• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

    Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

    Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Well, I actually don't listen to him go on and on about the old days much. :P He's rarely home, and when he is he's either eating or sleeping.

    I dunno how to use the satellite, but I Googled some images and... it looks /too/ orderly.

    Still sounds painful. I can't sit still in a car, and then I end up stuffing snacks down my throat because I have nothing to do and then I feel horribly bloated for the rest of the day.
    I have no idea :D I'm terrible with geography in general. Though we did see salmon, and my dad swears that back in the old days (doesn't he sound old) the waterfall was full of jumping salmon and blah blah blah, old people reminiscing.

    The Humber river isn't very far from our house at all - just a half-hour drive. 250km sounds painful x.x
    We went to the Humber River... and I know too little about the location and Google Maps to actually find it 8DD;

    Apparently on my dad's side of the family, it used to be a tradition to go there every Thanksgiving, so he knows the way pretty well. Unfortunately my dad's one of the derpier drivers and he often gets lost...
    Oh, so they were gone by the time you got there, too? D: Last year at least we saw a few... this year, no such luck.

    Though we didn't stay long because my brother is a grumpy person of mountain-sized proportions and he wanted to go home.
    Eh, you probably don't know him. ABCD? About the only mention of him you'll see in ASB is that I gave him my Drifblim. He's terribly shy and demands that I teach him more about ASB before he actually battles, so it may be a while until you actually do see him around...

    Oh wow LOL. Though technically you didn't lurk for those two years you disappeared, right? So I think my claim is still justified :D
    Actually wait a sec, this is what I get for not updating my profile... I have an empty battle slot, but I promised my boyfriend that I'd battle him first, so we're going to have to hold off our battle for a while. Sorry ):
    Naw, in the grand scheme of things I suppose I'm relatively new. Though I did lurk on the forums pre-explosion. I was the /ultimate/ lurker, man; I literally lurked for years before joining ASB, so I had a pretty good knowledge of how the stuff worked.

    When did you join, by the way?

    :D Battle we shall, then! I /think/ I have another empty slot, but I'd like to wait until round 3 of the tourney is put up, in case someone takes our battle right away and you're left facing a team full of buff Pokemon (not likely, but hey).
    Triple earthquake. By my scale that gives me roughly 54 percent damage.

    A long time. :P I joined... two and a half years ago, or something like that? Feburary 2009, if my memory doesn't fail me. Though that means Denryu started at about the same time as I did, since my battle with him was one of my first, too.
    Uh, is that saying we have no chance, or the chance of them winning is infinite?

    If it's the latter, I'm just going to jump in and say that our Math teacher told us that there is some evidence that infinity is actually finite :D
    Massacres are fun indeed. I recall this one battle where Kratos's Houndour KO'd MurrMurr's Gible in one round flat through gratuitous use of Counter. Best round ever.

    Having a full team of huge, hulking fully-evolved Pokemon does tend to make you cocky. Though I've battled Whirlpool before (well, still am) with restricted conditionals and a Pokemon with a not-so-great movepool, so I'm fairly confident.

    (too late)
    I'll be watching your tourney battle with Denryu with great interest. :D Your battle is the only one with an outcome I'm not very sure about.

    Rest assured, if you do advance, I'll probably die alongside with you next round.
    I'm trying to prove that we'll have a chance.

    And don't talk like that ;_;

    WE GOTTA KEEP DREAMING MAN, KEEP DREAMING!
    Well, I nearly beat Blashy in my first ever battle. Don't count me out. And if you can beat me, you can beat her.

    But yeah, up against the rest of them we are screwed.
    I don't remember. Just look at a signature with a scrollbar and make your signature fit within the vertical space that takes.
    Remember you're talking to Mr. Would Rather be Eaten by a Panda than do Math.

    Oh god, do not mention that.
