Open Legend of the Stone Tablet

"We're.... I actually don't really know," Aria said. The wind blew on her hair; it didn't look like her expression matched. "Try asking someone else who knows."
"And no need to apologize," she added, looking at her coin again.
Then she looked over to the one who was attacked by Aipom. "Are you alright? Can I do anything to help?" She scanned the forest for any sign of them. Nothing. This was completely unfamiliar to her. Well, of course it was, but she had never been in a forest like this. "What are we supposed to be doing?" she asked as a Pokémon chirped. Aria yawned and sat down.
((Sorry for not posting two paragraphs last time; I was in a hurry.))

((So even though I'm not accepted yet... My number was 163, so...*gets big book of Pokemon* with legendaries, it's Hoothoot... so there's 5 Kanto legends, right? Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, Mewtwo and Mew! So without legends... It's Totodile! :3))

Tala wanted to walk even slower, but she was already at the rear of the group. There was only a guy in a wheelchair beside her, and he would probably report her falling behind willingly if she tried to have them lose her. Fiddling with the coin in her hand, she scowled at the Dratini. She liked Dragon-types, and Dratini were cute, but in her mood, she would have rather had a Dark-type. Like an Umbreon, or an Absol. An Absol... Like that beautiful one that I met when I was hiking. It looked like it would have understood why I want to be left alone.

She rubbed the scar it had left behind, trying to keep from wincing. It still hurt, sometimes... It didn't hurt when I got it. The doctors said I was in shock, but it never hurt. Only until it healed... They were lying. They were afraid because they didn't understand. She gritted her teeth. Idiots. And her friends - the people she had known, who had been her neighbours - had avoided her once she had been allowed to leave the house. And then there were the rumours when she had dyed her hair. They're all afraid.

Aria began to follow behind Tala, then jogged ahead, towards the general direction the rest of the group was going. She was uncomfortable because she had no idea where she was. Her heart was beating quickly; she didn't know if it was out of fear or excitement. Momentarily, she slowed to a stop, but began walking again.

She started thinking about what she would do next. Go to this school, hopefully get an Abra... I wonder what it's like to own something that can teleport... maybe it will teleport me? ...No, I doubt it. But maybe it could help me stay awake.... At the thought, she grew tired, but pushed on.

Unsure of what to do, Ava followed the group. Excitement swelled within her, but at the same time she was nervous. What would this be like? Would she really claim her favorite, a Buneary, as her first Pokemon? Her eyes shone with delight.

I'll name it Josephine! she decided, thinking that it would suit a Pokemon like that. Josephine the Lopunny would match well.... but she would have to train hard to evolve it.

Aria looked back, and saw a new girl approaching. "Hi! My name is Aria! I like Alakazam!" She showed the newcomer her coin, smiling. "What did you get?"

"I don't really know where we're going either," Aria said. She could just tell that it was what the girl was thinking, due to her expression. "But I'm sure we'll be fine. After all, my parents wouldn't deliberately send me off to a dangerous place."

Arylett continued to gaze dully about, turning her eyes to the three girls who seemed to be walking somewhere. Well, they apparently knew where they were going... they were walking after all. And why would three people walk if they didn't know where they were going? The short girl followed, dashing after them in a rather comical manner.

When she caught up, she stopped a foot or two behind them, following close behind at a slow and plodding pace. Arylett had a rather bizarre way of walking, an odd pace. Very stiff, yet with her hips swaying about at the same time, as if she was on a catwalk and fancied herself a model. She was silent, careful not to let them see her. Her dull mind was surprisingly blank, with only occasional random thoughts popping in between each period of blankness.

Tired. Very tired.

Everything was a big blurr. Even her coin... she wasn't quite sure what the coin was for either. It was just a coin. They told her something about it... but the explanation was just so long and confusing. Much too long for her slow mind to process. Perhaps she needed it to gain entry into the school. As some sort of pass or token.

Yes, perhaps.

She yawned a rather loud yawn.

...Augh! Now they would've noticed she was following them for sure.

(( Does everybody know that they let two guys passed out just lay there and walk around them? You people are evil X_X ))

(Heh. Didn't some people try to help them? XD And Tala is evil, so there. :P

Edit: Nevermind. Oops. x_x Sorry!)

