• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed Era of Escape

Kali looked around the large room, then noticed a door over at the far side. "We could always just try this, instead of making it difficult..." She walked over to the door and wrapped her paw around the handle, attempting to open it.

Click... Creeak... Swing...

"I think we're out..."

Caradence would have blushed had she not had feathers. She was so embarrassed... how did she not see that? "I'm so sorry I didn't notice that..." With her head slightly down, she headed out the door, but stood a few beak-lengths outside and turned around, not wanting to leave Kali behind. There was safety in numbers, after all.

Kali left out with Caradence, smiling. She looked ahead to her, saying, "Let's go find Lance." She walked along the hallway with the Fearow just ahead, her wings folded behind her.

The complex was enormous. She wasn't sure where she was, or where the exit was. "I hope we see a sign or something soon..."

Kiera heard a lot of talking from somewhere. She didn't particularly care, and didn't attempt to hear what was being said.

Of course, then she heard different sounds that sounded suspiciously like a door being opened.

She sat up just to see several more odd creatures who had apparantly been talking and in the same room with her leave.

Maybe they know what the hell is happening...

I should follow them.

Making the decision, she stood up and walked out the door after them.

Atleast walking isn't at all bad in this body... I feel... more graceful, even, somehow...

"Let's get out of here," Skirmix said, charging up a flash cannon, "Time to see how the walls can handl-"

"Or we could just open that door over there," Fero said, walking over to the door of the room.

Skirmix cursed inwardly. He knew that Fero wouldn't let him forget that little miss-up.

"Okay," he said, "Let's get out through the door."

Kali heard footsteps behind her and turned around, noticing some sort of rosy plant creature. "Hmm, are you coming with us?" She asked. Seeing several doors around the hall, Kali sighed. "Any number of these doors could be the exit... how do we get out? Maybe if I just try some..." She opened a random door, and saw a Drapion and a Registeel on the other side. "Erm, no, it's not this one..." She walked past, leaving it open. "Maybe the next door leads outside..."

Just as Skirmix was about to open the door, he heard something outside the room, and soon after a Flygon opened the door.

"That was convenient," Fero said, then added: "Maybe that Flyogn knows the way out of here."

If Skirmix could have shrugged, he would have. There's no better option, he thought while following Fero as the Drapion followed the Flygon.

Caradence didn't catch a glimpse very well, but the Registeel didn't seem active. Still, the Drapion had almost lunged at her, so she closed the door slightly. "Definitely not it." She tried to open another door, by hovering and turning the doorknob with her talon, on the other side of the hall, but it was some kind of storage room. "Nope."

Coming to the end of a long hallway, Kali looked around, seeing two more hallways perpendicular. Looking at the end of one of them, though, she noticed a sign, saying 'Exit'. "This way, guys!" she announced enthusiastically. The Flygon charged toward the end, up to the door, though failing or not caring to notice the 'Emergency Exit Only' sign on it. She pushed open the door and immediately saw a bright sunlight flowing down toward them.... and heard a loud alarm go off. "... Oops?"

"We need to get out before they notice us!" Caradence shouted. "Don't mind the alarm!" She darted through the entrance, somehow managing to get around Kali, and hovered in front of the door frantically. She tried to at least land a bit so she wouldn't be noticed from the window. "Ready when you are!" She tried to shield her small and wimpy ears with her wings. Or at least, wimpy compared to, say, an Electrike or something...

Kali squeezed out through the door. It seemed designed for humans, not a Pokémon, and she had to fold her wings at her sides to get them through. After exiting, she stood back at the top of a small hill and looked back at the others. "Let's go, hurry."

Meanwhile, back at the prison, Wish had done a good job of mutilating the toilet. She used her other objects to create a tunnel.

"See, we can escape now." she said.

Fero and Skrimix were continuing down the hallway, but because SKirmix had yet to learn how to move the fastest in his new form, they lost sight of the Flygon.

"You really need to learn how to control that," Fero said, "I think I heard somewhere that Registeel is capable of moving by repelling himself off the ground slightly."

"That's the most ridiculous th-" SKirmix was interrupted as the alarm went off.

"And now we need to hightail out of here."

The Drapion took off without even giving Skirmix a chance to ask him to wait.

Okay, maybe that levitation idea doesn't sound too bad.

"All right," Caradence replied, immediately lifting off towards the hill. She flew low so that Kali could reach her if anything went wrong. But it was good to have a flying partner; that way, she didn't have to carry the dragon that was heavier than she was.

Kiera heard a sudden, loud alarm sound.

She held her roses up to the small holes on the sides of her head, although that did little good. Her hearing seemed to be better as well, she realized.

She fled out the door as well.
