The crowd fills out their ballots quietly, shooting sidelong glances at one another as they pass them forward. The moderator collects them and grimly counts them up before calling out, "turbler! Come forward!"
The crowd moves like an entity in its own right, shoving the unfortunate member to the front. turbler looks more shocked than anything as the moderator grabs them by the arm and drags them towards the raised block on the platform that dominates the square. Sitting next to it is the executioner, none other than Negrek's absol. turbler starts to struggle, as though only now realizing their fate; the moderator is implacable, though, and forces their head down on the block. A few people turn away queasily as the absol raises her jet black scythe, then brings it whistling down on turbler's neck.
As the trainer's magical drifloon costume dissolves away, the crowd finds themselves looking upon, not the face of one of the mafia, but just an ordinary member!
turbler is dead. He/she/it was not mafia.
Night's coming on again. Don't be lazy like me--get your night actions to me in the next forty-eight hours!
