• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Chasers of Emotion (the second)

The building broke through in a shower of wood. Somehow, though, it didn't splinter, and all faded.

"That's weird," Solar said.

"Wait!" He cried, and turned to look at one of the buildings. "Interesting," the Luxray murmured.

"What is it?" Ame asked anxiously.

"There's some kind of flow of energy inside, additional to the device. It's mysterious. We need--"

But somehow, the name was stuck on his tongue, and he gave up.

"I may not know who we need," said Hano, "which means I am completely stumped."

Kamikaze looked at Hano. "Hi. I'm Kamikaze."

"Divine wind," the Hitmonlee replied.

"I'm Yamikurou," came a voice. Returning to human form, the Absol stood up.

"Dark black."

Name: Aether
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Side: (Scientists or Chasers of Emotion) Chasers of Emotion
Species: Jolteon
Personality: A rash, jump into the battle kind of guy. Will kill first, ask questions later. That's how (Refer to Other) will happen.
Bio: A problem child from birth, ran away from home at age 8. He left with his pet eevee, Shock, which as the name suggested, he hoped to evolve into a Jolteon. When he finally got a Thunderstone and used it to evolve Shock, the radiation from said stone messed a bit with Aether. It wasn't until later when he was walking with Shock, that he transformed. The feelings of extreme happiness of the peace soon found him wishing that he could experience life as a Pokemon.

It is unknown what happened to Shock. I will reveal it later. >:)
Appearance: Tries to remain inconspicuous, so wears completely normal clothes, usually dark jeans with a red shirt. The shirt has some stripes, white and black. Got them from Old Navy. Brown hair, cool looking black sunglasses.
Other: I hope to eventually permanently make him a Jolteon. Not at the beginning. Also, haven't read the whole story, so I won't post straight away.

((Accepted.))

Ame said, "Can we just continue now?"

"Not yet," Solar said. "I might be able to find out the passageway to the exit by looking at this mysterious energy inside the fake buildings."

Then, as he looked back, something struck him. "Follow the gray houses for the path to the exit. Otherwise, we're going towards a dead end."

"This way, then," Ame said, turning left.

"Hmmmmmmmm........." Masquerade grunted as he followed Ame and Solar, having been relieved of the wall. He was walking becuase his psychic energy needed to recharge after holding up the wall.

Hano nodded as if answering a question. "Pleased to meet you," he said, shaking hands with Tim. He thought it was a rather odd name, one he'd never heard before, but he ignored it. Most of the people around here had odd names; it was nowhere he'd been before, that was for sure.

"I should introduce myself. My name is Ame," she said, nodding to the Hitmonlee.

"Solar, as you probably know already," the Luxray said. "Now let's continue."

He looked around to make sure they were heading in the right direction, then continued to follow the gray houses.

"Well, it would be polite to acknowledge us, Hano," Solar said before continuing. But then there was a slight problem.

"A dead end," he said, turning around. He seemed dismayed that even he couldn't see the upcoming block.

Ame looked back at Solar in disbelief. Usually he was the confident type who never gave up. Was it his wound? It was causing him to limp.

"We need to get your leg checked," Ame said, concerned. She couldn't help but feel deep worry. Expectantly, she looked over at Amy. "Can you use Recover now?"

Hano seemed to snap out of some sort of trance, even though he hadn't been in one. "Oh, sorry. I do not know what came over me... I guess I am a bit behind, er, schedule lately..." He said this in a rather slow manner, and seemed to be unfocused. "I cannot remember anything beyond being a Hitmonlee..." Hitmonlee. Hitmonlee. Why does that name ring a bell? It wasn't mine, that was for sure. I think it was close...

Oddly, he seemed to remind Ame and Solar of someone too. But they ignored it, and Solar turned back around, towards the building blocking their way. "It's one of those that dissipates," he noted, gazing at it harder. But he was concentrating, and for a few seconds, it appeared to Ame that he had died standing up. But then he turned his head towards her. "Stay out here with the rest of them. But wait, then again, I might need... two others to come in with me. Anyone want to?"

Ame was very reluctant and unsure. Lately, she had been rather timid, but right now, she felt a surge of strength. "I'll go in with you," she said, raising a hand and stepping towards the Luxray's side. Because he was still talking, she knew he still had human inside him, and that included intelligence.

((I should probably say that Hano's memory was erased when he got stuck. Most of it, anyway. I don't know how that works, but I think that's good. I think. Half?))

"I can come too, if you want," said Hano. "But I should probably stay behind, just in case."

Yamikurou stepped forwards. "I'll go," he said, and glanced at the Luxray.

"I would come, but you only want two people to go..." Masquerade sighed. He sat down and daydreamed about... torturing all who made fun of him. Yeah.

"I was thinking of letting the rest of you stay out here, maybe investigate other paths that aren't too far away," Solar replied, "So if we can't find a way to destroy this one, then we can find a different direction to go in."

He nodded to the two who wanted to come, and headed in.

Ame sauntered after.

"Very helpful," commented Tim, "to just leave us. It did look as though Ame and Solar were leading the group, but no matter. I suppose we better have a look around, but first of all does anyone have a way to mark out our route, so that we can get back or the others can follow us?"

Solar bristled slightly at Tim's words, but otherwise didn't react.

The inside of the house was amazing. It was all steel walls of some sort, with a levitating device in the middle.

"How do we cause it to move without taking us?" Ame asked.

"Remember? They dissipate first," he replied, "And that would leave us. We don't have the energy that this house has. If you can call it a house."

He stepped up to the device in the middle. "How do I do this? They must not do it at random..."

There was a white button in the middle. "That must be it."

"Are you sure?" Ame asked.

"I'm sure."

So, Solar pressed it...

And the house disappeared right before their eyes. They were standing in a clear passageway.

"Good use of your mind," Ame said, even though she didn't need to.

Yamikurou had just entered the house when it disappeared.

"Pressed a button, eh?" he said, hearing the conversation. He shrugged. "Now what do we do?"

Hano was back with the group, still wondering why the word "Hitmonlee" seemed so familiar.

Solar replied, "We head out. Come on!" He began heading towards the exit.

Ame glanced once more at Amy, fear and questioning in her eyes. "Please, can you try to use Recover on Solar's leg so that he can walk better?" Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that there was a slight limp to his step.

Outside the maze, Solar looked around. "There's an underground passage. Should we go?"
