Re: Era of Escape (GOOD GUY APPS CLOSED!)

Pretty much the same place.
Although after you left you'd go off to find the army instead of going to break out the good guys. :/

Alright, accepted. And now we start.

"W-what...?"

Cara's eyes opened, and she looked around. "This isn't where I went to sleep..." she shivered. It was oddly cold, and it was dark. She could hear gentle breathing around her, as if there were other people around her, still asleep. Then she jumped as she heard a door open a distance away. The light barely showed her surroundings, but it was clear enough.

It was a prison cell. A few more people lay scattered about the cell. They looked tired, scared, some had bruises and gashes on them and some were generally unharmed.

She wasn't in her room. Where was she? Was this a dream?
Naomi was lying on the floor of what looked like a prison of some sort. There were other people in the same cell, looking just as confused. Groaning, she pushed herself up to a sitting position. She must have been here quite a while.. really stiff. There was a rather big gash along her arm. The sight of dried blood made Naomi slightly queasy.
"Wh-what the heck?! Where am I?"

Clove yawned and tried to sit up.. and promptly fell over. She couldn't feel her legs. Actually..
She looked down. No legs at all, just little flipper-like stubs. An egg-shaped body, jet-like wings...
Holy crap.. what happened?! I'm a dragon-jet thing! This has got to be a dream..

((Whoa... Zora, your character's name is Cara, and my character's name is Caradence, Cara for short o_O... but they're on opposite sides.))

Caradence shook her head, but it felt oddly like swinging a flail. Ow. Sitting up, she let herself rest on the ground.

But then again, how many fingers did she have anyway? And why was this long muzzle on her nose.

"What?"

It was her mouth?

Trying to stay silent, she fidgeted and accidentally fell on her side. It made her look up to see she had wings. Grinning, she raised her head and gave a victorious cry. "Woohoo!" She had always wanted wings!

But there was one thing she was missing:

The way out of this dark place.

Was there someone nearby?

Swinging her head around again, she took extreme caution. She could see a figure, but it didn't notice her as it passed by.

"Where is everyone?" She whispered to herself.

But then again, she remembered something... Lance.

She had to find him.

Trying to look for an exit, she searched for a source of light and attempted to silently follow the people who hadn't noticed her. But she tripped, and tried to appear still asleep.

(I'll start with what she was doing before she laid down and got dragged here)

It was silent. There were some scattered actors and directors moving into studios and trailers.

Wish knew it wouldn't be silent for long. And that's just how she wanted it. She tried to open the door in front of her. Locked. A smile crept across her face.

She peeked under a floor mat.

"Hmph...can't anyone try to find better places for these?" she laughed, unlocking the door.

The room was desolate. Just what she wanted. A black swivel chair was behind a brown table, an emblem shining as bright as gold.

She smirked. Out of her bag, she pulled a huge bottle of superglue. She squirted it all over the chair. If someone tried to sit down....

Wish giggled. She ran out and locked the door again as fast as she could. She darted into an empty room and collapsed on the sofa.

-----------------

When she opened her eyes, she was in a cell. Many people had gashes and injuries, but some were unharmed.

"I think this room needs a makeover." Wish said sarcastically.

((EDIT: Fixed because I know I've started wrong))

Where am I?

Skirmix tried to stand up. It wasn't easy. His body felt like it had been a statue for days on end.

Why am i so stiff? Have I been sleeping for too long?

He tried to look down. Again, it wasn't easy. He felt like he was looking through six different eyes at the same time. He managed to at last looked down and saw to his surprise that he now had long, thin arms that appeared to be made out of metal.

"What happened to me?!" He yelled, only to discover that his voice was now harsh and metallic.

The last thing I remember- Fero!

"Fero!" he called out, "Fero! Where are you?"

Rex's vision slowly came back to him.

"What... where..."

His voice sounded oddly low-pitched.

What is this? Am I just groggy?

He had fallen asleep on his side again. He put his hands on the ground and stood up, only to fall right forward on his hands again. He flinched and gazed at his extremities to make sure they weren't wounded.

((Extremity = foot/hand/paw/whatever.))

The only thing he saw was a paw covered in navy blue velvet fur.

He lifted his paw up in disbelief, eyes wide. He glanced at the wall and saw reinforced material surrounded by a thick shell of concrete.

"What IS this?!"

He opened his jaws and yelled rather loudly. Before the sound escaped his throat, he decided against it and sat down in a cat-like stance. He glanced down at the inside of his arms to see blue and yellow stripes running down them. Turning his head upward and to the right he scanned the tufts of fur sticking up from his shoulders.

Things couldn't get any worse.

((I'll start with Baba waking up, then Kunti a bit later.)
"Guuh..." Baba was on he rstomach, a foul taste immenent in her mouth.
"Another crappy day. Well, time to-" she mumerued as she swung at the air, oblivious that her fisst had dematerialized intoice crystals, and that there was no alarm clock.
"Huh?" She got on her back.

Bad idea. She rocked violently back and forth.
"Holy!" Lisa looked wildly at herself. Her torso was no longer covered in the green pijama jacket and t-shirt she was wearing when sleeping last night. Instead, a cobbly-looking yellow stomach faced her. Below that, there was a sleek fluffy tail, and stubbly legs that were a deep shade of blue. Staring at her hands, which looked a good deal like her legs, she exclaimed. "I'm dreaming,I'm dreaming..."

She felt up, stroking two stalky, short ears.

She was a Wartortle.

