Open Return of the Pokemon - The Egg Holders

Jack then got another idea. He quickly remembered the list of moves back at his house and thought of an idea.
"Motor! Use defense curl!" He called out. Motor quickly curled up and got a thin green aura around him.
" I'm sorry I this hurts you buddy, but I'm gonna kick you up there and when you get close enough, slam into the copter." Motor roared with determination. Jack then swiftly kicked Motor in his ball form directly at the copter, which he proceeded to slam into, knocking it out of the way and hopefully damaging some systems. Motor fell to the ground still in a ball and bounce back into Jacks arms.

Liza saw the bullets go flying at the helicoptor and she called, "Sparkz! Come over here!" The Elekid swiftly came and stared at her. "Sparkz, I need you to try and zap down the other helicoptors!" the Elekid nodded and went towards the cave entrance shooting out lightning everywhere. She went over to Jared and whisperd, "Maybe you could do what you were doing with the bullets and do it with the other pokemons attacks. Direct them at the shooters and helicoptors."

"It may work... The thing is that I don't think I'd be able to control special attacks. For example, I wouldn't be able to control a flamethrower, but I would be able to..." Jared flashed a quick glance at the Phanpy. "Use that Phanpy as a repeated projectile?"

"This is helicopter three," Leonard's radio crackled, "we've sustained too much damage. We're going to have to pull back."

"Understood. Move backward and try and provide support for what comes next."

He switched channels. "Helicopters two and four, we need to make faster progress, so drop them now." he turned to the pilot. "You, too."

"Yes, sir."

"Drop them, now?" General Kay said, "Sir, do you plan to-"

"General, things are moving faster than I originally anticipated. I wanted to hem them in further, but with things moving as they are.... helicopter four, keep yours in reserve."

There was an affirmative "Sir" on the other side of the line.

"Now, then, we will have to make do with what we can. Drop them now!"

The pilot hit a switch, and Leonard imagined that helicopter two's pilot was doing the same. On the ground, Leonard could see General Kay giving the signal, and each of the soldiers simultaneously grabbed a mask from their pack and put it on their face.There was a clicking and shifting, as a weapon adjusted, and then a loud clack.

One bomb dropped from each of the two helicopters. When it hit the ground, it did not detonate in a fiery blast, but instead released a gas from the detonator. This gas was a fast sedative, that would at least affect one of the carriers, to the point that they would be able to be captured and brought back.

So who's it going to be, my enemy?

((River, I think if the plot is to make any progress, this will have to work.))

((Me!))

The gas had moved its way towards Jared, where he started to feel... Funny. He couldn't describe it. His eyes seemed to droop, eventually closing, as he fell to the ground.

Jack quickly called Motor back into his pokeball just as the bombs were dropped. He tried to get away, but was quickly enveloped in the gas. His legs seem to lose all feeling as he tumbled to the ground, becoming unconcious before everyone else due to his younger age.
--------
Chase revealed a wicked smile, half covered by his mask. He watched as the kids fell one by one. He had obviously made the right choice coming on this mission, he was having a blast. He still couldn't help but think that blond haired kid, the youngest looking one, was somehow familiar to him. Like he'd seen him in a photo or something. He quickly turned to his boss.

"Leonard, do you want me to retrieve some of the children?" He asked with a twing of amusement.

"Yes, and make sure that their pokemon are with them," Leonard said, "this entire mission would be a waste if we couldn't obtain those, either.

"General Kay, you and your soldiers make sure that nobody impedes our capture of the subdued carriers. Once we've confirmed their capture, we'll move out."

He then stared down at the collapsing carriers with anticipation. he couldn't believe how quickly his plans had progressed.

I need to plan a little further ahead next time... that was all that stopped me in this case.

David whipped out his small hospital-grade gas mask and threw it on, before moving carefully and slowly towards one of the carriers. The boy dropped not long after. I guess his immune system wasn't as strong as the others.
He lifted his radio and hoped the mask wouldn't muffle the sound to much. "Retrieving on of the carriers, sir." He grabbed one of the unconcious boys, and the Pokéball he had dropped, and carried them to the shrine about fifteen metres from the entrance. He lay the boy down and lifted his radio. "I have one of the carriers and his Pokéball, I'm at the town shrine. Waiting for extraction."

~~~
Cairo ran out, arms over his head to protect his face. He made it not quite five feet before he started feeling drowzy. "The...fog..sleeping...gas" He yawned and fell, his Pokéball landing close.
((There is no way to avoid the gas, The cave is blocking them from retreating and the gas is stopping them forward. there is a draft flowing into the cave, whether they try and avoid it or not it will work. Just saying, i enjoy strategies, this is one i cannot see a way out of. But then again i didn't really try.))
Blake raised his shirt to cover his mouth as the gas coverd the surrounding area. Blaze floated next to him, his blue flame casting a faint blue tinge on the cavern entrance. 'I can see no way out, the wind is puching the gas into the cave and the cave is blocked off from the outside except for this entrance.' He coughed a bit and felt his legs give out beneath him. A figure moved through the gas towards him but Blake was too tired to even attempt to move. Blaze returned to its ball in a flash of light and Blake felt himself being lifted off the ground.
---------------------------------------------
Zack wandered through the gas, he had put on his gasmask after he arrived. Close by a figure fell to the ground and a blue light was left floating for a second before it vanished in an all too familiar flash of life. Zach walked over and the boy was left unconscious on the ground. With his right arm he slung the black haired teen over his shoulder and with his free hand scooped up the pokeball that sat on the ground and placed it in his pocket. He pulled up his radar and spoke clearly into it, "Leonard, I have found one of the Egg Holders. Good call with the gas bomb."
Chase grabbed a symetrical mask that was a mirror image of his mask and put it on, snapping it into place with the other piece. He quickly jumped off the helicopter and landed on the ground with a roll. He slowly looked around the area.Darn, some else must've retrieved the youngster.With a sigh, he turned to the next available kid a grabbed him. "Sorry bud. Once we get the pokemon out, we'll let you go like nothing happened."He whisperedd into his ear. The Black Joker quickly pulled out his walkie talkie. "Hey boss, want me to grab another copter home?"
Two... no, three. Possibly four. It's enough.
He switched to a channel that incorporated all of the soldiers. "What we have is enough. Let's move out; leave the others be."
"Are you sure, sir?" General Kay asked, "If we take them all here, we could-"
"General, that's an order."
A pause. "Yes, sir. Moving out, then."
The soldiers began to pull back, carrying the unconscious ones that they'd already grabbed with them.
It will be enough... to entice the others to come after them. It wouldn't be much of a challenge if we took them all in one fell swoop.
He nodded to the pilot, who also began to pull away, and flew toward the base.
((That should solve most of the issues that I caused.))
((Sorry haven't been able to get on lately.))
Liza felt her eyes get droopy and moved back quickly into the cave calling Sparkz to her. "In you go Sparkz..." she said putting him in the pokeball. Uh...I saw Jared' but I don't know what to do...I saw him drop and so did that Jack kid... Liza thought before she fell unconcious with the pokeball in gripped tightly in her hand.
-------------
Nyra had stuffed the pokeball in her pocket before she fell unconcious inside the cave.
David picked the boy up again. "We arn't getting a lift. Oh well, it's only a half hour walk to where I parked...at night...in the fog....aw who gives a damn." He set off at a lopsided jog towards his car.
~~~

