• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Would Seismic Toss still be affected by the target's weight, or would that change if it was used on a Substitute?
Ah, right. One last question: would you be able to use Fling on a Substitute?
good for you! sucky prize, tho

also yay! and I already have shinies of the other hunt pokemon so I guess that's it for the SWSH for me
I seriously cannot remember if protect works differently in ASB or not... Does it have a lowered chance of success each time you use it consecutively, like in the games, or is it something different? Also, I'm presuming Lillibeth is going to be attacking second here since she's waiting to see what Zack will do, unless I use a negative priority move?

(Sorry I know I'm approaching DQ time, will definitely post commands tomorrow)
The Substitute's movement isn't affected at all. Basically it's just that the attack's residual damage, 1% per action, still happens to the Substitute while it's standing, and when the Substitute goes down it won't affect Adelle, it'll just appear. Mostly because ASB gives more credence to flavor and, while Substitutes are remote/soulless and thus can't really be trapped or statused (i.e. they can, but it has no real meaning since it doesn't affect them), they can take residual damage from a whirlpool battering them or a bunch of insects biting them, and there's no reason an attack that normally lasts 4-5 turns (and is not based on the user's continuous action) would instead dissipate immediately just because it didn't hit its primary target.
yeah! one's in numerical order and the other's in one of my alt-formes overflow boxes (which I just realized were set to private, actually, oops)
Don't worry about it. Being in over your head wrt reffing is a thing that happens to pretty much anyone (who refs actively, that is), and this at least serves to fast-track what usually happens in that case.

    (I do.)
I'm afraid I haven't asked him the first question. Would that be rude? Do people usually open up about that to strangers? With regards to the latter, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully he's in my discussion group, that way I may get a closer look at his political views and their correlation with mythical dogfights.
I'll get a few rounds of that done as soon as I can.

I may have to hand it back to you sometime further down the road, but hopefully by then your plate will be cleaner. It should be plenty before that happens, anyhow.
Would be easier if their profiles existed right now.

(too much Magnet Rise, not enough Smack Down.)
    Yes, minus the bolded ones.

I might try, but that would've been much easier if I'd sent out Country Eater.
