• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I JUST SAW YOUR SUPOSED AGE.
    YOU'RE IN HIGH SCHOOL.
OMGOMGOMG I NOW DON'T KNOW HOW TO TALK TO YOU. O_O

    Older kids scare me. They alway beat me up. ;-;
THey're, under my opinion, written much better than Stolen is, actually. Failed though is the best, i really like what i did with it, even though it's a bit depressing.
Yeah. I like giving advice. It makes me feel useful.
I'm half done with the second chapter of Schooled, yay!! ^_^
And halfway through the thirteenth of R&F. I love writing, it's my thing, no one else in the family really likes it so it makes me feel good when anyone likes something i write.
Write your chapters and work on your description, and as for words, well, words are limited, it's not the ones you use, it's how you use them. You don't want to use a bunch of words that no one can understand anyway.

"As a result, I caught sight of trees to my left, trees to my right, and to my front guess what? More trees! No, wait a minute… ..."

As for describing trees, You may want to tell what kind of tree, like pine or oak. Then you want to describe what it looks like a little, and adjust the sentance until it feels write. But you don't want ot add so much detail that it bores your readers.

"As a result, I caught sight of trees to my left, the trees to my right, and the trees in front of me, and guess what? More trees! No, wait a minute… ..."

tell me what i did there.
I read the first chapter of Tales of Acceptance, not bad. You're better at writing than i think you think you are.
The eevee is a little sue, but not all sue things end badly, and besides, eevee is adorable, i defy anyone who hasn't involved one in a fic at one point..........

    Never mind.
Yeah, i'm Charizard Morph everywhere. There's very few places i don't use it.

Most things i write i post here too though.
    Why would you feel inferior??
I cheat on my computer drawings, I use a computer tablet. I cheat on the shading, I study shadows and light on other pics for pointers on it. I cheat at basic body construction, I do the whole "draw a bunch of circles and basic shapes than fill in with details" trick.

I am not the best artist out there. Not even close. Don't feel inferior, if anything you should feel superior.
Well I can only really shade on the computer.. but still. Shading with a pencil is really tough unless it graduale. I also over analized a lot of diffrant peoples shaded pics. I noted where shadows would go and where shine would go. I also need to know where the light is coming from. That's why, if you really look at my drawings, the light usualy comes from the upper left arae of the drawing. I've sprited a bit (looked awful) so that's my most comfortable light placement since I have a bit more practice with it.

    SO ANYWAYS.
How are you doing this bright and shiny Thursday afternoon? :D
Yes, doesn't mean I have to upload everything I do. :3
Friends should start telling me stuff to draw for practice. X3
