• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Best thread ever in the history of TCoD?

Exactly what it says on the tin.

What threads were so hilarious, so weird, or so outright ridiculous that it caught your attention?

Personally, I a Boob is my favorite, as it set a bar to compare other funny threads to.

and woo 1,400 post for me

Yeah, I a Boob was the funniest in my memory. There might've been a few before my time, though.
I heard the Rugrats porn and the first Turbo threads were pretty funny, though.

Am I the only one who never 'got' I a Boob?
What made it so funny?

EDIT: Except for the title of course, that's hilarious.

best threads:
>those ones where freeziepop and hari nezumi like overthrew the forum or something
>the crushes one
>rugrats porn fic
>not the whole thread, but the "it's like saying a tv is a tree" post and its fucking incredible sequel

i'm sure there were more gr8 ones i just can't think of them right now

Wasn't there a shipping thread a while back that was also the source of much hilarity?

I made that because everyone and their mother shipped me and Mike so my natural reaction was to wonder who ELSE everyone shipped on the forum (people shipped it IN REAL LIFE that's how bad it got)

As for thread title: I A Boob made me giggle as soon as I remembered it so that's my vote

In the back of my mind, the quality of a thread is proportionate to the number of times Music Dragon or Turbo posts in it. The one where Turbo talks about the smokin' hot black chick he met on Zoosk was pretty amusing.

@Photo Finish: I didn't really see what was so funny about 'I A Boob' aside from the title and Butterfree's post. Is it just because people love saying "Boob"?

Yeah, I honestly don't understand why everyone likes that "I a boob" thread. Butterfree's comment was pretty funny, but then it was just opal refuting a couple of pop evo-psych posts and then... people kept posting to say "this is the best thread ever" until it got locked for being spammy. So yeah, dunno what great joke I'm missing out on there.

Just when I think I've finally managed to scrub the memories of that rugrats porn fic from my mind, someone else has to bring it up again and then I think of that "vanilla pudding" line and shudder.

Yeah, I never got I a Boob either.

But still, pretty much every thread that Turbo's started ever. (I have a lot of affection for the one that was stickied on the old vB Coughing Cupboard. Or maybe it was Serious Business/Debate Hall.) /thread

EDIT: [CUE LIGHTS] was fantastic. We need more spontaneous actual funny.

Because I didn't feel like messing with the OP, as well. The New Thread button ain't goin' anywhere.

Fair enough

it's still the thought that counts. that thread made me cringe.

But the thought wasn't malicious. If they've grown up in a place thinking that it's an okay phrase to use, I don't see what the problem is in just asking they word it a different way and carry on as normal.
Also if it's the thought that counts them surely it doesn't matter if the thread is closed or renamed, because the thought was there anyway?

I seriously don't understand what you mean by that :(

If I were the OP reading this thread, I'd honestly want to leave the forum. I don't think that what the person said was right (it is a pretty terrible stereotype), but I don't think that it was done with malicious intent and I think it could have been handled a lot more diplomatically without publicly embarrassing them in this thread, and calling it "the biggest fail in TCoD history". While it's important to stop members from encouraging offensive stereotypes, we shouldn't make them feel unwelcome either :(

That's... actually a good point. I guess I'll remove that.
