• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

neither simple, nor coherent.
Primary Village

You pass the lake where dozens of fishermen shoot the breeze. You follow the path through the flourishing forest where plenty of bug catchers yelp excitedly at their newfound friend. You stroll past the barker at the foothills asking if you'd like to try your luck at a rare find, a treasure hidden in the snow-capped mountains.

You've already found your hidden treasure.

You walk down a winding trail of sand and soil - barely a trail at all, its only presence noted by trodden blades of grass and the occasional stantler print - as the temperature draws colder and snow begins to appear on the trees and rocks, though it's not currently falling. You've come prepared, however, and pull your jacket from its loose tie around your waist. It won't be much longer.

You've long since passed any people. Nearby snorunt and doduo give little care as you wander past their homes, searching for your hidden treasure.

There: you've made it.

You are at the snowline. All around you, except for the clearing, the rocks and mountains glisten with slippery snow. The air has the fresh, clean scent of the mountains, accompanied by numerous perfume-like fragrances. The meadow lies covered with a blanket of flowers, unusual for this early in the spring. It is warm, even though surrounded by the late snows of winter. A large, carved stone lies flat on the ground. You feel that you are safe here.

A large, blossoming tree in the middle of the clearing appears to hold pokémon eggs in its boughs and glimmering stones on its twigs. A verdant-tressed woman clothed in a white gown leans against the tree, her eyes shut in calm consideration. She opens them at your approach, and smiles. You can't help but smile back; you feel as if under a serene spell.

"Welcome to Primary Village," she says. "My name is Erana. Here, baby pokémon of all types can be found in the eggs of my tree. They are fully grown, only awaiting their true partner to hatch. You might also find evolution stones or mechanical operations that could be used to evolve baby pokémon to their highest stage. Please take one, but I must ask for a three dollar donation in order to maintain the sanctity of the meadow."

You climb the natural footholds in the bark to reach a branch piercing the heavens. A purple eggshell piques your eye, and as you run your hand across its cool texture, it opens to reveal itself.

Grass King

You choose a middle bough, right above your head. It's hard to see, and you knock the egg off! Luckily, you quickly catch the turquoise egg, and it rustles and cracks.

Wynaut

Green

Watching Grass King's experience, you warily choose a low branch, so as not to accidentally break one. There's a number of colored shells to choose from, but while considering, an azure one with black spots rolls gently to the loamy soil and up to your feet.

Riolu

Blastoise

You walk around the roots of the large tree, inspecting your options. As you pass under a high branch, one pinkish-salmon egg nearly falls on your head. You jump back, frightened, but when you inspect the egg it appears unharmed. Until it punches out a hole to reveal...

Tyrogue

Green

You swing up a few meters from the ground and take a minute to enjoy the view. Above your head, you hear something rolling down from branch to branch. A peach-colored spherical egg plops from the budding twigs and rolls down to your lap. It wiggles and cracks open...

Nah, Green, I just misspelled your name. :x ... As 'Ruffledfeathers'. :x The igglybuff's yours.

Kai

You have an idea, and release your onix. You climb on her head using the head spike as a stirrup, and quickly get to a tall branch without needing to fuss with all that climbing. A prize awaits you at the top, and you cuddle the bright yellow egg close. The static that the pokémon uses to hatch itself makes your hair stand on end.

Pichu

Grass King

You note the approach Kai took and release your bulbasaur, asking him to lift you up with his vines. It's sort of heavy, though, and he can't... quite... You're swaying back and forth, and just manage to grab a yellow-green egg before falling back to earth. You and Bulbasaur are okay, though, and so is the egg... until it gains little tendrils of cracks on its surface.

Budew

Flora and Ashes

You uncover some eggs hidden in the snow closer to the rocks. Ooh, these 'eggs' are a shiny black obsidian; what pokémon could be hidden here? They're awfully heavy... but that just means a better pokémon, right? You'll just keep the 'egg' with you until it 'hatches'.

£3 is a tad over $3, but... we can just call it

3 |D The garden accepts your donation with delight.

You examine a low branch near the trunk. You notice a knothole leading inside the trunk, and carefully scoop out an aquamarine egg. Once it's safely in your hands, an antenna gingerly pokes through the shell.

Mantyke

(Items:eggs are 20:80, and there's a one in two hundred chance of the pokémon being shiny! :O)
