• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed Era of Escape

"Gah! It's all the way at the bottom. I remember now!" Wish muttered, "Well, I will not threaten you with the mallet then....at least now."

She smirked.

"So... where are we?"

"Hm. From the general shape and size of this room..." Skimix looked around, "And the lack of exits, I'd say we were in some sort of prison."

"I wonder if that has to do with our new forms."

"Most Likely," Skirmix said, starting to move around the room, "There's no real reason for them to put a Drapion and a Registeel in the same room."

"Good to know. Now let's see if we can get out."

Kali yawns and stretches, finally waking up after a long, refreshing sleep. She sat up, her eyes slowly opening, not having adjusted to the darkness yet. "Hmm... strange. It's dark here, but I don't recognize this place. Where am I?" She notices a large bird out of the corner of her eye, but seems surprised to find out that the Fearow was actually nearly behind her... her vision was nearly 360 degrees. She could also see a pair of yellow rhombus-shaped wings behind her. "What's going on here?" It was odd... as her eyes adjusted to the room, she could tell that colors seemed completely different. What normally she knew should be blue looked green... and what should be yellow looked reddish orange. She herself seemed a brilliant shade of yellow, so what, she was actually green then? "I just don't get this... it makes no sense!" The Flygon stood up and walked over toward the Fearow. "Can you help me? What happened to me? What am I?" Kali then groans. "... and why am I asking a bird this... I must be going crazy..."

Caradence noticed something behind her. It looked like a giant dragonfly. Literally, a dragonfly. She hopped back a little bit in shock before realizing it didn't want to eat her, and landed gracefully beside it. "If you're crazy, then I'm crazy," she replied, roosting on the ground. "But maybe neither of us are." The long-beaked bird paused for a moment to think before continuing. "I don't know how I got like this, but all I know is that I didn't have any feathers before." Her tone clearly showed that she was vexed by this, although it wasn't completely drowned by annoyance. "It's not so big of a deal, in my eyes, though," Caradence added. "After all, having the ability to fly can't be that bad."

Rex turned his head to look at the others. This room was rather sparse, but he didn't mind much. Shaking his head a bit, he got up and padded to the opposite wall, placing a paw on it.

"This is pretty solid..." he noted whilst turning towards the bars on the opposite end. After a couple of staggered leaps he put a paw in front of the barred wall. "Whereas this... has spaces. There's got to be some sort of weakness."

"Hmm.. Fly..." Kali looked again at her new wings. Maybe she could fly with them? It had always been her dream to be able to fly. She closed her eyes and instinctually began to beat her wings rapidly. She then leaped into the air and, to her surprise, began to stay there, hovering in place. "Wow... so cool!" Kali bent over, rotating so that her head was in front and tail lay straight behind her, then began to circle in the air. There wasn't that much room, but it was enough to discover some of the pleasures of flight. Kali then decided it was time to go back down. She slowed her beating and began to approach the ground... too fast... Touching the ground with one of her legs, she spun out of control and slided about 10 feet along the ground on her side, endind up back near the Fearow. "Oww..." she groaned.

Caradence grinned, or as close as a bird could get to a grin. "See? It won't be so bad after all!"

She sighed, paused, and shifted her talons slightly. She didn't know if this Flygon would be on the same side. "I... my name is Caradence. Do you know where I could find Lance?"

Kali pulled herself to her feet, standing for a moment on all fours, and looked up at the Fearow. "Lance?" She suddenly began to grin. The bird was talking about her idol, the great dragon trainer and soon to be leader of the world Lance! And Kali just realized then that she herself had become a kind of dragon. Maybe she could become a part of Lance's elite guard... some of the strongest and most catered Pokémon in the world! "I'm not sure, but I know for sure he's not in here. How do we get out? My name's Kali, by the way."

"So why do you think we're here?"

Skirmix turned to look at his ally. "My guess is that we're being imprisoned by one of the two factions that I've heard have been going at each other."

"Lance and the Rockets?"

"Most likely. If it's the Rockets who have imprisoned us, then they assume that we're part of Lance's army. If it's Lance's army, then it's vice-versa."

"Options?"

"Well, after we've broken out- if we can break out- then I think we should take a more active role in this war."

"Which side?"

Skirmix said nothing at first. After a short while, he said, "Answer me this, Fero: which side would be more likely to approve of your desires?"

Fero stopped to think that question over, and said at last: "Lance's Army. No question about it."

((Luxray. If your characters are on Rocket's side and in the cell, then you should be able to see Luxray.))

((Mmmkayz.))

Bailey happened to look over and see what looked like a blue lion.
"It's... a LION!"
"Bailey, you're messed up. It's just a Luxray, which are awesome.
"But you're the one that's messed up for knowing what it is. No, Mysti, come back!" but Mysti had already gone over to talk to the Luxray. "Gah, fine." Bailey followed her.

Rex heard chattering and turned his head, his paw sliding from the bars. "Hello, is there something I can do for you?" He tilted his head quizically as he asked this, a friendly glint in his shrewd eyes.
