    A job. Sigh, I'd quite like one of those - my financial situation isn't the best right now, and it's not like I might end up living on the streets or anything, it just doesn't look like I'll be in paid employment for a while because there just are /no/ jobs around here at the moment. But I've got a degree to finish before I have to worry about getting a proper career (gulp) going.

    But you're right, not worrying about it seems the best course of action - worrying never helped anybody, and things usually work themselves out. Still, best of luck to you :)

    Oh cool! How's Washington treating you? I'm doing pretty well, thanks; I'm having a little bit of a crisis about what I want to do with my life right now (it looks like I might do a PhD, but nobody really knows), but other than that it's all good. A bit samey, but in a nice, familiar way.

    It always blows my mind how big time differences within the US can be. I'm only 5 hours ahead of Maine (and probably Florida?), and you moving west takes you back by another three. Madness.
