• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

You can catch barboaches right outside of Meteorite Falls and right next to the Winstrate house.

I'm aware, but It'll be easier to train a Whiscash in Victory road than a Barboach on Route 119 (where I'll be after getting the Good Rod, which I'll need to catch one)

Double-post, eep. Well it's an update, so it should be allowed...

Beat Norman, and everybody is now one level higher, same movesets (except Marshtomp has Surf instead of Water Gun). But it was the most epic battle ever. Lioone vs. Slaking to start off. With a fair few Strengths and the help of a Super Potion and a Chesto Berry I knock it out, but Linoone has next to no health left.

He sends out his stronger Slaking, I send in Marshtomp. First Mud Shot misses, second hits, but on the third turn a Facade takes me out. I think I've lost here, so I send out Trapinch for lulz. Sand Attack x6, Sand Tomb, Faint Attack Spam, Sand Tomb, Faint Attack Spam, etc. Until I faint. But Trapinch did AMAZING, as the Slaking could do nothing. It knew Faint Attack, but for some reason it just Spammed Focus Punch, all of which failed. It then gets me on the first Facade, even with Sand Attacks :/ I send out Linoone and revive Trapinch, healing him as well. Send Trap back out, same as before (minus the Sand Attacks) and KO's the Slaking.

Next up is Vigoroth. I Revive both Marshtomp and Linoone, then let Trapinch faint. I send in Linoone and heal up Marsh before I get in one last Strength. Linoone faints, and I send in Marshtomp to clean up with Mud Shot. All-in-all, a ridiculously fun battle. Now I'm off to the water routes from Petalburg-Dewford-Slateport to train.

tl;dr: My Trapinch did amazingly well, beat Norman, going to train
