2008 American Presidential Election

Who would you prefer to see lead the United States?

I don't want either. Obama's too inexperienced, and will do anything to win, even if it means telling everyone only what they want to hear. We also don't need another republican in office, then it would just be another 4 years of what we have now. We need change, and we need it from a democrat that isn't Obama.

Why is he inexperienced? Not because he's young, I hope, because that's bullshit. He's been a senator for a couple of years now and he's been lecturing at a university for even longer. He's very intelligent, has good ideas and went to a good university to be in law. And he can't be saying things everyone likes since Republicans hate him so uh :/

McCain is agressive and senile and thinks that being in a war qualifies him to be president. Only if he presides as well as he fights you're all screwed.

All in all just improve your shitty country.

Jesus, Obama and McCain are both eejits. If I had my way, all countries would have a leaderless government. Not sure how it'd work but I think it'd make sense.

You mean a Communist, or rather Socialist government? It sounds good on paper but in reality it just doesn't seem to work. Look at N. Korea, the ex-Soviet Union, China, Cuba, those were Communist ruled nations and they seem to be falling apart. Then again, apparently Socialist governments don't have a head leader like Communists do.

As for elections, I would vote for Obama, because he's not old, not shoving his head up Bush's ass, and has really good politics. Keep Net Neutrality alive!

As for McBush, he's just the same thing we have now, so if you want change, vote Obama.

And by the way, those who honestly believe the crap Fox News says about Obama, just remember, Obama is NOT a radical Muslim, he never was. His father died when Obama was around 8 or 9 years of age, and for God's sake, his grandmother's white! How could he honestly be racist to white people?

Oh, AND DON'T CONFUSE HIS NAME WITH OSAMA'S!!!!! Damn Fox News propaganda machine.

Can Obama become the president? YES HE CAN! Mostly because McCain(McBush)'s too old to reealize what we need in the world, and yet again, McCain is just George Bush's 3rd term.

Because in his years of being senator, he never voted on anything. He always abstained. He didn't support the war in Iraq, but he didn't oppose it.

Are you a retard or just naive? This is pretty much the fucking standard for elections.

And who would you suggest? Hillary? Obama is probably one of the most proactive and promising candidates I've heard of. If you actually took the time to do a little research, you might be able to discover what his plans and opinions are.

Also; on your last comment; Many senators do not. When you are faced with a decision where the outcome isn't fully known, you don't always want to blindly take a stand. According to the executive branch, Iraq was armed with REAL NUCULAR WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. When we find out it's a crock of shit then congress tries in vain to get bush to fucking pull out.

The irony is how much I hate politics in America because half the democrats are conservative imo. At least Obama isn't declaring war on minorities, etc, we don't need another John McSame.

Yes, maybe, but I want someone that will tell me the truth as a voter, not just tell me lies to get me to do something. I'm not retarded, and I'm not naive, I'm hopeful. There wasn't a need to insult me.

Then go look at their history and figure it out yourself.

There is no politician that will tell you the truth.

Anyone who goes to school in America will know of a little law called "NO Child Left Behind". McSame wants it the same. Hillary wanted it gone, BUT SHE VOTED YES TO IT, and Obama wants it to change, so that it's not abou preparing for a test. THIS is the main reason why I would vote for Obama, IF I COULD.

Socialism means many things. Communism and Socialism of course overlap; but the Nazi Party was the National Socialist Party; and Clement Attlee, neither a Communist nor a Fascist, was a Socialist.

Communism works on paper, but does not work in reality? Capitalism scarcely works on paper. It seems to me a rather convenient myth that Communism is simply impossible. Perhaps it is instead impossible for Communism and Capitalism to exist together.

Sorry, Ruby, but real Marxist Communism does not work. There are only a select few very small communities that can actually uphold a system like that. How many countries do you want to turn dictatorial to prove my point?

Though, you are very right about socialism. Most good countries are fairly socialist.

No, I mean a government with no leaders. I don't know if you noticed, but there are leaders in Socialism.

Also, the true etymology of the word politics:

politics n from poly (many) and tics (bloodsuckers)

Actually, those are 2 different languages.

ploy- is a Greek word meaning many or much while

tic is a "sudden, repetitive, stereotyped, nonrhythmic movement (motor tic) or sound (phonic tic) that involves discrete groups of muscles".

The bloodsucking insect is spelt tick.

Don't you just love Wikipedia?

I bow down to your sarcasm detection skills.

Anyway, I'm Irish, and politically inept, but I hope Obama wins. Anti-war, pro-environment, against the Middle Eastern Conflict......... he kind of fits the bill.

Yes.

Don't you just love people who try to take all the fun out of my joke using Wikipedia and still manage to mispell the word poly?
