• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

While flight is really awesome, time and space travel beats all.
:D
It kind of includes teleportation, too.

If I could talk to animals, that'd be awesome. It'd be cool to see what was on my cat's mind...

That, or the ability to manipulate Light and Sound. <3

psychic powers, ya know picking people up using your mind,
Telepathy

Telekinesis. Also, that. (Telepathy would also be cool, though.)

Of the ones on the list, though, Teleportation would be the most practical (also, I'm always almost-late so it would be especially useful), as long as I can bring other stuff with me. Teleporting to school is no good if I can't bring my homework and my clothing, after all. Speed could do something similar but I don't think my glasses can take the forces acting on it even if I got the required secondary powers, and teleporting out of a situation is more useful than just dodging the bullets, anyway.

I'm gonna take the cheap awesome man's way out, and say the power to give myself any power. I could do it all...

I'd probably want shapeshifting so I can change my look whenever so I can disguise myself as someone else or alter my body shape, or become an animal when in combat (or when hiding.) I would get flight from a bird or dragon form, strength as a dinosaur or gorilla, and the prowess of the jungle's fiercest big cats. My second choice would probably be telekinesis, so I could transport myself by standing on a platform being controlled by my mind, along with other fun abilities. However, teleportation does seem practical if I can teleport everything on my person or anyone I'm making contact with along with myself.

...The ability to summon weapons at my discretion based on the song I'm listening to. :D

I don't need nothing on that list.

except maybe flying

Shapeshifting, of the Animorphian variety.*Duh* Which literally would be everything rolled up! ...Aside from Invisibility. And Teleportation, obviously...

Shapeshifting into anything. If you wanted to fly so much then shapeshift into a bird and other stuff like that. Turn into an Eevee/Skitty splice thing~

Actually, you wouldn't quite be able to fly in a bird form or fight as a strong animal and so on - you wouldn't know how to fly, fight and s on, until you learnt.

Dammit, I voted for flying before noticing the 'Other' option. I wanted shape-shifting but didn't think I could pick that. And I'm always bugged when I see people replying before reading completely, too. Ah, well.

Well, actually, I think I will stick with my first choice, flying, for several reasons. First, as Castform said, even if you turned into a bird or something you wouldn't know how to fly. Unless you had, like, instinctual stuff a la Animorphs, but then still you would have to learn quite a bit. Second, think about flying for a second. I've always thought that the best thing in the world would be to be able to fly unaided, Superman style. Just the idea of the wind and seeing everything and zooming along and all that. And It would give you a nice sense of perspective, albeit a tad of escapism.

Hmm. I might of changed my mind again. I'm not sure. Okay, so:

Shape-shifting if:

-Unlimited. No time limit (Being a nothlit sucks) and no other real restrictions.
-Instictual/Magical/SCIENCICAL knowledge of how the form/animal/whatever works and moves enough to competently navigate. And fly, for winged things.
-You weren't required to fight crime :D, (actually, this hold true for most powers).

Any of those violated and I'd go with flying.

Goes for me too.

Same, but don't forget if you were stuck in between two forms or trapped in another. That is another right I'd have to my teleporting, shape-shifting self.
