• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Crowning Glory

Xhan didn't know what to do with the Aura Sphere, so he shot it into the sky. "Well, that is better. But there's still rain coming. We might as well just keep going on our way. I'm set on reaching Mt. Silver, but if you want to come with me, I could use the company. Before I turn into a sour old grouch!" He chuckled to himself. "So, do you want to come with me or not?"

Wisp padded up to the sea to observe the rolling waves. Suddenly, she lifted her snout and took a deep breath of the air.

I smell moisture...it's going to rain.

No sooner had the thought crossed her mind then it seemed as though the heavens had opened, releasing a downpour in an instant. Wisp shivered and shook her head, then followed around the coastline of the sea inlet. After all, it was just rain. And she was a Grass-type. Rain should be good for her. So she kept following the coast and soon noticed that there were several trees growing to her left.

I must be near Cherrygrove now.

The pounding of the rain woke Vanilla up. Then thunder crashed, and she hurried south and into Violet city with her bag of MooMoo Milk. She knew it wasn't far now to Cherrygrove, where she would sell some so that hurt Pokemon wouldn't have to go all the way to Route 39. As lightning flashed, she was temporarily blinded, almost tripping. The violet roofs of the buildings appeared black in the dark midnight.

It wasn't so much the travel that was irritating Kendrack at this point. It was the rain. How uncomfortable it felt, prickling against his pelt and weighing it down. Worse yet, he and Whisper were by the sea, where the air was moist enough already. His feet were fine; he'd walked greater distances multiple times over. But the wetness...

It all did not comply with the kind of environment he was used to. In the Ilex Forest, rain would not make it through the canopy to soak him so. He would not be cold, wet, irritated, mopped down, or uncomfortable.

Stop it, he suddenly reminded himself, That's not doing any good. I'm going with her for a reason, not to start complaining about it, even mentally.

Somehow, through the displeasing clog of humid, damp air, Kendrack caught a scent. Yet again, of humans. They were close to Cherrygrove City. He vaguely recalled the name being tossed off human tongues. And that apparently was not far from New Bark, which was where their little journey would end. Despite his mental assurance, Kendrack still wished it would stop pouring down rain. Unfortunately for him, however, the gray clouds above seemed to have no intention of silencing their downpour.

Vanilla exited Violet City, entering Route 30. She was almost to New Bark town, where she would sell her milk to Pokemon there. She only had to go through Cherrygrove and Route 29.

Figaro was ready to sleep when he suddenly felt smaller body's scurry beneath him for warmth. He looked and saw Rattata all huddled together beneath him for protection from the storm. Figaro smiled and twitched when he sensed lighning preparing to throw down its fiercest. He let the Rattata hide in the trash as he stood up to look at the clouds to determine when he would jump for the strike.

Vanilla was halfway through Route 30 when she ran into a group of Geodude blocking her way. She hit one with a Body Slam, and it rocketed out of the way. But the group moved closer, and she gave two a Zen Headbutt at once. They fainted, rolling into a hole in the ground and landing with a thump at the bottom. The other five backed away, leaving a clear path for the Miltank. She left on her way, dropping a MooMoo Milk for the Geodude.

Anya had just emerged from a small area of trees when it started pouring down with rain. The smell of food from the human settlement in front of her seemed more important than staying dry, though, so she dropped to all fours and darted into town. Nosing her way down an alley, she wondered vaguely where she was now - it was difficult to keep track. She peered at a signpost, but it was covered in human markings that made little sense to her.

Helpful, she thought. Hurrying under the stoop of some building, she shook herself all over and sent droplets of water flying. As she lifted her nose again to find the source of that excellent smell, her ears twitched towards a sound along the alley. Curious, she moved a little further along the stoop and peered around the corner. Before her was a tiny Rattata and a spiky, yellow Pokemon she knew as a Jolteon. Blinking, she kept quiet and watched.

((Dang, I'm losing internet connection tomorrow since I'm moving next week but I'll say what's supposed to happen if Melodic Harmony doesn't respond tonight. Figaro jumps when the lightning goes to strike it is coming down on Wisp but Figaro catches it first and introduces himself, yadayada.))

(Yes, I'm joining as well. Muahaha >:D)

Name: Aeru
Species: Houndoom (Your fault, KQueen XD)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: Almost an average Houndoom - but her fur is a deep blue-black, and her horns curve back a bit less than they should. There's a metal ring on her tail, just below the tip, that's studded with spikes. She's very lean, as she hasn't been eating much lately.
Personality: Aeru is a pack animal; gregarious and happiest when in a group with a defined leader. She doesn't mind following, but she prefers to be as a second or third in command; the one who carries out the leader's orders. Deep down, though, she wonders if she even has an identity, and switches between trying to break out of her role as a follower and going along meekly. She percieves following as a safe position, because she always knows where and who she is.
Bio: Aeru was born to a large pack of Houndour, with one Houndoom as the leader. She was relatively low in status, being pushed arund and ordered, until she finally accepted that it was her place, and not to fight against it. Soon after, some trainers got word of the pack and caught many of them. She fled, wandered around and finally settled in Newbark, just barely managing on her own whle she waited for someone that she could appoint as her leader.

((And meanwhile I sit there waiting for Yanmega to get his head out of the clouds and reply. Perhaps I'll pop his eyeball out just to catch his attention >.>))
