• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Chasers of Emotion (the second)

Valkrie concentrated, and shook her head.
"I don't think I can transform right now," she decided. "I'll just take up the rear."

"If I transform, I can teleport us all. That would help for those who can not gather enough emotion to transform," Masquerade muttered in his favorite pose; leaning against the wall, arms crossed, one leg bent and foot touching wall.

"But, you don't know exactly where to teleport," Solar noted.

Ame didn't mind the fact that he acted rather superior sometimes. Everyone had flaws. For her, it was her secretiveness, and even sometimes, lack of confidence. She was rash, too, she had to admit. But she had good points to balance it out. As for Solar, he was rather neutral, but also wise...

Why was she thinking about something way off topic in the first place?

"So we need you to tell her where to go with your x-ray vision," pointed out Tim, who's throbbing head was getting less painful. "Then we can get out of here and plan our next move."

"Well, whatever we do, I think we need to get moving. If we can get ourselves away from the scientists it should give us some time."

"I already told you," Solar said, "The maze is too large and elaborate for me to find my way without looking for ten minutes every time. And I can't do that without getting extremely tired. X-ray vision takes energy you know."

He looked at the Suicune morph, about to say something.

Suddenly, Ame flinched. She hadn't noticed before, and didn't know how she had missed it. Solar reminded her of someone that she had known, but that wasn't just it. She hadn't met him until he had gotten stuck in Luxray form, and how could Solar be a real name. He was someone else, she was sure of it, but she couldn't find out exactly who. But his eyes... they were...

"Ame, do you have a plan?" he asked, distracting her from her thoughts.

"Not really, but I could get enough emotion to transform and get a glimpse by leaping on top of a building. Might that work?"

"Perhaps," Solar said, appearing to think for a moment.

"Whatever it is," said Yamikurou, "it needs to be good. Like I said, a Pokemon on top of a building might not work. But if Kamikaze comes with me, he might be able to blow me into the air."

Kamikaze nodded in agreement. "I can do that. We'll just need to pester each other."

They both laughed for a bit.

((DON'T DIE SOLAR!!!!))

((It's not yet, I promise. I'll do it when I feel like it.))

"I guess I'll just take a look," Ame said.

Solar cringed again. If Amy didn't get that recover soon, what would happen?

She used the fear to turn into a Suicune and jump onto a building. The maze was large, and the walls were almost as tall as the buildings. But to get out, they had to...

((I think I'll base this off The Cat Returns a bit. It's going to be not exactly the same, but still rather similar.))

((Yay! :D That's the awesomest thing in coolio!))

"Do I get to go too?" asked Yamikurou. Without waiting for an answer, he stared at Kamikaze.

"Stop it," he said.

Yamikurou persisted.

"Stop.
STOP.
STOP!!"

Now Kamikaze was angrily and blew Yamikurou to the top of a building with leafy fans. Yamikurou looked down and used his fear to become Absol.

"I live in the mountains, so I should be able to do this." Keeping his afraidness, he padded around the top of the small building, looking for a spot where he could jump across to the next one.

Valkrie watched the others go, and hoped they didn't leave her behind. She used that fear to transform, and followed them.

After a few minutes, Ame leaped down and became human. "I have a good idea of where we should go."

Solar headed off first, but Ame was right behind him. Hopefully this would be a time when he wouldn't mind being told where to go. He usually didn't like that, but it was survival, so perhaps he would accept that he couldn't be the leader all the time.

Ame shrugged inwardly, then smiled. She didn't mind, and sometimes, she felt like that too.

((Mewtwo, another warning to lengthen your posts to more than one line, combined. Please do so, or I will give you one final warning. Then your character will be killed off. If you don't have enough to post, just wait a bit longer until there's more action for your character to respond to. And OoC counts.))

Ame nodded. "That's fine. Let's head off.

"Now we want to stay together, obviously. I've seen how big this maze is, and to get lost in it alone, pretty much, would be doom."

She stopped for a moment, then made a right turn.

Amy hesitated a bit, still in Starmie form.
Hmm... Should I follow? If this maze is as big as she says, then it's unlikely that's the correct way.
But I don't know my way either. Atleast if I follow, I'll have backup if we get attacked.

Making her decision, she followed Ame, whose name was very similar to her own.

Masquerade jumped for joy, and used the joy to transform. <I could also fly above the maze and point the way...> Masquerade telepathed to Solar. <It might come handy, taking your word for how big it is...>

((Better?))

((Yup, on my computer, it's not quite one line, but it's pretty wide, so I'm guessing on your screen, it's more than a line. Thanks.))

Solar nodded. "Good idea. If you can use emotion for that long. But perhaps just the excitement will work."

Yamikurou slowly made his way alongt he rooftop buildings. "Can someone help me here?" he asked, padding across the outside-top floor of one of several tall buildings.

Kamikaze wondered how his friend would survive this. It was his idea, right?

Ame continued to lead others through the maze. The walls were made of stone, and were at least twice as high as anyone's morph. Ame could hardly jump on top of the walls. Actually, as a matter of fact, the walls were buildings, but couldn't be punched through. So that was out of the question.

Solar's x-ray vision didn't do much good either. Wherever he looked, he only saw more walls. He couldn't make out the passages. What were the scientists' plans? He itched to know!

But as they all passed by, leaving the start of the maze behind them, a house dissipated and appeared elsewhere, somewhere near the end of the maze. However, it wasn't noticeable, because of the distance between the Chasers of Emotion and the wall.

Masquerade flew over the maze, enough to see what was going where, but not high enough to have people see him. He began pointing the way, along with Ame who was also showing the way.

Ame looked up to Masquerade, bowing her head slightly, even though she was back in human form. "Thank you, Masquerade." She continued along the path until--

A dead end.

"That's odd. I didn't see one when I looked from the roof." She looked towards the Mewtwo morph. "Did you see anything out of the ordinary?"

But just afterwards, Solar stepped forward. "This is no ordinary wall. Apparently, it's on some kind of track so it can move. We need to push it aside."

He tackled it, and it budged slightly, but still, it failed.

"Masquerade," he called, "Can you do anything?"

Yamikurou quickly caught up to the group and made his way down from a group of small buildings. People would probably wonder what the banging was...

"If it's made of weak material, which it's not, I'd be able to slice it." He used determination to keep himself from getting stuck as an Absol.

Kamikaze dashed up behind Solar and to the Luxray's side. He thought and said "Do you know how heavy it is?"
