• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • [Cherufe] Slugma (Male) <Flame Body>
    Signature Attribute: Toxic Body

Most Slugma have lineages that are generally balanced, although they tend to contain many Slugma and Magcargo of course. This means that they tend to hatch made of lava. Cherufe, on the other hand, has a family tree that contains pretty much only the Slugma and Magcargo needed to cause him to be born the same species. Pretty much the entire test of his lineage is composed of poison-types: Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Gulpin, and Swalot can all be found there in fairly large quantities, a couple of generations back you can find Trubbish, Garbodor, Roselia, and Roserade; if you go back far enough you can even find a variety of grass-poison types, like Victreebel, Venusaur and Amoonguss. All this has had an effect on him: instead of lava, he's made of foul, viscous poison. This, obviously, has a few effects on his battle performance.

Firstly, instead of fire-type, he is a poison-type, with all the weaknesses and resistances this offers. He also loses several of his fire-type moves, instead knowing their poison-type equivalents. Thirdly, because his body is similar in composition to Grimer and Muk, he can access their ability to use Acid Armor to blend in with sludge or poisonout pools. Finally, he loses his Flame Body ability, but instead, all contact moves involving him (that is to say, attacks that he makes or the opponent makes on him) have a 15% chance of mildly poisoning the opponent. This effect can stack, up until it reaches severe poisoning.

Moves lost: Ember, Flame Burst, Lava Plume, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Flame Charge, Overheat, Incinerate, Will-O-Wisp, Inferno, Heat Wave
Moves gained: Acid Spray, Venoshock, Poison Jab, Sludge Wave, Gunk Shot, Poison Fang, Clear Smog, Acid, Poison Gas, Sludge Bomb, Sludge

    :D Squorn do good?
Nautilidae Segmentata. And yes, I typed that out from memory.

No, I didn't. You should give me her. Or if you already did, go complain to Negrek.
Regardless, it's an arena that shifts the fighters' species. Ideal for Zorua trickery.
None of the guy's did, though, except maybe the Elekid or the Riolu, the latter of which sending my Zorua out against would be a terrible idea.
That would be the most desirable, yes, but that was one opponent with no Psychic-types on the team.
So, I just sent my Zorua out for the first time in this other league.

Of course, under the pretense of being my Remoraid, which goaded my opponent into aggressive Thunder spam. Which will promptly be met with Sunny Day, Swagger and Foul Play.
