Well, like I said, not all of the kids are registered Gifted. I think about half the class is. However, kids come from all over the district to the school (or its counterpart on the other side of town), they aren't all from one area. There are about 200-250 Grade 9s at my school, and just less than 30 of us are in Challenge.

And if there is, could I have you look over my appeal (which is not written don't be worried) to make sure it /makes sense/ because I am actually dyscalculic and would not know if it /makes sense/ ahahaha yeah. As for percussion (Quoting the guidelines here):
Up to three percussionists may be used, unless the ensemble is a percussion ensemble. It will be their responsibility to cover all parts. However, up to 25 instruments may be onstage. Vocalisiatons (Grunts, screams) do not count in any case, as does clapping/ stomping. Crash Cymbals, Bongo/ Conga Drums, Claves, and Timpani count as one instrument.
Drum Sets may be used, but only if the music demands it. They count as four instruments. The drum sets available consists of:
Snare Drum
Floor Tom
2 Toms
Bass Drum
Hi-Hat
3 Cymbals (Splash, Ride, Chinese)
Please provide a list of percussion (Provide the name of the instruments used in the score) you would like to use to the MTD office at least three weeks prior to the concert. If you plan on using the Drum Set, please list it as "Drum Set". All percussion will be assumed to be concert percussion otherwise.