Tala stopped, having finally noticed someone following the group. So she wasn't at the rear of the group. How depressing. About to drop back to walk slightly behind the stranger, she halted mid-step, glaring at the two boys passed out on the ground. Reaching out a foot to lightly nudge them both, she rolled her eyes, and once she verified they were alive - and probably stirring - she backed away. No need to stay any longer than she needed to. Walking slowly enough to fall back to walk near the girl with glasses, she looked around and stopped, letting the other pass her by. Yes. Now maybe no one will bother me, when I'm behind everyone else.

Pocketing her coin once more, she was actually grateful that it was taking so long to get through the forest. Any prolonging of the journey before they arrived at the school was fine with her. I wonder if any rare Pokemon live in this forest... I wonder if they'd let me come here if I had free time. Yeah, right. Mom probably wrote specific instructions to keep me from going out on my own, because I could get hurt somehow. Or, who knows, I could turn into an Absol! I wish we didn't get roommates. Whoever it is will probably want to know why I have the scar, and watch me like a Pidgeot to make sure I don't go crazy..

Ava smiled. "I'm Ava! I like Lopunny!" she held her coin between her thumb and index finger, pointing the image of a small rabbit Pokemon at Aria. "So you're doing this too? I'm sorta stuck. I overslept by lots of minutes." Ava would talk oddly from time to time, sometimes using bad grammar or words that were impossible to make out. She muttered something that even she didn't catch. Ava heard a yawn, but ignored it.

Aria chuckled, saying, "What do you think you want to learn about? As for me, I want to know everything!" Then she pulled out her book, but put it away and said to herself, "Don't read while walking!"

"I want to know what Psychic-types are like. I'm fascinated by them. They're just amazing, with mental and not physical powers, unlike most other Pokémon. What's your favorite type?"

(*points to her post.* =D Tala's not the type to get worried about someone fainting, but hey, she noticed.)

"Um........" Ava pondered for awhile. In response, she pulled out her sketchbook and scribbled quickly. Her drawing was basic, she knew, and when her pencil stopped moving she held it up for Aria to see. She smiled and pointed at the basically featureless Magikarp.

"Does that explain enough?" Ava asked. She looked at the person who had yawned briefly before glancing back at her drawing. She gave the Magikarp a curly mustache for some odd reason that even she didn't understand.

Aria nodded. "That's actually pretty good for a three-second drawing," she commented, looking at the silly fish. "How long have you been drawing Pokémon?"

"Can I draw something?" she asked, tapping the notebook once or twice. She already had an idea brewing in her head. She began to think about what she would add...

"Longlonglonglonglonglonglonglong," Ava stopped herself. "A year or so," she said. She took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Sure! Why not?" She took out a pencil sharpener from her backpack and made the drawing tool pointed. Ava put the sharpener back in and handed the sketchpad and pencil to Aria. "Have fun."

(Mewtwo, have patience. The owner of the RP isn't here yet. Wait until Jason-Kun returns and sees your post.)

Hmm...

Good.

Nobody noticed her! Ah, those girls seemed much too enthralled in silly socializing. Arylett sighed though. It would be nice to have someone to talk to, even if she was tired beyond all belief. And they seemed to be having fun... she listened in on their conversation, wishing she could join it, but being too shy to say anything. No, just keep that mouth shut. Don't say a thing.

She dully observed the girl's sketchpad, shuffling behind them still.

...Hmm? From the corner of her eye she noticed a figure... another one of those girls, perhaps... fall behind her. Arylett inclined her head subtly, watching her carefully and sharply. She didn't like this, being in front of someone. Being in the near lead. The short girl slowed her plodding pace to almost a turtle's speed, letting the other one go ahead of her. She took a vague notice of her white hair. Huh, well that was strange. But it wasn't really any of her business how and why she had white hair, even if she was a bit curious. That was the way the world worked, she figured. There were strange things like this everywhere, things she didn't understand. She just had to accept them and not ask questions.

Tala's eyes narrowed. That girl. The one who was walking so slowly had just slowed down beyond even the pace Tala was walking! This was an outrage! How dare she! I bet she wants to keep an eye on me. Slowing down once more, she started to veer off the path and into the bushes, taking care not to make too much noise. Nevertheless, as soon as she placed one foot off the path, the bushes rustled loudly and a few Pidgey burst out, squawking loudly. Tala froze. Crap. Stupid Pidgey. Why did they have to make so much noise?

Though practically everyone had to be staring at her - those birds had been loud - she gave up trying to be subtle and sprinted into the forest. I've had enough of this. Let them all willingly go to that stupid school. I'm not going along! She didn't even know where she was going - there was no way off the island, but even if someone came after her, she wasn't going back. There were too many people, too many strangers who wouldn't leave her alone.
