Open The Hunt for The Ceus Stone

Exo-Raikou

It's over. I'm sorry, but it's over.
Before the Original One took to eternal slumber, it is said that he shed a small, red tear.

That tear began to grow, and as it grew, it turned solid. The tear fell into the depths of endless time and space. It fell, falling through many realities of many possibilities, until it had all but vanished from existence...

That is how the Ceus Stone began...

Dark wisps of energy trailed up into the void where the pokemon found himself. He looked around, expecting to see someone... or something, and was rewarded with the appearance of a small, withered-looking being.

"You have come. Of course you have. You were the one I dispatched to pick up the pieces of the last appearance of our target."

The pokemon remained silent. It was customary that those in the presence of this being not speak unless asked to.

"For far too long we have waited for the Stone to appear, or to have someone plan to obtain it, before making our move. That ends now. We must take this matter into our own hands.

"That is why I have asked you here. This is what I require of you: search out pokemon who would want to willingly Hunt for The Stone. Spread rumors of its appearance if you must. Just ensure that enough pokemon are found who can hunt for the Stone. Can that be done?"

the pokemon hesitated for a moment before saying: "Of course, My Lady."

"Good. Now go."

The pokemon turned around. There was a bright flash of light, and when it cleared, the void was empty once more.

The being floated in that void for a long moment. At last she spoke again:

"I must ensure that one of mine reaches the stone. Valyud! Come to me!"

Another flash of light, and another pokemon appeared.

"Go through a time portal. Choose the timing as the exact moment another pokemon touches the Ceus Stone."

The pokemon nodded, and there was a distorted flash of light. When the glare faded, Valyud was gone.

"I now have two of mine searching for the Stone. I cannot fail. The Ceus Stone
must be found... before its countdown ends..."

The Ceus Stone: An ancient crimson gem that is said to be the key to Ultimate Power. Legend has it that the Ceus Stone was Arceus' final mark upon this world before he took to endless sleep. Whether or not he did this on purpose has yet to be known... by the common pokemon.

What is known about the Ceus Stone is that it is an amplifier of Elemental Energy. One who is in contact with the Stone has their attacks strengthened to the point where they cannot be struck. Everyone who has heard of the Ceus Stone knows this.

Fewer know how it is capable of doing so, however. Those who do know that the Ceus Stone absorbs Elemental Energy from its surroundings; whether they are part of the environment or pokemon who are not holding the Stone doesn't matter. The Ceus Stone absorbs slowly and subtly; by the time the pokemon has realized their power was being absorbed, it would be too late.

And only a handful of pokemon know of the Ceus Stone's final, most terrible secret. This secret is the true reason of its creation. A secret that threatens to undo everything Arceus has done...

Word that the Stone was spotted has traveled quickly. Pokemon all over the known world are preparing themselves to hunt for the Stone, some with the intent to use it for themselves, and others who intend to protect it from evil.

And there are others still with even darker motives, motives based around the final secret of the Stone...

The Land
This is Hoenn before it became the populous land that it is. Many of the cities do not currently exist; the land is currently untamed wilderness; where cities were, there are now swamps, mountainous areas, and even canyons.. The only cities that do exist are Rustboro and Lilycove; though they are right now small villages.

Rules
All regular RP rules apply (no godmodding, etc.)
Any chatspeak will result in dismissal form the RP
Alliances between characters ARE allowed (this is a treasure hunt, after all. It's just a treasure hunt with extremely high stakes.)
We will reach the Ceus Stone when I decide the time is right. Obviously, your character cannot instantly find the Stone.
We'll probably start at one end of the region where this RP takes place.
A maximum of two characters is allowed
Have fun. If not, "the being" will find you.

The SE has reservational intent~ Please. I already know the characters I'm to use, as I have a tendency to create characters beforehand and then slip them into fitting RPs (imagine it as a semi-crowded waiting room that rarely gets called on), so if I take longer than I should that's me being a lazy bum and so you shouldn't hesitate to bug me. :D

Or just 'Reserve, please.'

I do that all the time. Characters such as Fero, Zrantox, heck, even Mecha Sonic are all in the "waiting room" as you call it.

