• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Ah OK, no problem. I'm sorry about the bother, usually my commands are more clear-cut than that.
....OK, apprently I misread something. Let's try this:

First action: If Ghost hurts himself in confusion, Tak will use dark pulse. If he doesn't, Tak will taunt to trigger magic coat.

Second action: If ghost hurts himself, Tak will use calm mind. If he doesn't, then dark pulse. He'll also resort to dark pulse if his taunt was reflected successfully.

Third action: If ghost hurts himself, Tak will use calm mind. If he has already used calm mind last turn, he will use dark pulse. He'll also resort to dark pulse if Ghost doesn't hurt himself or if his taunt was successfully reflected.

    Is that clearer?
Yes, pokémon can use 5th-gen moves now, even if they couldn't at the time that the battle started.

If it's clear which set of commands is correct (for example, here it's pretty obvious moon-panther doesn't want her darmanitan rain dancing), go with the one that makes sense. If you're not sure which set the player actually wants, ask.
Pretty sure you can use fifth gen moves as soon as they're released, regardless of whether the battle was started beforehand. That's how it went in all the battles I've seen at least. No harm in clarifying it with Negrek though.
Just to clarify my commands: I wanted Tak to use calm mind in case of confusion-fail, but only once. I put it down twice in the command string because the confusion fail might not have happened on the second action, but could have on the third action and vice versa.
If confusion-fail happened on the second and third actions he would use calm mind, then dark pulse. If there was no confusion-fail at all, he'd just go with dark pulse. Does that make sense? (urgh, sorry for lack of clarity)
Signature referring to a promise made with Squornshellous Beta.

I don't know how I did D: And I'm not; because of the errors and broken links you're referring to.
I didn't see a thing live thanks to the musical. They did stream the game at the theatre up until about a half hour before showtime, but I was too busy getting into costume to listen. My Dad did record the game for me, but I was tired enough last night that he just showed me the goal.
I only just noticed the Bagon's evolution in the background of your avatar. *facepalm*
It seems I put half that reffing through the wash by accident, folded up in one of my pockets. Whoops. Here's what I do have, though, and quickish summaries of what I planned to have happen in the paragraphs I lost and the ones I never got to.
The Wiz, a jazzy version of the Wizard of Oz. I don't have a very large part (Uncle Henry), but in the play (not the movie) Aunt Em and Uncle Henry get to sing a duet.
Sure, but as I said in this post I'm kind of busy/stressed right now, so I'd like to wait until next week probably.

And speaking of being busy I have to be onstage in three hours and sing in front of hundreds of people fuuuu-
You never know bro. And its all about the experience. Before my long absence I went Loss, Draw, Loss, and now in my first three battles back I've gone Win, Win, Win. Why? Because I got experienced from before.

I still think you're going to win though.
Sure! Just let me type it up—I ref on a pad of paper because if I ref on the computer I'm prone to getting distracted by cat photos or something.
Um, how far are you with your reffing for Byrus vs Kratos? :c I had my eye on that one for a while, but I wanted to finish my reffing for Indigo vs Mawile before taking it. I didn't notice you took it yesterday since you didn't actually post in the thread, and now I've put a couple hours into a long reffing that I really like so far and it's mostly done. So, um, if it's no trouble to you, I'd appreciate it if I could take it instead, but you're welcome to keep it if it is.
