their Pokemon today, and they're too powerful to ignore. Meet me in the Mart in Mauville at ten A.M. tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Amanda Baker

She handed the three letters to Serene Winds. "Serena, take these to each person, and do it quickly."

The cloudy bird nodded and flew out the door that Amanda was holding open. Amanda watched her graceful Pokemon fly off with, for once, bravery. But there was also a hint of fear... would they make it?

((Thanks, Dragon. :3 Sorry I haven't been very active in the Smash Dojo, but I don't want to start a battle and delay the story further.))

"Eve, Air Slash, now!"

The kite-like pokemon did a loop in the air and shot straight down towards her target, a scrappy-looking Toxicroak, concentrating her energy in her right wingtip. Before impact, Eve pulled away, slashing it against his face in a brilliant white arc. The Toxicroak pulled away and winced. Hannah smiled. This was her match...

"Now, finish it with Body Slam!"

Eve took to the air again and flashed a grin that matched her trainers as she shot forward again for one last shot.

THONK!

She crashed head-first into the Toxicroak and he fell down with a thud, clearly knocked out. His trainer called him back and announced his defeat. Eve pulled back and hovered next to Hannah and looked confident...until she sighed and fell to the ground, not fainted, but weakened. Hannah ran to her side and examined her; yup, the Toxicroak had gotten in one last shot before he fainted. She reached into one of her many pockets and pulled out an antidote. After Eve finished drinking it, she was withdrawn back into her ball.

"Good game!" she shouted to the other trainer. He nodded, walking over to Hannah and somewhat grudgingly handed over the money. Hannah smiled and thanked him. They said their goodbyes and he walked off.

Hannah looked to the sky and noticed something odd about the clouds...Is that cloud flapping? When she realized what it was, she almost slapped herself. It's an Altaria! But they don't live around here... As it landed, she noticed the letters gripped in its claw.

"Oh, one is for me?" Hannah asked. Altaria nodded and Hannah grabbed one and opened it. As she read, she glared. God, not these guys...I knew there were some shady characters hanging around back home. Well, a quick stop at the pokemon center and I'll be on my way. She waved goodbye to the Altaria as it flew away.

"C'mon, Holly!"

The silver Eevee, who had been playing in a nearby field, bounded happily back towards Hannah as they both headed towards the Verdanturf pokemon center.

"Rup!"

The high-pitched bark could be heard only from a few feet away. A small blue dog charged forwards, holding an aqua-blue ball of energy in its black paws. With a final bark, it lashed out with one arm, striking its enemy--a fluffy, cream-colored rat-- on the side of the face during its attempt at a Super Fang attack. The Raticate fell to the ground, struggling to raise itself back onto its clawed feet.

"Nice job!" said Ira enthusiastically, and White barked triumphantly. As the Raticate came in for a generic slam, White dashed around to the side. His enemy lashed out with its paws and hooked him on the tail, pulling him in. Transparent purple energy started to gather around White's right paw--the one used for most attacks--as he made an effort to keep his grip on the rat's lashing tail using only his feet and one hand. As he hung there, the shadow built up and completely surrounded his paw. He hung upside-down from the tail and held his right hand in his left.

"Surprise," White said, and struck his enemy in the face with a Shadow Claw.

((Yes, I'd like to be included, do you mind if I add one or two Pokémon to my team? It gets boring only having one))
David was drawing a picture of his Skitty Val as she chased her own tail. "There, done!" he exclaimed, looking at the painting and tilted his hat. "I hope I can send it before the deadline is" he took off the dirty apron and laid it at his table, and sat in his sofa and began reading a book while waiting for the drawing to dry. Val jumped up to him, and he stroke her head, "Maybe I should catch a friend for her, she might feel lonely while I'm gone.."

((yes, please))
Mark arrived at the Daycare Center, and walked up to the Old Man.
"So, what seems to be the problem, Mr. Day?" said Mark, tapping his foot.
"Well, my wife wanted to breed her Nidoqueen, and we've tried everything, but she won't get pregnant!"
God, he's an idiot!
"Well, that's probably because all Nidoqueen are infertile." Mark explained, trying not to sound like it was obvious, which it was.
"Oh! That would make sense! Thank you, Marty!
It's Mark, you idiot, thought Mark, but instead said, "You're welcome."
"Oh, by the way, here's that egg I promised you!" the Daycare Man said, pulling out a small, orangish-red egg with black stripes. "I have no idea what's in it, but you can have it anyway!"
It's a Growlith egg, you ignoramous!
Mark took the egg and mumbled a thank-you.

Amanda considered the fact of Mark and David. Maybe they would be good for this, too.

She addressed two more letters and waited for her Altaria's return.

----

About twenty minutes later, she handed the last of her letters to her bird and sent Serena off. "It's a busy day, girl, but I'm making something special tonight..."

The blue bird obediently soared into the sky once more.
