Open Strike Of the Dark Legion

BlackTitress

Say Hello to a very special guy...
OOC here
-------

As Titress floated through the streets of the Strange City, she was going through her plans. The plans this Trump Card were foiling. In fact, she had to spend the majority of her time trying to find the base.

So far, informants have narrowed it down to this dark city, nut finding the actual position was difficult. Stealth was 100% neccesary in this city when you were an "enemy"... It did help her skin was black and slightly transparent.

As the moon shone above the sky, her chances of finding them became thinner and thinner. She needed to be gone by the morning, or else she'd be caught.

She slowly pulled out a small, black device and pressed a button.

"Attention all Leaders, status report." She spoke into it. Knowing her Leaders position was important, in case she wanted to prepare an ambush.

Meanwhile, Kari sat in her cell/room, nibbling on her dinner of......leaves. She was used to being lonely, but not like this. She got up, and looked through a small peephole, and sighed.

There was no way out.

Argotem was slowly stalking around the alleys in the strange City when a faint crackling came from a small black device on his hip.
"Attention all Leaders, status report." it relayed. Titress. Oh the day when I overthrow her, he thought, ever careful to keep these things to himself.
"I can't seem to find anything in the alleys, Titress. I'll look elsewhere. I'll try to keep you posted, but I don't get a lot of coverage due to the height of the buildings." He responded to her, trying to sound like he cared. Argotem continued to float down the alleys, using his Fire Punch as a torch.
--------------

Bes slammed another book onto the table in his study. there has t be a way for me to become more powerful than him, Bes thought as he furiously flipped through the pages of his Book of Devastating Techniques, volume III. Disappointed again, he turned to the next volume. This book was newer, so he was uncertain of its value. Desperate, he looked through it anyway. He flipped to a random page, and saw what he had so fervently been looking for. Yes! he thought. That'll be perfect.

Ugly flew over the city silently, observing the buildings and landmarks from a birds-eye view. The city was near empty, it being the middle of the night. However, she could spot a few travelers passing here and there, scurrying from one place to another, most of those probably getting home after work or something similar.

However, one harder-to-spot lurker didn't look they were heading anywhere at all.
Examing alleys and floating by streets, that pokemon showed no signs of stopping or actually reaching a destination. Perhaps that was Titress?

Her communicator buzzed, the small, black headset with a mouthpiece vibrating on her head and ringing in her ears. Her leader spoke, saying, "Attention all Leaders, status report."

The beautifly looked down, seeing the mysterious figure she was watching speak into what might have been a communicator. It was her leader.

"Beauty, reporting in," she replied cordially. "I am doing an aerial survey of the area. There are few people on the road, so you should be good. I appear to be right above you, so please give me a sign to go by. Perhaps after that we may better plan our scouting."

((Also, not to offend you Bes, but we're only supposed to have four moves and you didn't list fire punch as one of them. Only shadow punch.))

Glimmer stalked through the dark streets of the Strange City, his colors blending with the shadows around him, hiding him. His luminescent dark blue eyes glowed faintly in the darkness as he looked around. He wrinkled his nose at the disgusting stench of garbage.

"Attention all Leaders, status report."

Glimmer ignored the call from his superior, Titress, seeing as he wasn't a Leader. Oh, the joys of being an underling. He let out a wry laugh, swallowed up in the shadows. Prowling through the night, he wondered when they'd finish their objective already. He was getting bored.

Ember was perched atop a windowsill about seven stories up. She was gazing into the uninhabited room, scanning for valuables. Sure, that's specifically what Titress told her not to do, but oh well.

She finally set her eyes upon a pair of binoculars. Perfect. Maybe after she'd found the Trump Card headquarters, then she just might get promoted to be a Leader!

The black headset crackled and spoke a message clearly. "Attention all Leaders, status report."

"Ember reporting. I know I'm not a Leader, but I don't care. Currently sitting on a seventh floor windowsill. Report over," she hissed into the microphone.

She then Night Slashed the window into two shards, which then shattered as they fell. Ember then leapt inside, making no noise.

Ember grabbed the binoculars and hopped back onto the windowsill, even though it was coated in shards of glass.

Slipping the binoculars around her neck, she climbed up another floor to the roof.

Ember then surveyed the Strange City for evidence of the Trump Card headquarters.

Titress sighed. At least everyone was there, except for Krika, but he was still supposed to be leading a raid of the Deep Forest...

