• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open The Rebellion of the Fourth Fortress

"That's not going to be good enough," Synox growled, "there will always be those in the enemy fortresses that support the Capitol's rule, and they could easily prevent the fortress from turning on the Capitol. Furthermore, there is always the chance that our actions in freeing a fortress will alert the Capitol to our movements, and if that happens, there is a very real chance of our deaths. Unless...."

He dragged one of his claws down a wall, which caused it to corrode from the poison in that claw.

"Unless we take a simple course of action: cause enough chaos in one fortress to lure a small amount of Capitol members, and when they arrive, we kill them."
----
"It is fair to assume that taking the leader will cause some... disarray," Xekrav mused, "and they will inevitably attack this place in order to free the leader, negotiations or not." He nodded at the Giratina, "This is a plan that I'm willing to accept."

"You want me to kidnap 'im now?" Skye said swiftly.

"After all, he's my brother." She grinned evilly.

Shamballa gave Skye a disapproving look.

"Not yet. We need to learn about them first, study their movements and plans. Any who can change shape or become invisible are a great asset here, as spies. Earn their trust, learn their plans, and then strike once we have all we can get. There is more to winning a civil war than brute force and fear tactics; you need to have your wits about you at all times," she said, sweeping her gave among the entire group.

She lowered her tentacle-wings slightly, and held her head up high.

---

Lilium tried her hardest to remain out of view, squeaking out a meek hello when she was greeted, and hid behind the Flygon that had entered. The large dragon was...oddly comforting, perhaps due to some of the tales that the Old Lucario she met had told her about them. She held onto Penia's tail gently.

'I just don't trust Skye to go there, get their leader, and come back, without starting something in the process...' Starsight thought to herself, decideing to follow Skye, to make sure she didn't do anything stupid.
------------
Swiftwind looked to the roof of the gym and saw some beams. She jumped up and grabbed one by her tails. She swung there while considering the plans. "Maybe we can go with his plan." she said pointing down to the Toxicroak.

"I am... known among the enemy, " Xekrav admitted, "I will not be of much use in an infiltration. A diversion, on the other hand.... would be something that I could easily cause to assist the infiltrators."

He looked again at the Giratina. "Does that sound fair to you?"
----
Synox noticed the Ambipom. "At least there's someone in here that supports me," he said, more to himself than to any of the others.

And at any rate, even if they don't agree, I will ensure that it's a plan that gets carried out.

Aarend shrugged, wings fluttering a bit as he did so.

"I guess we could follow through with that. I just say we use an explosion or fire to cause the chaos and lure them in."

"Like a nice rain on a Fire Techno Buster!!??" fantasized Xero, his necklace switching to fire on his thoughts. "Gonna burn it to the ground... and laugh like a maniac!"

"You're scaring me, Xero. Should I go now, or..." Skye mumbled as she slowly drifted away.
---
Emlyn floated about. "That would work..." he whispered to himself.

"Uh... really? Okay... But we have a plan, right?"

I don't want to kill them...

Prissia waddled away, trying to make it look like she never said anything.

"Scaring you you say?" Xero smirked. His Techno Buster gained power as it charged, heat resonating from it. "Why? Afraid to get burned? They should be afraid! Of the FIRE!"

"Please don't hurt me..." Skye begged. She began to charge up an Air Slash, aiming it at Xero as much as she could. "Or take this!"

She fired.

Shamballa disappeared without a trace rather suddenly when the two had started their aggression, and materialized in a burst of shadow energy between the two, the Air Slash striking her hard in the underbelly. She growled in pain a bit, the blade of air leaving a cut in her grey skin. She glared daggers at Skye, then looked over at Xero, eyes shining red - the start of a Scary Face.

"What did I say! Another word or attack from either for you and you will find out first hand why my kind's Shadow Force is so feared among mortals. We solve nothing with infighting and petty squabbles. I will be taking the lead from here, and all those who continue to fight pointlessly may be left to their own devices. Who's with me?" She hissed, blue drachenfeuer dribbling down her face.

"And you will apologize to each other, and myself, for causing injury. You will atone for your transgressions against the Great Balance," she added with a growl.

"I'm sorry miss Giratina. I won't hurt anyone else unless really necessary." She transformed into Land Forme and used Healing Wish towards Shamballa, barely stopping herself from fainting. She then used Rest and laid there, calmly, as her health regenerated. Pale snores could be heard.

"I agree with Shamballa, but I don't think we should have just one leader. We should all have an equal say in what we do. Monarchy usually ends with..." Hyskos glanced at Xero "...revolt."

"Whatever. Sorry she went Psycho and hurt you" retorted Xero. "I'm outta here. Gonna go somewhere where nobody's afraid to fight." Xero jumped into the air and began to Fly ((somehow, with no wings, ho knows)). He kept going, and going until he found the Resort Area desert.

The large Flygon curled her tail around the small Lucario, hugging her with it. She then pulled her with her tail over in front of her, holding Lilium against her tummy. "It's all right, child. Don't be afraid," she spoke quietly to the Lucario, before turning her attention to the Toxicroak and Ambipom. "So just how do you plan to force them to fall into a trap, and how do you plan to kill them? We can't rely on luck, or on them to make a mistake. They are already aware of our presence, as I'm sure you already know. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a preemptive attack on us. In fact, that may be what can work in our favor... ah yes. If we can goad them into striking at us first, we will have all the evidence we need to demonstrate to the other fortresses why we need to unite against them. In addition, I have a simple plan for spying on their plans... we let them capture a few of us... but more than what they think they're capturing. The extra one or two should be enough to infiltrate their fortress and free the rest of us when they're done."
