• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Cool words!

Dirigible! Adorable word. I'd like to cuddle it. I rather like "chicanery" (I was thinking about it wistfully this morning while waiting for a bus for some reason), and "tangible" is pleasant to the ears; makes me think of soft, bouncy things. Mm. And I like "triassic"; sounds beautiful. (It also slightly sounds like a name for a classification of animal with three butts.)

Adjacent, amalgamate, ameliorate, albeit, analogy, anxiety, arduous, barnacle, bedfellows, bezoar, bitumen, brusque, cardigan, cavorting, chimney, coalescent, copious, crestfallen, dapper, decency, demonstrable, derelict, dinosaur, doggerel, ensconced, equinox, erstwhile, exacerbate, facetious, fornicate, froth, fulcrum, gainful, gallivant, gingerly, grotesque, haberdasher, hitherto, hubris, incandescent, incapacitate, incestuous (in fact, most things ending in -uous), indefatigable, inkling, insipid, interrobang, isthmus, jargon, loitering, luggage, machination, malicious, miasma, minions, obsolete, obstinate, opulent, orifice, perpetual, perplexed, phenomenon, plethora, pugnacious, Quebecois, raccoon, rinse, sangfroid, shenanigans, sibilant, skulduggery, snide, snifter, sobriety, soliloquy, stalwart, strumpet, syzygy, temerity, truncheon, turgid, ubiquitous, uncouth, unseemly, ursine, vainglorious, vapid, verbose, wanderlust, wasps, and weasel are all pretty fun.

I like the word gallivanting. The definition "to go about with members of the opposite sex" is especially amusing. And don't forget that gallivanting is what one does with Tefiren.

Also riboflavin. Especially if you pronounce it like an Icelandic child, "REE-bo-bla-veen".

Exuberant, pharaoh, traffic, golfball, simpleton.

Why do I find random words like this fun to say? No one could tell you.

galaxy, hybridise, ganglion, tidal, triplicate, spangle, thoughtlessly, intricate, signet, cinema (esp. in italian), indubitably, façade, whisker, luminous, rapier, candle, lepidopterist, endemic, terrestrial, crypt, heraldric, monocular, unicornous, demure, jordgubbe, malificent, kaleidoscope. Also ménage à trois, but that's more than one word I guess. I also like whore because of how it's spelt for some reason, like you're supposed to spit it out from the back of your throat or something. Oubliette is also a really cool word because of its origins. there are also lots of really cool words in music like quaver and stuff, too.

and ultraviolet, of course!

Void, abyss, obsidian, exoskeleton, mandible, ancient, devour, cuttlefish, majestic... Maybe I find some words cool because of their meanings.

EDIT: Oh, and multiverse!

Italian and German are such great languages. (I couldn't think of anything for X or Y, and neither could Wikipedia. I might edit this later.)