Titress looked up, the moon was farther down, but the sun shouldn't rise for another few hours. Despite them being her fellow leaders, she felt some, especially Argotem, would attempt to betray her.. But no matter. She would have to give him the benefit of a doubt.

Titress quickly dashed across the street and looked up towards the sky yet again, being extremely cautious, but she did catch a glimpse of Ugly, or Beauty as she preferred. One thing she did enjoy about her fellow leaders were that they weren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

She took out the black device again. "Return to base in an hour. Or when the sun comes up. Whichever comes first." She spoke into it, then continued down the small alleyway, where there should be a small door into the building from the back. Hopefully, the Trump Card would be located underneath. But back up would be useful.

"Beauty, come to my position."

((Also, not to offend you Bes, but we're only supposed to have four moves and you didn't list fire punch as one of them. Only shadow punch.))

((That 'twas Argotem, mahdear. Check again.))

EDIT!: ((Oh, whoops, it would appear I changed it. Changing back.))

As Argotem continued to stalk the alleys, his communicator buzzed again. Titress, he assumed.

"Return to base in an hour. Or when the sun comes up. Whichever comes first." He was right. Oh how he resented her. He was so much more powerful, and Argotem knew these things, but he had to do her bidding. He chose not to respond, as this was directed towards everyone on the mission, and not him, specifically. Perhaps he could enact his plan soon... No. Not yet, he thought, the time is not right. Soon, though. Argotem looked to the sky, and saw that an hour would come before sunup. But, maybe he couldn't tell the difference...

Suddenly, another transmission came through. These communicators couldn't be set to not include any one other, after all.

"Beauty, come to my position."

What did Titress want with Ugly, that Arceusforsaken... thing? Surely she hasn't found the Trump Card base? And if Titress or Ugly had, why wasn't I paged? Argotem was fuming. He could easily take out all of those... those... dogooders by himself. A seemingly innocent Lotad walked by him then, and Argotem snatched him up.

"You! Do you know where the Trump Card base is?" Argotem said to the Lotad, whom underneath there was now a puddle forming.

"I... I... you're not going to hurt anyone, are you?" the Lotad was crying.

"Not if I get the information I want. Now. Do you, or do you not, know where the Trump Card Base is?" Argotem could feel the little Lotad squirm in his grasp.

"No!... I'm sorry, mister, but I don't even know what you're talking about. Please don't hurt me!" how could Argotem hurt this helpless little creature? Easily. He slammed the Lotad into the ground, then smashed it with his club.

"You shouldn't be out so late, little kid. Dangerous people are around." Argotem said before floating off, cackling.

Kari nibbles on the leaves some more, then sits back.
Suddenly, she starts to feel dizzy and sleepy.
Then she got knocked out from the drug-laced leaves.

Titress ran up and down the street quickly, looking up at Beauty and telling the other leaders to return to base in an hour. Then, she floated away and mostly out of sight, into a dark alley.

Her communicator buzzed once more and her leader called for her to come to her position. "Roger that. Heading down," the beautifly replied, nodding and confirming her action. She started to descend, the gentle breeze flowing through her wings and calming her. It was a wonderful time to fly, her fairly new dark typing awakening her and helping her see in the wonderful darkness. Perhaps she had a few more connections to dustox than she thought, but Beauty did not think about this.

She flew only about five feet above ground level, keeping closer to the terrain so that she may communicate with Titress better. It's hard to hold up a conversation with someone ten feet above you, you know.

The dark type turned and flew into the alley, greeting her leader with a polite smile. "Hello, Titress," she said conversationally, looking at the door to which the alleyway led. "Is that the base?"

Krika, flying aimlessly through the Grand Rockies, was lost in thought.

We have been going at this plan for some time... it has cost us so many resources just for what? Does Titress really think that we'll get what we want through this... not too mention that taking the children is only encouraging the enemy to move against us. I might have to make another move in their favor at this rate...

No. Not yet. I've been very lenient in my movements at this stage... I have to play the role that's been dealt to me for a little while longer now...

"Attention all Leaders, status report."

"Ah, speak of the devil," Krika growled under his breath. He then replied: "This is Krika. I'm currently in flight above the Grand Rockies."

What, I wonder, will you have planned for us now?

Deep in a cave in the Shadowed Wasteland, Blade was training. He was repeatedly slashing at a tall, jagged rock with his blades, sharpening them in the process.

As he trained, he thought wondered who would come first.

I've asked both the Trump Card and the Dark Legion if they wanted my help. I don't really want to get caught up in the middle of a war, but I have no choice right now. I want to get out of this dump. Besides, I've been pretty bored lately.