Kiera woke with a start, although she didn't open her eyes immediately, on a cold, hard surface.

She didn't instantly panic - she could've fallen asleep on the floor easily. It wasn't something she paid attention to often. Even if it was a bit uncomfortable, she wasn't unhappy, as there was a faint aroma of roses in the air.

She raised a hand to wipe a bit of sweat off her face, noticing when the fragrance grew stronger and something soft and silky brushed her face.

She opened her eyes, expecting to see one of the familiar rooms of her two-story house, but nothing but darkness met her eyes.

Have I gone blind? she asked herself, acknowledging one of her worst fears.

And then she realized how wrong and awkward her body was. Her legs were definitely shorter in proportion to her body, and her head and arms felt a bit heavier than they should.

She frantically began to feel all over herself, only feeling the same strange, soft material that felt so much like the petals of a flower.

My hands... she thought, drawing a shuddering breath.

With her forearms, she felt her back, feeling a cape that felt like a leaf, and slowly made her way up to her head, noting the lack of ears and the way her hair was so much shorter and stiffer.

"What's wrong with me?" she whispered, before curling up into a ball on the surface that now felt more like ice than a wooden floor at home to cry.

Mysti awoke screaming. This woke Bailey up.
"Mysti, what the heck is... it... WHERE THE HECK ARE WE?!" She was reffering to the fact that they were in a dark room.
"...Maybe one of us is still asleep? In that case..." She then proceeded to jump in the air, flapping her arms. "No dice."
"Seriously, Mysti, you're messed up." Bailey said. "Though I still wonder WHERE THE HECK WE ARE?!"

Lynette awoke, yawning. She looked around the room, noticing cuts and bruises on the others. "Well, this sure is odd," she noted to herself. "I wonder what happened here."

"Iunno." Wish said, leaning against a wall, "Quick! Tell us what is happening here!"

She pulled out of her bag a bunch of tomatoes.

"Tell. Us. Now!" she yelled, throwing the tomatoes for emphasis.

(Wish...she's pretty odd)

A lone figure seemed to perk up at their voices. Cara saw it and backed into a corner, glaring at Wish and Lynette.

"Well don't wake them up!!" she whispered furiously. But it was too late for that, as the figure slid out of the cot and limped over to them tiredly. The door outside the cell was still open, but the lighting from it was growing poorer, making it hard to discern the person's facial features. All Cara could see of this person were several gashes, a feminine figure, and striking blue hair.

"Y-you... You weren't here when we were locked in here... did you manage to get away for a while before they c-caught you...?"

"They? Caught? I just woke up here. Lemme guess....I'm on one of those hidden camera shows and all the execs are laughing in my face." Wish griped, "They broke the most important rule, no payback for my pranks."

Wish glared.

"Alright...the gig's up, girl. Lead me out of here and back into the lot. NOW!" Wish yelled looking for something in her bag, "Mallet...where's my mallet..."

"What? We.. huh? This is a prank, isn't it? Very funny."
Naomi complained unhappily. Clove seemed far more upset.
"How the heck is this a prank, or even really?! I AM NOT A HUMAN, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!"

"Fero! Where-"

"Quiet!" A Drapion nearby snapped, "I'm trying to rest."

"And I'm trying to find my ally," Skirmix replied tersely, "So I think my problems take priority."

"That's typical of you. You always think highest of your own priorities; never considering what I desire. Which, incidentally, is more opportunities to kill."

"What you des- Fero?!"

"Took you long enough," Fero snarled, "Of course, you were sleeping long after I woke up, so this doesn't surprise me."

"But does your new shape surprise you?" Skirmix asked, though he already knew the answer.

"Not particularly. This shape is better suited to my style. I can kill far more quickly and far more efficiently."

Why am i not surprised?

((Blargh, I is badly inactive))
Seymour lied on the ground, and he had realized that, even if he was more asleep then waken. "Did I fall of my bed again?" he thought, and opened his eye a little, he saw his hand, it was black, but he hadn't woken up enough to realize this wasn't normal. So the word black echoed inside his skull for a short this wasn't normal.
Once he did realize, Seymour's eye opened widely, and he quickly got up and looked at his hand again, it was indeed black, and it wasn't a hand anymore, it was a paw, and there was a spike growing out of it. His arm was not black on the other side, it was blue, and he was covered in fur. Seymour tried to get up, only to lose his balance and fall. He once again realized his legs wasn't either as he remembered them. "Alright, what the heck?" he said, just to find out he didn't even recognize his own voice.

Seymour decided just to sit down and shut up, until someone explained what was happening to him.

((Me is too.O.o))
"holy crap, holy crap, I'M A TURTLE." Baba muttered to herself again, and again. She glanced over to the left, seeing some blue fox-like thing, and a mongoose. At least, she thought it was a mongoose.

Kutni blinked his eyes open, slowly. "Uhhhr...how long was I out drinking with Wilson-"
he stoped talking. His voice sounded strange, and slowly, a strange feeling was overcoming his new form. He looked over his shimmering claws, his off-white fur, and a sickly green-black color around the start of his palms that vagely reminded him of the minty, sour liquid he had a spoonful of when he had a cold.
Somewhere, his mind hissed, Execllent. This form...it'll be useful.

Baba scuttled across the ground, over to the Lucario and Zangoose.
"Do...do you two..k-know..WHAT THE HELL THIS IS?"

"I am just as confused as you are" Seymour said quickly, he didn't want to talk to much, as it just made him even more confused over how his voice sounded. "I'd like to know what on Earth happened, too"
