Open The Legend of the Nine-Tailed Fox -- Part 1: The Shadows

Nonoshiri bounded up onto the stump and looked at Psi. "My name's Nonoshiri!" he said happily, smiling. "Welcome, Psi! Aurora will make sure you're taken care of nicely." He turned and jumped off the stump, racing to his den.

((
Is it supposed to sound like Sai?
))

((Psst, ijy? Sentences begin with a capital letter, end with a punctuation mark (.,!?). Speech is indicated with quotation marks, "Like this. It is closed with quotation marks as well." Read the sticky.))

((No, not really. It just corresponds to his power. What was your idea?))

Psi chuckled, leaping off of the stump, grabbing the squirrel, and heading into Aurora's den.

Her voice was suddenly stern. "It's not like I don't trust you, but I'll need to keep an eye on you. You can never be too careful."

Psi did not give a retort, and just sat down calmly.

"Wait!" Dustie bouned after "Psi". "Hi, my name is Dustie. I am the medicine fox, and my den is just over there if you need help." Dustie turned her head and flicked her tail in the direction of her den.

((Okay.))

Nonoshiri immediately jumped and let himself land softly, dropping down and rolling onto his back. "Whee!" He stared up at the roof of the den and the sunlight that filtered out of it. "I want to be a warrior someday!"

Ukon silently walked up to the newcomer, which was thankfully not one of his old pack.
"My name is Ukon," he introduced himself. "My mate is Roko; she's in the nursery." He decided not to let on that he had no power yet, in case the new fox- Psi, had his name been?- changed his mind and decided to bring more rogues in and attack. Ukon doubted he would, but it was a lot safer.

Storm took the partridge from ed'Rashtekaresket, and tossed it on the fresh-kill pile.
((We have one, righ? No?))
"Well, what do you want to do now," she mumbled. "Want to do some battle practice? Go swim around in the stream?" ed'Rashtekaresket shrugged.
"Actually, I want to find out more about that Psi," he answered. "Once Aurora is finished with him, we should show him around, and get to know him."
Who is this we, Storm thought with a snort. "Sure, whatever."

Psi twitched his ears, hearing Storm and her friend whose name he couldn't remember talk outside. "If you need to talk to me now, I'm perfectly fine with that," he told them, standing up and padding out of the den. "But I'll need to talk to Aurora afterwards, so don't make it too tiring."

ed'Rashtekaresket blinked, and nodded. "Of course. Well, why exactly are you here? You said a group of rogues lived nearby and you'd give us information. Why us?" Storm gave him a 'what the hell' look, and turned her tail tip white impulsively, keeping it out of sight behind her back.

"Because I had seen you attacking the rogues," Psi replied coolly. "I figured... they are your enemies as well as mine. And there is safety in numbers; if I were to go alone, I would definitely be killed within heartbeats." He grinned. "And so, I thought an alliance was the best solution."

((
"Wait!" Dustie bouned after Psi. "Hi, my name is Dustie. I am the medicine fox, and my den is just over there if you need help." Dustie turned her head and flicked her tail in the direction of her den.

Hello, Darksong? Earth. To. Psi.))

Storm gave ed'Rashtekaresket the death glare, and the white fox nodded.
"That's all I wanted to know. Thank you." Nudging Storm with the tip of his tail, he brought her outside camp, in the nearby underbrush.
"What the hell was that," Storm snapped. "If you're going to interrogate someone, or even ask friendly questions, you have to ask good questions!" ed'Rashtekaresket looked at her calmly.
"It was bothering me," he answered.
"Oh, that makes everything better," Storm barked dryly.

((I know. I was going to make him react, but then Dragon posted, so I forgot about yours. Sorry.))

Psi nodded absentmindedly to Dustie. "Thanks," he mumbled, and padded back into Aurora's den.

"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Aurora asked, having overheard Psi.

"I only wanted to say that I overheard the rogues planning an attack. But it will take a while."

ed'Rashtekaresket watched Psi go back into Aurora's den, and led Storm out of camp.
"Come on, you said you wanted to go swimming?" With a nod, he jumped into the stream, almost dissapearing.
((Do we have a large water source? Lake, pond, sea, ocean, beach..?))
With a sigh, Storm jumped after him, treading the water. Lesse, he won't accidentally eat me if I'm.. well, I'll just be a seagull for now. Pushing herself out of the water, Storm shifted into a seagull and looked down at ed'Rashtekaresket.

((horrible map made on paint with eyehurting default colors :P))

"Do you know their exact plans?" Aurora asked. "Or any more details?"

"It's going to be a massive attack. And they have a different weapon..." Psi's voice trailed off ominously.

"What is it?" Aurora questioned hastily.

"The enemies are not real foxes. They are merely wolves that are small and tainted. Some of them have fur that is pitch-black. And not only that, they are more powerful as well. We are sure to lose the battle."

"Unless the Nine-Tailed Fox..." The leader she-fox considered. "Are you tainted?"

"Not yet," Psi replied. "Since I have light -- psychic powers -- inside me, it takes longer. I escaped just in time."

((Okay, we're in the lake. Instant spacejump :o))
Storm looked down at ed'Rashtekaresket, and shifted into a kingfisher. She dived down under the water, shifting again into a big-ish fish as she did. ed'Rashtekaresket watched her calmly.
"Come on, there's something neat at the bottom," he told her. Storm couldn't really answer, being in fish form. She followed him to the bottom, where some Twoleg thing lay.

((ijy, rules 3 and 9... if I see you doing this too often anymore, I'll have to kick you out, unless you have an explanation to why you don't use good grammar or capitalize. I know you have the potential to

And how did Akira hear them if he wasn't in the leader den?))

Aurora shook her head. "We're trying to have a conversation alone. I'll announce it when it's time." She waited patiently for Akira to leave, her tail swishing back and forth silently.

((I forgot about the 3 sentence thing I will have to work on that and maybe he came in the den afterwords because he wanted to talk to aurora))
"oh sorry I'll leave" said Akira and walked out of the den.

((Psst, ijy? Sentences begin with a capital letter, end with a punctuation mark (.,!?). Speech is indicated with quotation marks, "Like this. It is closed with quotation marks as well." Read the sticky.))

With a flick of her tail, Storm leapt out of the water and shifted into a kestrel again. She screeched at ed'Rashtekaresket, who swam to the shore again. Storm landed beside the white fox, who shook his fur dry, spraying her. A second later, Storm was a fox too.
"Come on, there might be news about about Psi back at camp again," she told ed'Rashtekaresket. He nodded towards camp.
"You go ahead. I'll stay here, fishing for a bit.. Don't worry about me," he said, almost with a sneer. Storm sighed and went on ahead.