Blade stoped training and sat down. It was going to be a long wait.

Maruu was sitting under the shadow of a roof when he had first heard the sounds of Ugly's wings up above. He hadn't been planning on a scouting at this hour but figured it would be best if it was just himself left on lookout. It had appeared that the Dark Legion was closing in on a location not too far from his own. Some alley a few rooftops away...

Ha, not even close. He smirked, whisking his tail before eating a handful of salted seeds.

However, Maruu was excited to hear Titress' voice. The founder was on the prowl and this was another chance to investigate the whereabouts of the children.

Maruu held up his wrist to speak into a radio like device, "Trump Card, do you copy? Dark Legion is out looking for HQ. They don't seem to be in the right direction but Titress has closed in on a location. Try not to jump out and do anything...stupid." The Raichu muttered wondering where they were now. Earlier on they had been searching for evidence as to where the children were hidden but he wasn't sure if they had gone back to the base.

In a hurry, Maruu scurried closer not expecting the Beautifly to have been accompanying her. He rolled his eyes as he figured some maneuver before leaping onto the roof beside the alley they were near ready to invade.

"Ah.. Good." Titress said as the strange Beautifly flew towards her. "As for your question, I'm not sure, but in my opinion, the best place to hide something is somewhere no one would even bother to look, like the end of an alley." She hovered a few feet above the ground. "Plus, you may notice this is one of the few alleys with a door."

With a final glance, one thought did pop into her head, that it all seemed almost too easy, as well as the feeling of being watched.

"Beauty, do me a favor and fly up again to scout." She asked her fellow leader. Better to be safe than sorry...

Maruu's ear twitched, listening to them speak. Titress' train of thought wasn't half bad...but still, it was wrong. He was tempted to look down at them, never having been this close to her before but his reluctant instinct was right for in that moment she had asked the winged companion to take flight once more.

Ah, of course it couldn't be as simple as watching. Well then, I'll be ready and waiting. One of his strong paws bawled up into a fist as he ducked behind a shadow, awaiting the arrival of the Beautifly.

Gazing around, Ember's eyes finally caught a peculiar sight. A Raichu lurking in the shadows..? Maybe this would be the thing to promote her to Leader!

She held the microphone steady as she whispered into it.

"Attention, Titress, there is a Raichu on the roof nearby where you are about to ambush."

Anju was walking around the alleyways as the message was sent out. So, don't do anything stupid? Alright then. Walking in these alleys aren't the brightest ideas. She jumped up onto a window ledge and climbed onto the roof, after going up a few more.

She around her. Well, it seemed nothing was around her. The Kirlia brushed off any dirt that had gotten on her "dress". Guess I have to wait for someone else to do something...

Bes was in the Deep forest now, practicing his new move in a secluded glade. He had taken his communicator with him, just to be safe. He wasn't certain he was proficient with it just yet, which he needed to be for his plan to work. It's for the good of the Dark Legion, he kept pushing himself You must defeat him...

Just then, his communicator buzzed.

"Return to base in an hour. Or when the sun comes up. Whichever comes first." Titress! Bes had completely forgotten about their mission tonight... Titress didn't know about his plan, as it involved the destruction of an important Dark Legion member, and he wasn't sure she'd go for it. I don't have the energy to teleport right now... if I want to get back to the castle before they do, I'll have to go now. Dang, I wanted to work on this more... Bes fled the scene anyway, to ensure his alibi was intact.

The glade Bes left was not the same glade he came to.

This glade was frozen.

Brendon jumped across the rooftops and through windows of the city. He entered a small building, exited through the first story window, and stopped to rest behind a trash can. The radio device on his right paw began to crackle, and Maruu's voice came out.

"Trump Card, do you copy? Dark Legion is out looking for HQ. They don't seem to be in the right direction but Titress has closed in on a location. Try not to jump out and do anything...stupid."

Fair enough, Brendon thought to himself. Now what am I supposed to do in the meantime?

He walked around the alleyways, and heard a noise above him. He saw a darkish form climbing onto the roof of a nearby building.

Better go check that out. Could be Dark legion, or possibly just a Murkrow.

Brendon jumped up the side of the building, and found himself face-to-face with Anju.

"Oh. Hello." he said to her.

Kari woke up groggily, cursing under her heavy breath.

She Headbutted the wall multiple times, but it didn't hurt, because she was a Steel type.

"Help! Anyone? Please?"
