Open Return of the Pokemon - The Egg Holders

Jared looked over to where the Pokeballs were, as everyone took theirs. Jared walked over and took one, examining it.

"I remember playing with these things as a kid... So... You're a Yuniran, correct?"

The ball-shaped Pokemon just nodded, floating next to Jared.

"Okay, then. Male or female? One nod for male, two for female."

The small Pokemon nodded twice.

"Now you just need a name... How about Cheryl?"

The Pokemon let out an excited "Yu!", indicating it liked the name.

"Maybe you should go socialize with the other Pokemon? For all we know, we may be traveling with them." Jared then took a quick look around. "They're all gone? Well, maybe you should go in here for a while." Jared tapped the button, and a red flash enveloped the odd psychic Pokemon.

"Jared! What do you plan on doing?" Liza said walking over to him. She had seen his small ball pokemon. "That was a really cute pokemon!" she said seeing it was now in the pokeball.
---------
Nyra looked to see pretty much all of the pokemon in the balls. 'For some reason...I feel like somethings going to happen...something bad...' she thought looking down at her pokeball with Rose safely in it.

Jack took a seat on the floor and started to toss the pokeball up and down. "I think we should leave.." He said, his words echoing throughout the chamber. "If people come and see us, they will get suspicious of why where here." He looked up towards everyone around the room with a serious look on his face.

"It is better to leave." Nyra said turning towards where she came in. She thought she heard the noise of something hovering, but just shrugged it off. 'I still think something is going to happen...something terrible...' she thought.

The two copters flew around the source of where the light had come from. Leonard's helicopter and the other helicopter hovered just outside of the perimeter of Celestic while half of the soldiers that Leonard brought entered the city.

"Now, we need to wait," Leonard said, "our best course of action is most likely to..."

That's when the first few began to exit the ruins.

"Perfect. Helicopters two and four, shine the lights on that entrance."

There was a murmur of acknowledgment, and then the spotlights of both helicopters blasted down onto the pit that those people had exited from.

Leaning into the microphone, Leonard set the next broadcast to come directly from the speakers:

"Attention, please. You are the ones that the region has designated as the "egg-holders. This is Leonard Freeman, demanding that you surrender the eggs and pokemon inside of them to our Alliance."

He switched the frequency to General Kay's. "General, please instruct half of the regiments inside of Celestic to ready their weapons. Have them ready to open fire on either your or my mark."

He sat back. "Now, we wait for them to react."

A maniac smile appeared on Chase's face. Finally he would get help retrieving his old partners. He turned to his boss. "Hey, maybe I should get in there and flush the rest out." His foot started to tap the floor. This Joker wanted in on the action. Maybe this time ol' Leonard would let him have some fun.
----------
Jack quickly got off the floor and turned to Jared. "Jared, right? Is there some move a pokemon can use to get us out of here, or another exit maybe?" He remembered that The Black Market salesman from back where he used to live had said there was a way some pokemon could teleport. If there wasn't though, they were all done for. And there was no way he was giving up Motor...