Name: Ponos
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Species: Gardevoir
Appearance: Ponos can't see with his right eye, and he therefor always keeps it closed. On the other side, there goes a vertical black under his left eye, looking a bit like a tear.
Personality: Ponos is calm, and can seem depressed, but it's not as bad as it usually seems, and he's surprisingly prone to have laughing fits. But he is also very proud of himself.
History: Ever since he was young, Ponos felt that he was looked down upon, and for someone like him, that is rather damn annoying, and he always felt that he needed to do something big to prove himself. And when he heard of the Ceus stone, he thought that it was now his time to shine.
Other: Ponos is a Greek god of sorrow, by the way.

Hey, activity. :D Anyway, forms are finished.

Name: Ruby
Age: 28 (cat years)
Gender: Female
Appearance: An otherwise normal Delcatty, where most her species would have purple fur, she has red, thus making her a "shiny." Living up to this title, her radiant fur occasionally sparkles like a gem.
Species: Delcatty
Personality: Ruby is quite the finicky feline; vain as can be, she constantly grooms herself, and she hates to get dirty. Thus, she always leaves fighting to her lesser servants unless there is no other option. She has an obsession with treasure, jewels most of all, and she gets what she wants by any means necessary. She has never matured from her spoiled and childish mentality, and it's rumored that this may be due to a mental disorder. She is a bit 'off the latch,' anyway. Despite this, she has legions of followers inherited from her ancestors, and few question her authority.
History: Ruby comes from a long line of band leaders, and with the recent death of her parents, she is the youngest to carry the torch, having no siblings. "Band" being of thieves. The band consists entirely of feline Pokemon, numbering around one hundred, and is dedicated to the pursuit of fortune, in the form of treasure. So long as it's shiny, anyway. Coins, metals, precious gems. Ruby fancies the latter most of all, as aforementioned. Ever since her days as a kitten, she would overhear her parents speak of a legendary stone. So beautiful it was, this enigmatic red mineral. Her parents had focused solely on finding that stone--the "Ceus Stone," as it was called--in order to obtain ultimate power and wealth. Of course, they were never able to fufil their life's dream before it ended. Ruby was mystified by the stories of this Ceus Stone, this ancient treasure that could grant one such godly power, trying to find out all she could about it so that when the time came, she would successfully track it down and own the gem of the universe; and now that time has come.

Name: Gladys (the Fourth)
Age: 105 (cat years)
Gender: Male
Appearance: An old, battle-scarred Espeon; unkept fur, one side of his forked-tail bitten clean off, several nicks in both ears, a slight limp. The gem in his forehead is obsidian rather than ruby, and his pelt is an extremely pale purple, almost gray.
Species: Espeon
Personality: Two words can sum up his entire life and nature: blind loyalty. His service going back generations, he never questions an order, and has kept this reputation all throughout his long years as a servant. In contrast to his rough appearance, he is respectful not just to his mistress, but to all living things, his enemies included. Though he has a refined manner, he is plagued with inferiority-complex, always trying to conceal any individuality and self-thought. On top of that, he suffers from chronic depression. While some would consider his occupation incredibly low, he finds it to be a noble calling with all the hardship he must silently endure, firmly believing that he is doing the right thing by serving faithfully, no matter the cause.
History: Gladys is Ruby's chief intelligence and bodyguard; though now old and frail, his mind has not dulled, and he can still do battle using psychic power. He is the fourth Gladys to serve the band, being raised for that purpose. He has a mate and a son of his name, but he never sees them, as he puts his mistress before his family. For that same reason, he has poor hygiene, deciding that he is too old to be worth taking care of instead of Mistress. Despite his high position, he is just another underling, almost devoid of individuality.

On the subject of acceptance (thank you), how many members/characters do we need for the RP to start? That was one question I forgot to ask. :P

I'm not entirely sure. With the reservations, there'd be a maximum of eight. Eight WOULD be enough, but I would like more than four members.

For now, let's say seven would be enough to start, even though I'll be shooting for more.

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to edit MG onto the list. That's fixed now.

Okie-dokie.