When he finally arrived outside the base in Hearthome, the helecopters were already there. He got out, grabbed the boy from the back seat, made sure he had the Pokéball and closed and locked the car doors. David walked through the reception, held up his badge and headed into his office, which was on the ground floor. He put the boy on his bed and picked up his mobile. He quickly texted Leonard;

What should I do with the boy?

With a sigh from Chase, he immediately jumped onto one of the helicopters nearby and directed the pilot towards the home base. Chase still couldn't remember where he saw that boy before. I don't get it! Usually I'm really good with faces... Now... If only.. No. Chase thought, finally realizing where he saw that boy before. The part of the mask he put on fell off and shattered on the ground. "Jack..." He pulled a small little golden object out of his pocket and opened it, revealing his parents with a small, blond kid in front of them. The kid he didn't want to face due to that kid never having pokemon. He then looked down at the kid with the rough, brown hair on the floor and sighed. "Looks like fate has tied me to my little brother..." He mumbled just as the chopper landed. Quickly, he threw the kid over his shoulder and headed in the direction of the base.

Leonard looked down at the message. He responded with the following:

Place his pokemon, or whatever is carrying it, in the lab, and then bring him to a heavily guarded, but decently furnished room. Instruct any that arrive after receiving this message to do so as well. If he wakes up, before I arrive, inform him that he is going to be treated as a guest as long as he's here.

The helicopter reached the base, and slowly began to land in the hangar. The moment it touched down, Leonard jumped out, and strode over to his office.

There will be an inevitable rescue attack on this base, and I must be ready for that. I can't strategize with General Kay until he gets back, and I've yet to see Chase anywhere...

What should my next move be? The first stage is obvious, but after that... I've no idea what could happen.

David nodded at the message. He took the boy to one of the guest rooms on the third floor, then headed back to the reception. He leaned on the counter. "Hey, boss wants this down at the lab." He tossed the receptionist the Pokéball. "If anyone else comes through with an egg-carrier, the Pokémon go to the lab, and the carriers to the guest rooms. I'm off to get some dinner. Bye now!" And with that, he left the building towards and headed towards the noodle shack.

Zack stepped into the Base in Hearthrome and the Receptionsit spoke up from the desk, "Im to tell you that the Pokeballs are to go down to the Lab and the boy is to go up to the guest rooms." Zack nodded and began up the stairs to the guest rooms.
He set the boy down on one of the beds and started down the stairs to the labs.

After dropping the pokeball at the lab he headed back up to the room to keep an eye on the boy, it wouldn't help for him to leave before Leonard wished it. He set himself down in the chair in the corner and half-closed his eyes, keeping watch.

Quite a while later, Jessica finally wakes up from the effects of the gas. Considering her good fortune in having been in a small, shadowed area and thus having gone unnoticed, she turns to the rest of the now-Pokémon-carriers, who have also just woken up and are looking around blearily.
Once everyone is awake and coherent, she says, "they're expecting us to go after them, of course. They know we won't want to let the other egg carriers - Pokémon carriers - be captured, to say nothing of their Pokémon. But, of course, that's precisely what we have to do."
Looking around the group, she sees the one with the psychic-type.
"You, it's Jared isn't it? You have a Yuniran. A psychic-type. If anything can track our friends, that can. Can it use its Telekinesis?"
While saying this, she was thinking of how the Yuniran probably had Magic Guard, not Dustproof, since it didn't protect them against the sleeping gas... unless the Yuniran was too weak to protect so many people, or the fog didn't count as a weather element, or...
She forces herself to focus.

Jared still felt a bit woozy, but stood up shakily.

"Yeah, I think..." Jared released his Yuniran.

"Hey, Cheryl, remember those other people in the cave?" The Yuniran let out a nod, looking rather silly.

"Okay... Think you can use your Telekinesis to find them, or is it not strong enough?"

Cheryl took a quick look at the people around, and seemed to be focusing. However, the little green blob didn't have enought power to locate them. She gave a look of worriness.

"This may be harder than we thought. Cheryl doesn't have the power to locate them, probably because of their distance."