David quickly ran from the hotel and towards the pit. He quickly turned and waved at the helicopter and turned back towards the exit. Bringing his radio to his mouth, he said. "Sir, it looks like they have Pokéballs. Maybe the eggs hatched?"

~~~
Cairo followed the others to the exit. "Hey, why'd we....stop?" he paused mid-sentance when he noticed the helicopters. "Oooh, dear."
"Um. From what I can recall from a long time ago, Drifloon cam fly." stated Stephanie. "Of course it's only big enough for me, so..."
Jack sighed and turned to Stephanie. "I don't think flying is gonna help in a cave..." Jack mumbled, he then turned towards the exit. Maybe I'll do what I do normally. Just run out like the street rat I am. agreeing with his own plan, he ran towards the exit of the cave and out into the clearing. Without a second thought he turned to his right and kept running, using the dust the helicopters had left for cover.
"They appear to have begun to move," Leonard said, ignoring Chase's request, "I'd give them more time to respond, but that would only create more chaos. Instead..." he leaned into the mike, "General Kay, helicopter two, you and your troops may open fire."
"But sir, isn't it a bit risky to have the copter open fire this early?" This question came from the pilot of helicopter two.
Leonard paused to think that over. "You're absolutely right, soldier. General Kay, you and ten of your soldiers must open fire now."
"Yes, sir." There was a pause, and then General Kay along with the tent troops that Leonard had instructed began to fire their weapons at the ruins and the people that had come out of them."
Liza heard the sound of shooting from the front of the cave. She had heard the helicoptor but didn't think anything of it. "They're firing at a bunch of teenagers?!" she said running for the entrance. "Sparkz, come out!" she said letting Sparkz out of the ball. "Sparkz, you have to listen well. Use your electric powers to zap the shots, and try to hit the helicoptor. Be very careful." Sparkz nodded and sent out showers of sparks at the bullets. Now Liza could see sparkz flying everywhere outside the ruins. "Be careful." she whispered.
Jared was just standing still, as if he was thinking.
Being deep in thought, he didn't hear Jack. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Liza.
"Sparkz, come out!"
"What is she doing?" Jared mumbled. He ran out of the cave, seeing the current situation.
"Wouldn't it have been better if-"
A few bullets scaped against the ground, digging into it right next to Jared.
"Whoa! Are they trying to kill us?!"
Jack slid behind the closest building of the town. "I gotta save the rest of them, They're kind of my friends.." Just then, Motor burst out of the pokeball in a bright light.
"Phee! Phanpy!" the small creature called out. It then proceeded to roll into a small sphere and roll around Jack. Some how he knew the move was known as roll out.
He snuck out from behind the building and saw the soldiers all standing in a line. "Motor! Can you use Rollout on those soldiers?" He asked desperately. Motor nodded in reply and rolled in that direction, knocking the soldiers of their feet.
Jack quickly dashed in underneath the dust.
"Get outta here!" He called to the others, with Motor returning to his side.
"Anastasia. I need your assistance!"
Hurling the ball forwards, it opens and the sphere of light resolves into the tiny hermit crab.
"Annie. Is your shell strong enough to resist that gunfire?"
The creature shakes her head - er, antennae - and looks quite scared of the situation.
"Hrm. Do you know Iron Defense? If so, try it."
Nodding, she closes her eyes and glows bright white, the light fading away to reveal a much shinier Ishizumai.
"Reckon it's tough enough now?"
She nods.
"If your father knew it, you should be able to use Rock Tomb, Stone Edge and Sandstorm, unless I'm sorely mistaken. Sound familiar?"
"Chk," she nods.
"Right. Get a Sandstorm going, then hit as many of the choppers as you can with Stone Edge or Rock Tomb. Aim for the rotors. Okay?"
Without responding, the Ishizumai spins around and begins calling on a Sandstorm. While weak, it does provide enough distraction for the tiny crab to scuttle over to underneath a helicopter and fire off a Rock Tomb. Jessica watches the whole thing from the sidelines, hoping it wasn't all a horrible mistake.
"Their resistance is... remarkable," Leonard noted, as the sandstorm and rollout stunned several of the soldiers, "General Kay, any casualties?"
"None, sir," Kay's voice replied, "just a little stunned. Might I suggest that we-"
"Spread the twenty soldiers into Pattern Sigma and continue to fire at the egg carriers. Tell them not to aim to kill, rather have them aim to cripple. If we can-"
A sudden tremor accompanied by a series of clanging noises struck the copter, and Leonard was thrown off his feet.
"Sir! Are you alright?"
Leonard got up, aching from the fall. "I'm alright, General. Change of plans. Only have fifteen of your men fire. Remain in Pattern Sigma, however."
He switched frequencies. "Helicopter number two, you may now commence bombing."
"Sir, I'm not entirely sure if that's-"
"Soldier, whatever the enemy has down there, it can attack us from below. General Kay's men are currently targeting the egg carriers, so it is up to you to stop whatever force they have down there. We don't need anything lethal, just something that can confuse them enough to have the rest of my plan work. Unless you want us to sit back while the enemy tears us down. Helicopter three, try and find a way to get rid of this sandstorm."
A pause. "No, sir. Commencing bombing."
Even as the helicopter dropped two of it tapered-cone shaped bombs, General Kay and his men changed their firing line to a more spread out pattern, so that they couldn't be taken out in one attack, and began to fire again. At the same time, another helicopter's lights grew bright enough to pierce through the sandstorm, which was obscuring much of the view from the pilots and Leonard.
Even as the bombs finish exploding, she has already pulled out the Pokéball and called back her tiny crab to prevent it being exploded. She calls it back out.
"Do you have the energy to thicken the Sandstorm and then Iron Defense several times?"
In response, the crab throws up an even thicker Sandstorm - through which the lights of the chopper are still visible - and then begins glowing and maintains this glow for almost a minute, at the end of which the shell is quite possibly harder than a diamond, or at least Jessica thinks so.
"Right. Now I'm geussing you won't be able to fell another helicopter - you're doing really well for a newly-hatched Pokémon, by the way - so does the technique 'Claw Sharpen' mean anything to you?"
She chitters and begins grinding her claws on her shell.
"Good. It would appear you know a variety of moves, which is always an advantage. So, um, X-Scissor? Poison Jab?"
"Chk CHK ckck."
"Good. See if you can incapacitate some of the soldiers."
Retreating into the shadows to avoid notice, Jessica wonders if she should be quite so calm.
((sorry for inactivity, well played while i've been gone.))
Blake shook his head and sent Blaze out again. "Blaze, if I'm right, you know ember. Can you use it on the line of soldiers so we can sneak away?"
The little candle nodded and floated over to the entrance where it spewed out a thick black smoke that enveloped the line of soldiers. Blake was about to step out of the cave when there was a sizeable explosion. "Dammit, are they trying to kill us? Blaze, use ember on those helicopters, aim for anywhere you can get a flame inside." Despite the thick sandstorm Blake heard a few of the embers strike metal.
----------------------------------------
Zack pulled his car over and loaded his pistol before running towards the fight scene. He raised his gun when suddenly a thick black smoke enveloped him. He began coughing uncontrolably. 'What is this? Where'd this smoke come from. And i thought the sandstorm was bad.' He covered his mouth and backed away
As the bullets hit the ground around him, Drake called out his pokemon
"Dratini, do you have anything that can hit that helicopter?"
"Tini." the little pokemon stared to the heavens, and began to glow. A few seconds later, a bunch of little pieces of rock struck the helicopter.
Jared looked up through the Sandstorm.
"This is... Intense... I don't know what my Pokemon can do, nor can it probably use many Psychic attacks yet, so... Let's try this first."
Once again, Jared put a finger up to his temple, but kept his eyes open. He searched for a bullet in good range. Just as one nearly hit him, it glowed, and stopped in midair. Jared thn searched for a target.
He saw one or two helicopters there, with people not reating, probably to evade the sandstorm.
"Your rest is over..."
The bullet was redirected to one of the windows on the helicopter, particlarly the front.
The glass had a decent sized crack on it.
"Ok, one bullet won't work..."
Suddenly, multiple bullets stopped in midair, and attacked the same helicopter, a little like an invisible machine gun.