Name: Unit G-133 (Glee)
Age: 15 years since production date.
Gender: Currently set on 'Male'.
Species: Porygon2

Appearance: Glee is a Mark-2 Porygon Model®, upgraded through non-illicit, completely legal, official Silph Co. offices. Thusly, he is the image of a perfect Porygon2, with no coloration bugs or configuration glitches. His voice is set on 'Classic', which is to say he speaks in a voice reminiscent of an answering machine's default message.

Personality: Glee puts out a feeling of blandness and normality, never acting rashly. He is quite analytical, and almost always rolls with the odds. Of course, if his Bonding Protocol® is activated by a number of positive reactions to his presence, Glee will protect those with whom he has bonded. He also has an irritating Auto-Correct® function, causing the Porygon-Z to quickly fix anyone's mistakes in logic or similar thought processes.

History: Glee was manufactured, booted up, evolved, and sold to a sickly rich boy. Glee's Bonding Protocol® was never activated by the human, who was distant and treated Glee like an object or a toy. A shipping mistake and a near-crash of a plane led to the Mark-2 being dumped in the wilderness of Hoenn. Craving an upgrade, the Porygon2 has taken up the search, deeming the object to be both worth the effort of finding and worthy as an upgrade.

Other: The leetyness of his name is fine since he's a Porygon, right?

That name could only work with a Porygon family character. Accepted.

Now then, for the first of my two:

Name: Malum
Age: 3100
Gender: Unknown, but will be referred to as male
Appearance: He looks like the average, everyday Bronzong (bell shaped wtih two appendages) but is a brilliant red as opposed to teal, and his eyes are a dull, empty, gray.
Species: Bronzong
Personality: Malum is a cunning, manipulative Bronzong. He will manipulate others until they outlive their usefulness, and once that point has been reached, he would not hesitate to kill them after that point, or if there was a point where those others proved to be more of a hinderence to his plans. He does not show these vicious parts of his being, though; rather, he acts very cold and reserved. In battle, he is a strategic genius; often taking long and complex methods to achieve victory (unless he's in a direct rush to get somewhere, in which case he makes the most blatant and destructive attack possible.)
History: Before Malum came to Hoenn to hunt for the Stone, he was part of a group of rogues who preformed a very slanted "vigilante justice" to assist the local residents- they would often preform more harm than good in that their "help" caused mass destruction. It got to the point where several members could no longer tolerate what they were doing and abandoned the group, often doing so in violent rebellions. It was after the fifth such uprising that Malum, deciding that the rogues were no longer worthy of his talents, struck out on his own. What happened in the following 400 years remains a mystery, but eventually the Ceus Stone caught his attention, and he has joined in on the hunt for it, hoping to use its power for his own gain.
Other: Those who RPed here last spring might remember him

Name: Kaleb
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Pretty much a regular Dodrio. Three heads, each with two black feathers on them in a V-shape. Long legs, beaks on the heads, covered in feathers. The bottom ones are black.
Species: Dodrio

Personality: Kaleb is extremely viscous. He likes to fight, and will do anything to win, including fighting dirty. He wants to be powerful, destroying anything that stops him from doing so. He likes runs fast, and likes to do so, taking advantage of this skill in battles. He has no sense of justice, and just does what he wants to do. when he kills anything, he drinks a liitle of it's blood, because of what he did when he was young.
History: Kaleb came from a tribe of Dodrios who had made their nests in what would become Lavaridge town. When he was little, he loved to go hunting with the older ones, enjoying the thrill of the hunt. When he made his first kill as a little Doduo, a measly Torkoal, he got his first taste of blood as a tribe ritual. He loved the feeling of power he got, and loved to kill at any opportunity. Every morning, he went out and killed a Koffing, a Grimer or two. However, his parents were not of this belief. They thought that killing should only happen when foood is needed, not as a sport. After a while, the stopped him leaving for the hunt, and he got angry. He eventually ran away, leaving the tribe for good. He heard about the Ceus Stone on his travels, and decided to look for it. He swore that when he got it, he would come back and strike down his parents for condemning him all those years ago.
Other: Clichéd charecter is clichéd.
