• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed Sinnoh Folk Story 2

Arkra felt slightly guilty for not thanking Shana for the ride and for sounding like a bit of a jerk with her impatience. After a while, she finally decided to say something.

"Thanks, um, for giving me a ride..."

Lyle drifted after Shana, letting himself just phase through any obstacles. Now that he wasn't weighed down, he was truly free. He paid little attention to anyone he might pass through, too; any of those would feel coldness seeping through them where their bodies overlapped, and quite tingly.

Shana glances over her shoulder at her, smiling a bit.

"No problem, I did offer"

She then leans down her head and sniffs the ground a bit"

"....old wood...it's faint, but it's there"

She continues to go through the thicket, scanning her surroundings as she goes. She then looks up at the tree tops, finding it hard to see the sky now that they were under the leaves of the trees.

"Buzz! Can you still hear me?"

Mareena was doing her best to keep up with Shana, he much shorter legs having to work hard to keep up.

>You run fast!< She called, leaping gracefully beside the dog.

Shana chuckles as she looks down at Mareena. She then sniffs the air again, a wicked grin spreading across her face.

"The smell of anceint wood is stronger...were going the right way!"

She yells up to the tree tops, hoping that Buzz can still hear her.

"Buzz, do you see anything yet!"

At top speed, gengar could actually move faster than arcanine, but matching Shana's speed over a longer period of time was quite difficult. It would have been impossible on open space, but Lyle didn't have the problem of having to avoid obstacles while Shana did. He had to admit, he was impressed. That didn't mean Shana was a good leader, but she was good at travelling.

Whatever difference that made. Since other pokemon were going to be left behind if she moved her fastest, being too fast wasn't necessarily a good thing.

Shana could find this "ancient wood" easily too, while Lyle could barely figure out the difference. That, at least, was important.

Bob had lots more strength than smell, so he couldn't pick up the scent of any ancient wood. Holding Buzz's bag behind him, Bob leaped over a tangle of thorns and steadied himself with his other three arms. >I sure hope Celebi is okay until we get there.<

Luna turned into her Umbreon momentarily and smelled the ground and air. "I can pick up a faint scent too, but it's not much."

"No, no nothing at all!!!" shouted Buzz looking around the forest. "Wait, wait I see somthing!!! Yes, it's old trees!!! I see them next to a large lake!!!" Shouted Buzz, flying to ground

Luna ran as fast as she could behind the group, but she was still slow. She stopped to rest, but immediately got back up in human form and ran faster.

"Good work Buzz!"

She looks over at the rest of the gang, then gives him a grin.

"You heard him, It's up ahead! Get the lead out and catch up"

She starts to run faster, careful of low branches and vine so her passenger doesn't it hanged. She moves swiftly, the smell of ancient wood and water getting stronger by every step. Finally she emerges into a clearing, a sizeable lake spreading out infront of her. She looks around, then looks up at Arkra.

"You may transfrom now....it would be wise too, now that we are here"

Shana looks over at Luna, noting that she looks a tad tired. She walks over to her, nudgeing her lightly with her paw.

"Are you alright, Luna?...did I go to fast for everybody?"

Bob ran faster, and emerged into a lake. Still carrying Buzz's bag, he looked around. The water was nearly crystal clear. >Now where's Celebi?<

Lyle easily sped up to match Shana's speed, but by the time she stopped, he'd expended a lot of energy. Of course, it wasn't as obvious with other pokemon or people, as he didn't have an oxygen debt to pay. Instead, he merely floated low over the ground, hardly able to float any longer. Unable to retain his incorporeal form, he landed on his feet somewhat dizzily, at the edge of the lake.

Then, deciding that there was no reason not to, he fell into the shallows, face-first.

Thorn moaned, "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr," and jumped off Buzz's back into the lack, resurfacing as a Gyarados.

Arkra stumbled off of Shana's back, nearly tripping and falling. The trek through the forest was a bit rough, she had many twigs sticking out of her hair. She uttered another "Thank you" to the Arcanine, put down Lyle's bag, and then put on her pelt.

She felt a rush as she transformed. Darkness encased her, but she could feel her hands being shaped into paws, her face into a snout, the tail inching outwards, ears gradually becoming pointed.

The darkness was lifted when the transformation finished and where Arkra was now stood a Poochyena. She grinned, she hadn't had a chance to transform in a long time, it felt odd, yet good. Her vision was slightly worse, but she could smell a whole rainbow of new scents which she hadn't picked up on as a human.

"It's been a while..."
