• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open The Rebellion of the Fourth Fortress

Ducking away from the super-effective energy that would've toasted him if it hit, Hyksos voiced his opinions to the crowd.

"I agree with Shamballa. We cannot hope to effectively keep a region in check by killing nearly everyone in it. If we did, we might provoke anger in the other fortresses, and then we may have a full scale war on our hands. Death is not the answer, unless it is absolutely neccesary. Have we even tried to negotiate with them?"

Hyksos stared at the crowd, waiting for an answer.

"THEY DISRUPT THE BALANCE OF OUR POWER AND YOU LECTURE ME?" retorted Xero. The Techno Buster was fired from his cannon, and the ice energy grazed past the Giratina's wing. "Let us use kind caring words when they're trying to kill us then shall we? When I have claws to my throat I'll remember to compliment their fur or teeth!" Another blast was prepared in case Giratina tried something.

"SILENCE!" screamed Hyksos, launching a Flamethrower at Xero. "If we continue to fight, we're no better off than the rebellion. We need to find a way to show our power and keep the rebels in check, and have minimal casualties. Am I clear?" He eyed Xero cautiously, and had a Protect ready just in case.

"Indeed," Xekrav said, resisting the urge to unleash Cross Thunder at Xero, "however, these leaders will not listen to us, no matter what we say, so if we are to get anything done, we need to take out their leader. Preferably as silent as possible."

He glanced at Xero momentarily, "No matter how much some others might want otherwise."
----
Synox entered the gym quickly, and was disappointed to see that some of the others had begun to converse as opposed to plan. Typical, really.

"If I might be direct, it would make so many things easier if we stopped having nice friendly talks and actually got to business. Namely, elimination of the Capitol."

The blast whizzed by Shamballa's tentacle-wing, and she snarled low, the glow of her eyes intensifying. She twisted her long, snakelike body a bit, her teeth clacking.

"You dare attack me? You know naught of the balance of power, the Great Balance that my kind have defended since the start of the Universe, when the first of my kind was born from the cast-off shell of The Original One himself? There will be minimal to no deaths, or I shall rend your head from your body myself."

Shamballa moved closer to Hyksos, curling so she loomed up from behind him, her tentacles outspread, giving the impression that she was a gigantic spider ready to strike.

"At least I have found one ally among the madmen."

---

Liliuim smiled softly, and stepped inside the gym, bowing her head politely to Emlyn, making her golden bracelets and necklace jingle. She got much more nervous again once she saw all the others, though... What would they think of her? Would they shun her for her strange eyes and fur? She shifted her weight on her paws and sighed.

"You guys should stop fighting. You know, there could be casualites by us just fighting here." she floated over to Shamballa. "There should be a way to do something about them, without many casualites." she was very small compared to the Giratina, she was afraid it would turn on her.
---------
Swiftwind looked over with a web in her tail/hand. "Maybe we should wait for more pokemon." she balled the web together and tossed it around like a ball.

"What do we do about the Capitol?" Emlyn shouted.
---
"I do believe that I know their ruler," Skye said with a smirk.

" So, who is the best for the job? We need someone who can get there and back fast, and someone who can kill their leader as quickly as possible. I could go, if you wanted, but I believe there might be others more capable of doing the job right."

He stared around the room, looking for a volunteer.

"I can get their leader and bring 'im back here."

Skye was grinning like a madman, teeth and claws bared.

Hyksos regarded Skye with puzzlement.

"You could, but that brings up another question: Should we kill their leader within the Fortress, or kidnap him and bring him here?"

Aarend saw the Lucario enter, though did not greet her. Just another one of the many members of Fortress 4. Raising his tail a bit higher, he set a few cobwebs aflame. The fire did not spread anywhere else.

"I say we attack quickly but powerfully. Like an explosion or a fire. Unless they have Water-type members, that's got to do some damage, right?"

A few peices of loose stone fell from the wall as the earth trembled beneath Meta's weight. He strode into the main room, careful to tread lightly as not to cause large trembles. "So." His eyes lit up. "Has a plan been formulated?"

Hyksos responded to Meta's question

"Yes. Apparently, Skye is going to kidnap the leader of the rebellion, and bring him back here. We are NOT going ahead with the full frontal asault....yet."

Meta listened to Hyksos. "I see. This turn of events displeases me. But all shall be well soon. Without their leader, they will probably charge straight for us. And I will be waiting for them." Meta would have smiled, but he didn't have a mouth.

A large Flygon finally stepped up to the former Hearthome gym and entered. She found an open spot near the others and sat down, lowering her forelimbs to the ground and folding her wings, curling her long tail around the side of her body. Then she turned her head to look toward the others gathered inside. "It sure is cold today. I do not like the temperature... So, what has gone on in the discussion so far, would anyone like to tell me?"

Swiftwind looked at the Flygon. "Well...So far they have ideas of an assult. I propose an assult against them before they can attack us." she looked at the Lucario that walked in and shouted, "Hello!" she tossed the cobweb ball in the lit ones and moved over to greet her.

Penia smiled a little bit, replying in a strong contralto voice, speaking to the crowd of Pokémon. "Relax. So they know that much of the Fortress is opposed to their rule. Striking alone is not going to solve anything. There is a reason why there are 6 fortresses separated from one another. Let's look at the facts: The Capitol is made up of the strongest individual Pokémon on Sinnoh, at least in terms of their own self opinions. If any one fortress was to strike against them, they could fend it off. But what could they do if all other fortresses struck against them? That's the doomsday scenario that they are trying to avoid, with their divide and conquer strategy. Thus, any plan we make needs to have the result of turning the remaining four fortresses against them."

As the Flygon entered the gym, Aarend couldn't help but smile. "Hello," he muttered, before he saw the small purple monkey throw another webbed ball into the flames. He breathed a few embers at it, trying to ignite a larger fire to keep everyone else warm.

After listening to Penia's reasoning, he smiled. "Turn them against one another, eh? I like it," he said, almost forgetting about his plan.

Prissia fidgeted into the room, wobbling away from the fire, even though she was cold.

A FIRE? Are they trying to illuminate my tail?! Gale!

"Hello, everybody. I, uh, guess I'm here?"

"We shouldn't go forward with attack yet, yeah. We should... plan, maybe?"

She felt awkward standing away from the group, but there was no way she was going near the fire.
